Maybe hiring a fake pack to make your ex jealous is petty… but I don’t really care.

Cameron Whitaker was the one alpha that was able to build me up then tear me down faster than I could blink.

We were scent matches. Meant to be together.

Every omega’s perfect fairytale, right?

Wrong.

Now, thirteen years later, I’m faced with the impossible choice of suffering through my heats without an alpha, or confronting the alpha who rejected me and demand that he fix this… or I would walk away forever.

Things go from petty to pure drama when I realize that the pack I hired to make him jealous, isn’t fake at all… they’re my scent matches, too.

With one alpha learning to grovel, another reluctant to take on an omega, and the others trying to prove they are worthy, I’m more confused than ever.

Can my hot mess pack pull it together before my heat hits, or will all this drama tear us apart for good?

Talk about… Drama, is a standalone mfmmmm why choose omegaverse in the Rockwood Valley Series, with sweet packs, stubborn but strong omegas, and the small town that they call home.

I don’t dnf this author but I had to do so with this book. After ruining her life and not coming after her for 13, hes just allowed back in? Wtf? I didn’t continue on to find out if he grovelled or not but the fact she gave him another chance SO easily made me say nope to this.

Genre: Omegaverse
Tropes: Why Choose, MFMMMM (BOAAAB), Rejected Mates, Fated Mates/Scent Matches, Second Chance Romance, Small Town

I really enjoyed Talk About Drama by Jarica James. This story features Oriana who moves to the big city after being rejected by her mate 13 years in the past, and decides to move back home to Rockwood Valley.

I found this story to have relatable characters who each sought something that the pack as a whole could satisfy. The story is well written and I found myself locked into the Rockwood Valley world. I was hooked. Each of the alphas was fantastic in their own right, and I could have used a bit more relationship building with Oriana and Hudson, Tate, and Lane. While I am not a super fan of lengthy flashback sequences, I would also have enjoyed some flashbacks of Cameron and Oriana when they were in their prime before everything went haywire. I felt that Cameron's actions to try and put things to rights (AKA the grovel) was well done. I don't think it was over the top, he was vulnerable and it wasn't just about gift giving or getting on his knees to beg her forgiveness. Roman is steadfast and I really enjoyed him as a character and strong Beta with some insecurities that don't always get touched on in the OV world.

I would definitely continue to read anything by Jarica James. Well Done!!!

I was really looking forward to Cameron's book since we hear about him rejecting his omega from Book 1. And while it was still a great book, it fell a little flat for me.

We have Oriana (Ori) who is a rejected omega living in the big city about 4 hours from her hometown of Rockford Valley. Her mate, whom she was lucky enough to meet as a child then recognize as soon as they turned of age, Cameron the grumpy Whitaker brother, rejected her when they were only 19. Only not really. Its more like all his Alphas died in a freak accident and Ori tried to be there for him and his whole family and one night in a grief stricken anger, he lashes out at the one person he adores and tells her he regrets bonding her and doesn't love her. Basically, it's a big huge fight.

Oriana runs away and her family for weeks won't tell Cam where she went or how she is while they both drown in grief over a "broken bond".

Then 13 mother flipping years go by. Huh? What? Why? Yeah exactly. Basically the reason the readers get is I guess they're both too stubborn? He internalizes his hatred towards himself and thinks he doesn't deserve Ori and she doesn't want him (Because she blocked him) and she thinks he moved on happily with his life and just didn't love her. They both despite living only 4 years apart and apparently pining for each other this entire time (never date, never try with anyone else) just wouldn't give in and call or even try to see the other.

Ori, after 13 years, learns her incredibly painful heats without anyone are because she's allergic to suppressants and can't take them anymore. By chance, she meets another mate, a Beta named Roman who is flipping adorable. He's 100% all in with Ori immediately. They decide because Ori can't go through another heat without an Alpha, can't use a heat partner because she's still bonded, to go back to her hometown and confront Cameron once and for all.

BUT just to make him feel extra shitty, they hire a pack of escorts to pretend they're her pack. Leon (Beta), Hudson (Alpha) and Tate (Alpha) who all have trust and angsty backstories as well.

Obviously, readers can guess where this goes. Oriana is actually scent matches with everyone so now they have to navigate finding a mate, dealing with painful pasts and setting up life in a new cute town that welcomes Oriana and her pack back with open arms.

The mildly annoying part and what dropped a star is there's ALLLLL this backstory and drama about Cam and Ori in the first two books, then in the first part of this book but when they see each other now that Ori is back, they meet like twice, cry and boom. He's moved in and packed up.

All that for.... that? Disappointing. I mean 13 years people. And is just over with with a few hurt feelings sprinkled in here and there.

Weird comment to add- but they adopt an adult dog with personality troubles which is flipping adorable btw but the author makes him seem like he's this ancient dog with arthritis and issues, but he's only 6. It's mentioned he's dropped off at 2 years old and lived in a shelter for 4 years because no one wanted this old man with problems (a purebred dog?) but Dachshund's can live to be 12 -16 so it seemed a bit odd to me. Silly I know but just a weird quirk that it didn't fit. I kept thinking I read the age wrong.

I liked it. I loved the pack. I LOVED Oriana's omega Dad Brandon. I liked the character reappearances and the Artisanal Fair still growing so I genuinely still enjoyed the book but felt a bit ho hum after all the build up for Cameron's book.

After being rejected by her scent match, Cameron, Oriana flees her hometown Rockwood Valley and goes into real estate. Thirteen years after being rejected, Oriana finds another scent match, a beta named Roman. Then after an appointment where her doctor tells her she can’t stay on suppressants anymore, making her come to the conclusion that she needs to return home and confront Cameron.
With that in mind, she hires Hudson, Roman and Tate to be her fake pack, only they turn out to be her mates.

I loved how Cameron’s family took Oriana back into the family instantly, that just shows how supportive they are of her and Cameron finally getting back together.

I also loved that Oriana coming back home to Rockwood Valley made her realize her true passion after being in real estate for a few years. She loves all things antiquing and her mates love spoiling her.

There was some part of me that wanted to hate Cameron, but I don’t. Sure, he rejected Oriana because he was too wrecked with grief after his dads’ passed away, but he wrote her letters that he didn’t send out…but he also put money into her account and went antiquing for her and filled an entire storage full of precious gems. That’s a freaking win in my book. He did all these little things without her knowledge, and I just love moments like that when the fmc finally finds out all the things that the mmc’s do for them.

I know I’m making this review about Cameron and Oriana’s relationship, but I feel like Oriana’s relationship with him is so detrimental to Oriana and her mental health. Sure, I enjoyed all of the other guys and thought they were an amazing pack for Oriana and what they added to their relationship. They are all supportive of Oriana and care for her wellbeing.

There’s amazing banter, spice, and family connections that I enjoyed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / A Steamy Scent-Match Soap Opera Worth Every Second

Who knew a petty revenge plot could lead to a full-blown omegaverse hot mess in the best possible way? Talk About… Drama delivers exactly what the title promises—piping-hot drama, swoon-worthy packs, and an omega who knows how to stir the pot while keeping us rooting for her all the way.

Cameron Whitaker? The alpha ex who deserves to be dragged through the pheromone-soaked mud. Thirteen years after breaking our omega queen’s heart, he’s about to face the grovel marathon of a lifetime. And honestly? We’re here for every cringe-worthy, knees-on-the-floor moment.

But wait—it doesn’t stop there. Enter the fake-but-not-really-fake pack, and things go from "wow, this is petty" to "hold my heat suppressant" real quick. Turns out, fate wasn’t done scent-matching, and now our omega is caught between her groveling ex, alphas who are figuring out their worth, and the chaotic beauty of discovering what she truly deserves.

Melissa Huxley writes with the perfect mix of sass, heart, and heat to keep you turning the pages faster than an omega in pre-heat. If you’re into “why choose” packs, second-chance redemption arcs, and alphas who know how to bring the steam (and the feels), Talk About… Drama will have you laughing, swooning, and fanning yourself like crazy.

Five stars, one unforgettable pack, and a whole lot of drama—exactly how I like it. 💋

Jarica James has done it again with this series! I've loved each story within the Rockwood valley omegaverse and Orianna's is no exception. It was so good to finally get Cameron's omega and she might be my favourite of the three so far!

The whole relationship development between each of the guys and Ori was great. I felt the pain that Cameron went through and the regret through the actions of his letters, his grovelling and the willingness to fight for Ori once again! Roman and Lane were the perfect beta duo in keeping the balance between everyone and absolutely adored Lane magically pulling out his skills to impress the in laws! Tate's 180 once he met Ori compared to the idea of meeting her charmed me to him, he stood out for fully embracing the pack without confronting Cameron right off. Hudson is still loveable and loved his date ideas with Ori and him standing up for her!

I promise you won't regret reading this if you're on the fence! It's another winner in the series and can't wait for more!

I still adore Rockwood Valley. Returning is like visiting family and friends. Ori’s story is a little different. From the outset, she’s reluctant to fall in love, but she lets her beta love interest and scent match Roman into her heart despite her first love Cameron having broken it years prior. Returning home and facing him due to a medical crisis is not on her bingo card, but with Roman at her side and a fake pack at her back, she thinks she can do it. What she didn’t account for was them being her scent matches as well. Hudson, Tate, and Lane couldn’t be more perfect for her. The way they rallied around her and made her feel seen was perfection. Add in the second chance romance element with Cam and the grovel he gave and all of the exceptional dates planned— the guys as a group really gave good book boyfriend. There are moments when everything could have fallen apart, but the guys know exactly how to appease the parts of Ori that need healed. I can’t wait to return again after this HEA.

Comforting omegaverse

I enjoyed Ori and the story of her pack falling in place. I recommend reading the others in the series in order to get a true character development on Cameron's character. If I was just meeting him in this as a stand alone, I don't think I'd know the depth of his character and how she could forgive him. He's the bulk of her trauma, but also more to him then you get just from this book.

This book focuses on Ori and her journey back home and the making of her pack and their new life. I wish the author were more descriptive in the physical appearance of the characters. Eyes, features, what makes them unique. I needed to pause sometimes to think who was who in the story. They are touched on, but not so descriptive that it was easy to recall. Honestly I felt that in the other two stories also.

But I want to move to this town she created, know the families and friends. I look forward to Nate and Jesse's pack and omega. Will it be Wren? I recommend this feel good read with enough angst to make their HEA worth it!

This third standalone in a small town omegaverse series revolves around a second chance romance between Cameron, who we’ve met before, and the omega he wronged as a teenager. With new mates coming along and a heat that’s unavoidable, Oriana has to get back to the place she left years ago, and the mate still living there.

Even though there is some angst involved, or drama, this is still mainly a sweet contemporary omegaverse. It’s about finding love, granting second chances and building a family together. I had a harder time connecting with the characters this time, but I do believe this is a personal thing. If you’ve been a fan of this author’s small town omegaverse romances, I definitely advice giving it a chance. If you’re new, it might be better to start the first of these three stories, because there is some new information regarding the first book that might not make sense otherwise.

My goodness, Jarica James did it again! I really do love all her Omegaverse books. Oriana is the damn sweetest and toughest omega. And who knew Cameron was such a sweetie under all the gruff. The groveling he did and jumped feet first from the start.with the help of the pack, and the growth that he and the pack had done. Chiefs kiss. I loved how the groveling and can proving he was better for Orientation and how he tried and everything turned out. I do kinda wish we could have gotten into a little bit of Ro's prissy mom. I'd love from Ori and the other to put her in her place.
But I'm just as happy with the amazing story.OH, I WANT A TATE ALPHA, lol. But the character growth you seen him go to fairly fast was awesome. We can't forget about our sensitive lovely beta Lane<3 and Hudson is a sweetheart.
I am looking forward to the our 3rd flirtatious triplet:D

Wow

This is gonna be one of my longer reviews

So while I understand the hate around Cam for most of this book i do feel as I do feel as though some of it is unwarranted. At the end of the day he lost all 4 of his dads and the grief was just too much for him And so he did what he thought was best and he pushed her away and then spent the last 13 years regretting that

I understand what she went through was painful but I also feel like more grace should have been given to him in dealing with the situation he had at the time

Everyone grieves differently and his actions and words might not habe been best at the tome but like I said he was drowning

So for me personally because of this the FMC irritated me for most of this book

I did enjoy this book and the characters though

I love this Omegaverse series, and the third book in the series was another 5 star read for me.

This series is just so good. Small town Omegaverse books are my thing and honestly, there really aren’t enough of them. I love this second chance story so much, and have been anxiously awaiting this book since we first briefly hear about Cameron’s actions in the first two books.

I absolutely love Cameron. Yes, I know he broke Oriana’s heart but there were so many people at fault here once the full story comes out in this book. He is seriously the perfect alpha to her throughout this book. And I love the Whitaker family even more after this book and can’t wait to see what happens with Nash.

This book, and the series, is so good!

Talk About Drama is the third book in the Rockwood Valley Omegaverse Series. It is a why choose, small town, omegaverse romance with emotion, healing, redemption, and a guaranteed HEA.

Oriana is a strong Omega who has suffered immensely through the past thirteen years. Her story is heartbreaking, heartwarming, and everything in between. I loved how strong Oriana is, how her pack gradually comes together, and the challenges that they all had to overcome, both as individuals and as a new pack.

The writing, flow, plot, characters, character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building are all terrific. I loved this book and would absolutely recommend it.

Talk About… Drama was one of the books I was most excited for in this series because who couldn't be interested in Cameron Whitaker and his terrible mistakes. Oriana proves to be such a sweet omega who, like most people, just wants to be loved. When she meets her Beta mate, Roman, and decides she deserves the life she's always wanted she ends up back home in Rockwood Valley with a hired pack of three to make things a little bit more interesting. I really enjoyed watching each of the relationships bloom, as well as the groveling that Mr. Whitaker does in order to earn his place back in Oriana's pack. There were moments I giggled out loud and moments where I was all in my feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and truly can't wait for more!

Wonderful book to spend an afternoon reading.

I liked how the author weaves the story of heartbreak and hope. Sometimes it was hard to figure out who was telling their story without flipping backwards to see. A minor inconvenience not worth worrying about. I loved how she fit so many different personalities and characteristics in one cohesive unit. The main characters had a history shaped by young love, grief, anger and being too quick to stop and think before acting . Holding On to what she thought was truth ended up hurting them and their friends and families far too long. I loved Roman. He was the tie that binds their pack. He was a rock in Ori's storm tossed emotions. He might not have been an Alpha in designation ,but he sure was in disposition. I loved the book.

We are back in Rockwood Valley. This time for Oriana's story. This is also Cam's as well. If you remember Cam from the beginning. It was always mentioned that Cam rejected his mate several years ago, pushing her away, effectively she ran away to the big city and contact was lost. Oriana has made a name for herself in real estate when she meets Roman. Roman fastly becomes hers and he gives up everything for her when she says she's packing up and moving back home to Rockwood Valley. Roman is her rock and is steadfast in his love for her. She hires a pack to pose as her pack. Hudson and Tate are the alphas and Lane is a Beta. Soon they're spending time together and realizing that feelings are involved. I do wish there was more relationship development between Oriana and Tate but other than that this was a great read that involved a great second chance romance, with Oriana learning to heal from the hurt and betrayal from Cameron and Cameron learning how to be there for Oriana and seeing the hurt that he caused. I can't wait for more stories from this town.

This book had me sighing.. we meet Oriana, an Omega who had a bond from her scent matched Alpha Cameron but he shoved her away after a deadly accident claimed Cameron's fathers. Too broken to function Cameron pushes Oriana away.. Cue 13 years later and Oriana meets Roman, a beta who was a scent match. Her suppressants were failing and she needs and alpha. She hires Hudson, Lane and Tate to be her fake pack so she can go back home and rub it in Cameron's face that he needs to man up. Enough was enough. The title of this book is apt. TALK ABOUT DRAMA! I loved it. Equal parts heart-breaking and sweet. I'd recommend this series to anyone who likes OV romance.

So Much Of The Juicy OV Drama We Love

Ok y’all, we all knew Cameron’s book was gonna be FULL of drama considering his past with his omega that he pushed away. And let me tell you right now….DRAMA was the right word 😂 Definitely the good kind though, and it was all right along side passion, chemistry, reignited bonds, forgiveness, redemption, humor, HEAT 🔥, romance, and a beautiful love story about love finding a way, no matter how long it takes. Jarica always knows how to take us on an emotional roller coaster ride that we just never want to get off of! I can’t wait for the next book in this series 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I absolutely adore the Rockwood Valley Omegaverse series by Jarica James! Every time a new book is released, I can’t wait to dive in. Jarica does an amazing job of connecting her books and characters, creating a cohesive and engaging world. I’ve been so excited to learn about Cameron’s omega since the first book, and Talk about…Drama did not disappoint. Oriana, or Ori, was such a sweet, kind, and well-developed character. I also love how, when new members of the pack are introduced, we as readers always have a sense of what’s coming next in the story. Overall, this was an easy and enjoyable read—I can’t wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed this book by Jarica James. It was another great book to the series! This one invoked a second chance romance and found family. It was full of drama but also the sweet and spicy of an omegaverse. I really enjoyed this book.

I really loved the FMC and the way she forgives and falls in love with the MMCs. There are swoon worthy moments and moments I wanted to put the book down, but couldn’t because I was so enthralled with it.

Overall, this book was good. I really enjoyed the characters and plot. It was a good standalone and if you like second chance romances I recommend!

Oriana

Finally it was Cameron’s turn and even if he made one big huge massive regret while grieving. He did well to prove himself. I think this is my favourite pack. I would have loved more of Roman and felt bad Tate didn’t get much of a part with his pack lane and Hudson. But even so was a brilliant story and one that was written very well. Highly recommend and this series. They are all linked with the family in rockwood valley and each book is about one of their siblings. Everybody gets their hea and each with some emotional trauma but nothing too dark. Entertaining and enjoyable throughout ☺️

This was another good addition to series. It had such a different take on everyone coming together. Everything was kind of in pieces but they all made sense together. I really like this town and everyone in it. We get a lot of appearances from past characters. I loved Oriana. She went through something that would have broken many. She found a way to not only pick herself up but in the long term forgive. This pack was so perfect together. I don’t know if we have more in this series but I certainly hope so.

This book was just as good as the other two in the U series! I love that Ori picked herself up after heartbreak and didn’t let that hold her back from her other scent matches and brought her back to Cameron to make him grovel. I love the thought that was put into his groveling and showing that it had been happening for years without her knowing. I wish the book had been longer because I loved this story so much and I wis You h we could’ve seen more of their story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I devour pretty much any and all OV that I can get my hands on and I went into this series without looking at the blurb.

I was not disappointed! Such an excellent omegaverse series. Each book is a different pack but they're all interconnected and its quite sweet to see how the town supports each other.

So many sweet moments and a lot of hurt/comfort in each book. It was exactly what i was craving in my next read!

If you love OV you should definitely jump into the Rockwood Valley Omegaverse!

Once again this was a five star read in this series. I've been desperately wanting this book and for Cameron and his Omega to finally get their HEA. My heart broke for Oriana in this book at the start. I'm so glad we got to see Cam fight and grovel for his Omega. The rest of the guys were perfection and all so different. They all made me swoon throughout and I can't wait for Nashs book , to see more of the previous packs and them living their bestlife's.

it was good

If you haven’t read the other two then I would definitely recommend it to get more background on Cam and Ori. I enjoyed this one however it wasn’t my favorite (I wish Cam would have groveled more). This series definitely does quick, insta-love scenarios so if you enjoy fated scent matches making everything perfect essentially then this is definitely for you. There is conflict but it tends to resolve quickly.

Wow!

I went into this book (after reading the first 2) and was so happy to know that we would be getting Ori and Cam’s story!

I loved every monent of it.

There was grovelling, happiness, tears and a whole range of emotions.

I was glad that this was a bit out of the “normal” OV you get to read, Jarica did a fantastic job of bringing the pack together as well as having them all face their own “demons”.

I loved the positivity regarding mental health and mental health struggles!
