In 1975 he died under suspicious circumstances. The post-communist government denied him a royal funeral.
Selassie is seen as a messsiah/holy person to the rastafarian faith.

Like the Selected Speeches this book is great to understand Haile Selassie I through his words. It has some unique utterances which I believe you can only read via this book.
