I LOVE YOU MORE THAN RAINBOWS is a great book for all ages. The illustrations are incredible, I'm told the words are melodious and fun and it's a great way to help tell a little one in your life how much you love them in a way they can understand using every day joys.

I currently live in Warrenton, VA with my husband, Jeff, and dogs, Emma and Sophie. I love to be outside and when I'm not, my favorite things are spending time with Jeff, Emma, and Sophie, writing, reading, photography, watching a good movie and enjoying the simple things in life. I graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a BS in Business and a double major in Economics. This is my first book, but I have many others written and ready when the opportunity arises.

I love visiting schools (any grades), libraries and bookstores with my book, and story time is always a hit.

I'm currently working on a project called "Operation Rainbows" that gives donated copies of my book to children of military families as well as children who have lost a parent in the line of duty in law enforcement. Check out my website to see how you can get involved. www.susancrites.com"

This is a fabulous book for parents to read over and over with their young children and grandchildren! What a wonderful assurance of how much they are loved! And the the bright, bold illustrations provide plenty of opportunities for vocabulary development, as well. My plan is to buy one for me, the Grammie to be, and one for both my beloved children who will someday have their own kids.

this book is a must have for any children's library. the words are melodious, flowing in fun rhymes and the illustrations are incredible. the colors are vivid and they draw you into each scene. it's a wonderful way to tell the children in your life just how much you love them by using every day experiences that they understand. the book goes from day to night and through the four season so no matter what time of day it is or what day of the year it is, the child knows they are always loved.
Ex. I LOVE YOU MORE THAN RAINBOWS AND BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKIES
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN BUTTERCUPS AND WINGS OF BUTTERFLIES

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN A ROOM FILLED WITH ALL YOUR FAVORITE TOYS
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE FUN YOU HAVE WHEN YOU MAKE LOTS OF NOISE!

(ENDING)
SO MANY THINGS ARE NICE AND THINGS ARE FUN TO DO,
BUT NONE OF THEM COMPARE TO THE LOVE I HAVE FOR YOU.
SO AT NIGHT WHEN THE SKY GETS DARK AND THE MOON BEGINS TO GLOW,
THE STARS WILL TWINKLE AND DEEP INSIDE, I HOPE THAT YOU WILL KNOW . . . .

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

"I Love You More Than Rainbows" is a mesmerizing rhyming story that you can read to your children. My youngest, who wiggles when we read sat absolutely still. When I was done reading she demanded, "Read it again!" Each page tells your little one how much you love them. It is spectacularly illustrated. I especially love the diversity of the characters.

Watch out! If you are an emotional person you might even get a little dewy-eyed (they didn't drop though). I couldn't have expressed the love I feel for my children better if I had written it myself! This is another perfect bedtime story. We can never express how much we love our children but if you are like me you definitely try! This book will leave you with a smile.

A cute story with cute, colorful pictures is exactly what "I Love You More Than Rainbows" is all about. The story uses lots of rhyming verses to show the love a person has for someone else. It also uses different examples of descriptive language, like "I love you more than springtime when everything seems new, the flowers come out, the trees turn green, and even you grow too!" It uses very vivid language so that readers can clearly visualize the text. I really like how the book uses scenarios that kids can relate to. One page can be based on the pool, another at a farm, and another at home. This book could be read at the end of the year to students to let them know how much they mean to the teacher. I would want to read this to them all the time!

I was captured by the colorful artwork on the cover of this book. Mark and Rosemary Jarman did an unbelievable job displaying colors and making the pages come alive. They also incorporate diversity into the children featured.
The book shows the power of the three simple words "I love you" between a child and a parent. They use rhyming and analogies that specifically appeal to children. I will certainly share this book with children of all ages, but I feel Kindergarten through second grade aged children will most appreciate this book.
Simply a new favorite!
