This is the first book in the obsessive love series and it did not disappoint. I 10/10 recommend this book.

This book is unhinged from the beginning! I can’t decide on whether I like Aurora or want to throw a blade at her. First impression this was going to be a Romeo and Juliet type story but hand over mouth, this books last 35% made me gasp and go on a delusional journey with the mc. The one thing I did not like was how unrealistic (even for crime families) all the in school scenes played out and no being caught even though their families watch over them the way they do.

This took me back to the Valentino empire while also creating a new generation to start loving. A really nice mix of old and new.
Her Dark Obsession is book one of the Obsessive Love Trilogy, and Connor & Aurora are just.... PERFECT!
Loved both of the main characters equally. Aurora is a strong obsessive FMC, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Connor is just made for her even when he feels they shouldn’t be together due to their family’s rivalry, he’s your strong alpha type, protective and loveable at the same time. The mouth on this man is 🥵.
The spice is spicing, the chemistry on point, there’s violence and suspense and the plot keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait for book two.
Highly recommend this one.

Wow! Holy stun gun! Aurora and Connor were everything! A forbidden love at first sight. Slightly unhinged and obsessed are incredible characteristics to have if you ask me! I giggled, I kicked my feet and gasped way too many times! What a way to start a trilogy honestly I can not wait for more of sleeping beauty and Prince Charming. THAT CLIFFHANGER?! RUDE KYLIE! Their love story is a rollercoaster I sure as hell don’t want to get off from, I just hope they get their well earned happily ever after when all the pain and suffering is over ♥️

This book gave me slight Romeo-and-Juliet vibes and I loved it! Aurora is such a strong, grounded FMC, and Connor is your classic over-the-top, possessive mafia MMC—and somehow it just works.
I usually don’t enjoy too much push-and-pull between the leads, but the way it’s written here made me feel, instead of frustrated. 🙌🏼
The plot, the writing, the tension, and the romance were everything I’ve come to expect (and love) from Kylie.
That cliffhanger! I have no idea what’s coming next, but I need to know soon.

First of all, this book was short and to the point. I love short chapters, and this book had them. I love a mafia romance 😍. This one, even though based on the teenagers within the mafia families, was still a good one. It felt as though these two were drawn together by some hidden force when the families would definitely not approve. The ending on a cliff hanger, definitely has me wanting to read book two in the series.

Aurora reminds me of her Aunt Izzy more than her mother. Or Neo’s wife. She goes from being emotionless to the tables turning and Connor being that way. Though I get why he is. Book one was great, but I’m feeling like I just want to go back to reading Holly and Theo’s story. Idk if it’s to catch myself back up on the Valentino family tree or just because I feel like Aurora’s story is missing something. Maybe I will find it by the third book. I feel so bad for Kenny & the innocent people who die. I absolutely can’t wait to continue the next book.

Connor is a brooding male who seems caught between the loyalty he should have for his family and the love he has for Aurora.
The all consuming, obsession between them both is so good to read. I love how he doesn't judge her for the way she feels or her actions. I really love how she is the more unhinged one, I'm sat here waving the flag for her to do more unhinged stuff!
The story is fast paced and so so good, the ending had me stunned, i didn't expect that! I am now feral myself for book 2!!!

I often get into a book right away and am in love with the characters, but I was a huge fan of Aurora Valentino before she got her own book/series and the first couple of chapters only made me love her more. Add the star crossed, just as twisted Connor O’Malley and this was a story that was going to get interesting.
From reading Kylie’s Days Of Valentino shorts, we knew Aurora was hiding something and things were going to be complicated. Kylie didn’t just make them complicated she made them twisted and violent and a little heart breaking.
Connor is a character I feel like we’re going to learn a lot more about in book 2 of this three-book series, but he was easy to like and then love. The way he sees Aurora when no one else really does says a lot. It is clear that he and Aurora share a family history that is similar and conflicting but it’s not something he lets stop him.
As for Aroura, she becomes as addicted to Connor as he is to her and there is no way she’s going to lose something so important despite how it will affect her family.
The two together were fire and their fighting was as hot as their sex, and it only made every soft moment between the two more important.
There is going to be a lot to unpack in book two and I can’t wait until Kylie drops it for us.

First of all when I started this story I had planned on just reading a few chapters and going to bed but know I couldn't I had to finish and I did and I don't regret it either! This story doesn't lack depth, it makes you hold your breathe because your not sure what's going to happen next.It starts off where Conner meets Audora who is kind of a emotional weird girl but meeting Conner has changed and not for the good either,first she doesn't want anything to with him and after the do get closer together it's like she is two different people,but they do try hide has a couple until one night Audora does something that changes her and Conner's future and he knows if his family fines what it is she will be killed and may not have feelings for her anymore but he can't let her be killed so he comes up with a lie which checks off Audora more and she starts stalking him,even kidnapped him and now they are on the run! I have always love Kylie Kent books and this wasn't a disappointment either,I hate when their is a second or third part to the story's and wait for the ending a few months down the road but I will! But if you like mafia story's you will like this of two star crossed lovers who can't be together and maybe hate each other but will always be there in love and love and war

Kylie Kent has done it again. This is the second book I have read by her and it was *Chef's Kiss*.
This is a good old-fashioned both families hate each other, Romeo and Juliette vibe, Mafia-coded, story, with a hint of spice.
It's fantastic.
Aurora? We love her. Is she crazy? We don't call her that, but she is for sure unhinged in the best way. She's a badass woman who can surely take care of herself and isn't afraid to do what she wants.
Connor? We also love him. Honestly, he's not as unhinged but he's right up there with Aurora.
There isn't much room for a huge character growth plot, but Aurora does go through emotions and learning about new feelings.
I truly didn't see a need for huge character development because the story was just so good I didn't need to wonder when and how the characters would change or grow.
This story does end on a cliffhanger, so I'm sure the development is going to start where book one ended.
This book was a quick read and there were no plot holes. Everything just went nicely and connected. I'm excited for the next book.
I got to the last page and wanted to throw away my phone because I wasn't prepared for the cliffhanger (even though she straight-up warned us there was one).

I love every single Kylie Kent book but this one was even more amazing! Aurora Valentino is the queen. She is amazing, unhinged, strong, independent, sexy, confident and loyal. I can sing her praises for days because she’s somewhat my female icon. And Connor is the perfect man for her. He is so cocky, hot, too smart mouthed for his own good, yet kind and encouraging to her. The guy is also unhinged with so many red flags but so in love with Aurora. They’re both blind to each other’s red flags. But their banter when they’re trying to hate each other is so good! Especially when they were trying to make each other jealous. You could easily forget they’re in high school from how much, and how many places, they do it. Or how many times Aurora st@bs Connor or some other poor soul. It was great to see her relationship with her parents and to see all the crazy Valentinos. There were so many funny moments between her and her cousins. Until it all came to a head and Kylie left me screaming with that cliffhanger. The last few chapters had me screaming so much! I cannot wait for book 2 and 3 to come out.

For some reason, KU didn’t push me into the review area when I finished all 3 books, so I’m writing one and then copying to the others.
With the exception of the epilogues, this entire series takes place over maybe 6 months. When I started book 1, I swore it was said they were 17. No birthdays occurred, but one day they were 18. You know those books where you’re like “and what happened in between?” None of that here, because there is no moment in the probably less than 6 months that we’re left out of. So when did they have birthdays?!?!?
I was fine with book 1. Mostly liked it. Things just went down hill from there. 18 year old mob boss? Not hot or exciting. Had Connor been 26ish…. Perfect. But 18? 😬
Aurora and Conner had the same exact conversation soooooooo many times. Ok. She’s clingy and more insecure than anyone, but enough is enough.
Book 2 didn’t really do it for me. I liked book 1 much more. But book 3? That virus thing was the dumbest thing I may have ever read. Seriously? Lame!
Ending was boring too. We already knew those 2 situations were going happen, so tell us something juicy instead.
Best part of the series - Some real funny lines/banter.

I put off reading this book because I do not like duets or trilogies, but since Kylie wrote, I knew I was going to read it. I just had to wait until all 3 books were out because I would have survive the cliffhanger that was the ending of this book.
Aurora and Connor are absolutely hilarious. I love how unhinged she is and the fact that he just eats it up! The ninja star moment is something I will remember forever. I kept forgetting they are teenagers getting it on like rabbits at the school library! I was waiting to see what would cause the war between the families, and I did not expect it to be what Aurora did. Poor Kenny! I honestly expected more from Conner. I get that he was upset and shocked but the things he said to her. Knowing she is so insecure about her lack of feelings, he threw her under the bus and then ran over her multiple times with his words. As I was reading it, I was so sure that she was having a dream or something. Kudos to her for kidnapping him though, that was hilarious.

The push-pull between them is pure fire... violent, volatile, and painfully delicious. Their chemistry? Explosive 💥 raw, wickedly intense, and dripping in dark carnal heat. Their dynamic? Toxic (with a capital T) in the best way. Every encounter pulses with power, punishment, and just enough pleasure to keep you addicted. And those final chapters? A suspense-filled spiral that ends in the cruelest cliffhanger.

I think when we were all introduced to Aurora Valentino we got the first impression that she was wild and it is by no surprise that her first book would be anything less🤭.
Think Romeo & Juliet because that is most certainly the vibe that Aurora and Connor gave me. Aurora is from the Valentino family, Connor is the heir to the O’Malley family and while their paths were never meant to cross that most certainly didn’t stop destiny.
Our MMC Connor he fell hard plain and simple, he was obsessed with Aurora and her crazy tendencies. He even called her sleeping beauty which of course was a spin on her name and personally I found it quite cute. Of course Aurora does everything possible at first to deny that anything is even happening between them but she soon falls under the same obsession spell as Connor👀.

Another amazing Valentino story!
This story has a strong MMC and FMC! I am so happy to be apart of the Kylie’s arc team. Just a warning to anyone please read any tropes before reading. There is definitely a cliffhanger at the end of this book beings there will be two more books!
Romeo and Juliet take on Bonnie and Clyde! That’s what this book reminds me of. You have two mafia family’s the Valentinos and the O’Mallegs. Two people not mentioned to fall in love. Aurora is a spicy, spitfire pistol, she reminds me so much of Zia Izzy, she is tough and can protect herself. Bring in Connor O’Malley Irish mafia heir, obsessed and possessive over her after one night. Tragedy happens and they go from lovers to enemies. I can see Aurora being a made women for the family. I am hoping that they can kindle this love again from where it has ended. I am on edge now having to wait for book 2 now.

I just finished this book and I’m already salivating for the next one. Was it the cliff we’re left on? Possibly, but good grief there was something so addictive on these pages that it’s all I can think about.

Connor and Aurora- holy shit I love her books so much. Aurora is know as the crazy one out of the Valentino’s and as the story went on it sure proved it. Connor is Irish and are rivals with the Valentinos but one night they meet not knowing who the other is and sleep together. They quickly become obsessed with each-other and love each other’s darkness. One night at a party Aurora is drugged and ends up mistakenly killing Connor’s cousin. It creates an all out war and he tries to save her from getting tortured and killed. She is madly in love with him and when the Irish steal from the Valentino’s, they declare war. She kidnaps Connor and takes him 3 hours outside the city but is found by his family. Ends on a cliffhanger of a rifle pointed at her head and him diving for her. There was a gunshot but unsure if either of them got shot….
