My Thoughts:
There was a lot going on in this book but the bottom line brought two new workers to the hotel. Chet Waring was a chef that was looking to start over. He had been taken advantage of by his previous employer. He worked for Jonny Arno, who coincidentally was opening up a new restaurant in the area. Osteria Arno was to be the premiere Italian restaurant in the area. They would knock the hotel out of the top spot with the help of Brock Goodwin. If you have been reading the books in this series, you know that there is no love lost between Brock and the owners of the hotel. Brock is always trying to one up them and is always getting knocked off of his high horse.

Ann and Rhonda decided to run the hotel just as they always had. Keeping their high profile guests happy and their profiles low. This is what has made the hotel the best. The staff is still A-1. Everyone does their best to keep the reputation of the hotel at the top. While in competition with the new restaurant, Rhonda and Ann are trying to keep everything running. Rhonda, of course, finds a few couples that she can fix up. Matchmaking is still her thing. Readers will not believe all the trouble Ann and Rhonda get into. They are just trying to live their lives. Trouble constantly lands on their doorstep. Read to see how they get out of it this time. Readers will fall in love with this wonderful hotel and its resilient owners.

Canapés at the Beach House Hotel is the new release by author Judith Keim. I absolutely love all of the Beach House Hotel books, and I have been patiently waiting for this one. Needless to say, it was definitely worth the wait!

Ann and Rhonda, owners of the Beach House Hotel, are once again asked for a special favor by Vice President Amelia Swanson. This time it involves the Italian Ambassador and his family. The owners are known for protecting the privacy of their guests at the hotel, and that is why the VP turns to them whenever she needs help. What people don't know is what goes on behind the scenes to accomplish that privacy. Ann and Rhonda both know that nothing is ever as easy as it seems, but they are always up for the challenges that lie ahead.

In addition to their VIP guests, Ann and Rhonda are dealing with other issues at the hotel...mainly the new Italian restaurant that Chef Jonny Arno is opening close by. On top of that, when Chef Arno learns his former employees work at the hotel, he is determined to try and ruin them and the reputation of the hotel. Ann and Rhonda are sweethearts, but you definitely don't want to cross them!

The story that unfolds is filled with the unexpected twists and turns that always seem to coincide with doing a favor for VP Swanson. Ann and Rhonda are no strangers to this happening, and as expected, they find a way to get through it all and come out unscathed on the other side. Love, loyalty, family and friendships are once again prominent in this story. Judith Keim always weaves together the perfect story and she always finds the correct balance between seriousness and humor!

I received an ARC from the author. My views are my own and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I always love the stories that come out of the Beach House Hotel. Ann Sanders and Rhonda Grayson always give readers a good time. This time is no different. There was a lot going on in this book but the bottom line brought two new workers to the hotel. Chet Waring was a chef that was looking to start over. Thank you to NetGalley for an Advance Digital Copy of Canapes at the Beach House Hotel in exchange for my honest review. The expected publish date for this book is October 20, 2025.

Canapes at the Beach House Hotel is the 11th book in this series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, but is more beneficial to read consecutively.

Anne and Rhonda are best friends who got to know each other when their daughters were college roommates. Rhonda lived in a mansion on the beach, and they have transformed it into a beautiful boutique hotel where they have several weddings a year, but also have plenty of privacy for VIP guests who are looking for the privacy.

In this book, Canapes at the Beach House Hotel, they hire a young man to assist their chef in the kitchen. This young man, Chet, had encountered some trouble in Miami when the chef he was working for stole Chet's family recipes, created a cookbook from them, claimed them as his own, then fired and blackballed Chet. Anne and Rhonda decide to take a chance with him and are thrilled with the success he brings to the kitchen.

Trouble comes about when this celebrity chef who blackballed Chet gets ousted from the Miami restaurant scene himself, and tries to open a competing restaurant in town.

This was a quick read, but I love all of the books in the Beach House Hotel series. I hope you will too!

Once again Ann and Rhoda are asked for a favor by the Vice President of the US. All of her past requests have led to problems for the hotel and the arrival of the Italian Ambassador is plagued by several issues. This time the problems have to do with the arrival of a new chef at the hotel. Chet has been black balled by famous chef Jonny Arno and when Arno builds a new restaurant at a nearby location, the conflict between the two men escalates. As Ann and Rhonda deal with the conflict, they are also faced with additional problems as they work to have more time with their husbands and families while they solve problems at the hotel plus do a bit of matchmaking between the new chef and the daughter of the Ambassador.

This is book 11 of the fantastic Beach House Hotel series. It's a series that should be read in order for maximum enjoyment and it's so good that you'll be happy that you've read it all. I'm not sure how many more books will be in the series but I hope that it continues for many more books.

This has been a fantastic series. Readers can always depend on Judith Keim to give them a book about strong woman in great locations. This series has another plus for me because the women are older and have a lot of life experience. So pack your bags and head to Florida for a stay at the Beach House Hotel...you're going to love it!

Canapes are small plates served before the main meal or event, based on the dictionary definition. In this story, the canapes start out a whole new adventure at the Beach House Hotel!

The main story line of this book centers around a new restaurant opening in Sabal, Florida. Unfortunately, one of the "investors" in the project is the enemy of Rhonda and Ann, owners of the Beach House Hotel, Brock Goodwin. Unknown at the time, but a major factor in the story, the VP asks another favor of Rhonda and Ann, leading to the Italian ambassador and his family staying at the hotel. We also meet Chet and Harper, good friends looking for a hotel to work at for a while, they're also related to the story of the new restaurant.

This book was another great addition to the series. I love how the characters continue to develop through each book, and as a reader you feel like you're watching them grow and change.

Thanks to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Welcome back to the Beach House Hotel, Ann and Rhonda has made it a very special place, and we don't know who we are going to meet when we go back. In this story, Chet and Harper arrive looking for employment. Chet is hired as a sous chef, Harper is hired as a bartender.
This captured my attention, with what is going to happen next, Ann and Rhonda discover they have to change some things, because things happened that hadn't happened before, to holding my breath, waiting to see what just happened, and then there is Brock, still there, still stirring up trouble. This is part of a series, and you should read the series, so that you can see how it all started and how they got from there to here. The connections that are made stays with me.
I received an ARC from Judith Keim and I have enjoyed the whole series.

Another wonderful addition to the Beach House series. Brock is once again causing trouble when he “invests” in a new restaurant called Osteria Arno with Jonny Arno as the chef. Jonny is famous for letting others do the work, while
He takes credit. Threats are made to the Beach House Hptel and Rhonda and Ann have a scare. Will Brock ever stop causing trouble?

When Vice President Amelia Swanson asks for a favor, Ann and Rhonda never know what to expect. A family is visiting from Italy, and they settle in at the hotel.

New staff members Chet and Harper are added. Chet is a true blessing when chef Jean Luc breaks his ankle.

The vivid descriptions truly make the reader feel like they are guests at the hotel. New friends may become part of the Beach Hpuse family

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

Another great installment of the Beach House Hotel series. Chet and Harper come to ask Annie and Rhonda for a job. Chet is a chef who encountered difficulty with a restaurant in Miami. Jonny, the chef there stole his grandmother's recipes and lied about it. He fired Chet and put out a "do not hire" message to the other restaurants. When Jonny is part of a new restaurant that is to open and be a threat to the hotel, some issues arise. Of course, Brock is involved. Phillipa and Luciano were promised to marry by their grandfathers. They do not want to do so. Phillipa and Chet are in love and Luciano is with Harper. Things happen at the new restaurant, and the bad characters are out of the picture.

Judith Keim has taken us back to The Beach House Hotel in the new book Canapes At The Beach House Hotel.
Rhonda and Ann have again been asked to do a favor from Vice- President Amelia Swanson. They know that every time a favor is asked there are going to be hurdles to jump and this favor is no different.
I feel like I am right there with all the characters old and new in each and every story in The Beach House Hotel series.
As soon as I open the book, I lose track of time. I look forward to every book Judith Keim has written and this is just as captivating as the others.

Rhonda and Ann are the owners of The Beach House Hotel. They put all their hard work and hearts into it and made it successful. It is known for privacy, good service and great food. Once again the VP of the US asked for them to put the Italian Ambassador of the UN and his family, wife, Catarina, and daughter, Philippa, so they can look around to buy a home there when he retires. Of course, they were thrilled. The Ambassador asked for a special event there to have an Italian meal, so Rhonda and a new chef, Chet, who just started takes the event on. No one realizes that Chet and Philippa meet in New York, and then they lost touch with each other. Now the young couple are renewing their feelings for each other. What can wrong? Chet and his friend, Harper were let go from their job by Chef Jonny who’s now there opening a new restaurant and trying to compete with The Beach House Hotel Jonny is not a nice person or boss and is causing trouble for Rhonda and Ann. They are wondering if they should have hired Chet and Harper but Chet and Harper told them they really love working at the Beach House Hotel. So the plan is to keep working and staying away from Jonny. All kinds of things go wrong. Phillipa is promised to another man, because their grandfather’s made the pact. Can she and her promise get out of it? They don’t love each other as they should, it’s more like love of siblings. She loves Chet. What will happen? What will the grandfathers say and do? Will Rhonda and Ann have competition from Jonny? Will he continue to cause trouble and lie about the Beach House Hotel? There is lots of twists and turns in this story. Secrets will be revealed. Will Rhonda and Ann get hurt? They always seems to get in trouble. I didn’t want to put it down. All the characters are wonderful. Like one big family. I was rooting for everyone. Judith Keim always brings you into the story, like you’re there with them. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Judith Keim has brought us back to the Beach House Hotel for another adventure with Ann and Rhonda and some new characters that need to be watched over. The book is a relatively quick read, and my kind of book to read on an airplane flight across the country. I read this one on a vacation and it was just what my brain needed - a bit of adventure, a bit of love, and an ending that was gratifying. Judy’s style of writing is, i believe, one of simply saying what is going on without lots of unnecessary embellishment. I always look for the next Beach House Hotel story that is bound to be written.

I really enjoy the longstanding friendship Rhonda and Ann have and how they are the partners who own the Beach House Hotel.  This book was such fun to read because of their friendship, the romance at the hotel, the interesting guests, the unique weddings, and even Brock, the president of the Neighborhood Association, who had been a thorn in their side since day 1.  He didn't disappoint me in this book as he was up to his old antics and more.  I really enjoyed the heart pounding moments and how everything turned out.  I am ready to book a stay at the Hotel and eat canapes along with Rhonda and Ann.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Author, Judith Keim has a wonderful series going with her Beach House Hotel books. These are standalone books with recurring main characters, Ann and Rhonda owners of the hotel. This time around they are dealing with an unscrupulous chef in town that is rumored to be involved with the mob. Although Ann and Rhonda welcome competition, they do not like the tactics of this new owner. There is also a little romance in this book. So if you like a little mystery, romance and a lot of reading enjoyment, then this is a must read. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author without remuneration and this review is my own opinion.

A Beautiful Series

I really hated to finish this book because it meant that I was also done with the series and I would no longer be able to escape into the lovely community at The Beach Hotel. It has been such a pleasure to follow the lives of Rhonda and Ann as they met their daughters, became good friends and learned how to run a hotel. Judith Keim has a magical way of describing characters that makes you want to hang out with them as they journey through trials, tribulations and triumphs. And her descriptions of the western coast of Florida made me want to go there as well. I really hope that there might be more to come ( hint hint)!

Every time I read about The Beach House Hotel, I want to go visit there. Rhonda and Annie are so special to each other and to their friends, families, and co-workers. Wouldn’t it be great to have a boss who cares about you like these two do? The story line is always so good. As soon as I receive the book, I have to read it and don’t want to stop till I finish it. The only problem is I don’t want it to end. Take a trip to Florida and enjoy your time with these wonderful folks and their always interesting guests. I received an ARC of this book, but my opinion is my own.

I have read all of the beach house series books. Each has its own personality. The book starts out at Sabal Beach. New characters are introduced. Chet and Harper come to the hotel looking for work. Chet was fired by Jonny Arno, who coincidentally happened to open a new restaurant to compete with the beach house restaurant. And of course Brock is part of the sceaming to make the owners angry.
A lot more goes into the plot of this book. I loved this one the best. I know there will be another because there’s so much more to tell.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this ARC.

I just love all the Beach House Hotel series books. They are so enjoyable. This is a place I would love to stay at and dine there. Ann and Rhonda are the owners of The Beach House Hotel. A new restaurant opens near The Beach House Hotel and has an owner that is connected to the mob and wants to cause trouble for Ann and Rhonda. This is such an enjoyable quick read and has everything you want in a good story, family, close friends, romance, and a murder. Thank you to NetGalley for an Advance Digital Copy of Canapes at the Beach House. I can't wait for more stories in this series.

Love this series! Ann and Rhonda face so many challenges to their hotel that affect them personally as well as their staff family and, yet, handle all with aplomb. Whether original members of the staff or even new staff members, all are treated with true consideration for what’s best for the individual and their hotel. It’s a place where you would like to work because when anyone has a personal crisis , all others step up to fill the gap and to keep the hotel running at full efficiency. Thanks to author Judith Keim for an ARC of this book; this is my honest review.

Canapes at the Beach House Hotel is another, super satisfying, well written book from Ms. Keim. The Beach House Hotel with Rhonda and Ann, their families, hotel family and more is one of my all time favorite series. Once again we see these strong women rise above the difficulties that beset them. The demonstrate strength, dignity, business acumen, concern for their employees and love for their families as they work through the current crises in Sabal, FL. Once again Ann does not let Rhonda put out a contract on Brock but as usual, his plans misfire spectacularly!

A new restaurant opens up near the Beach House Hotel. The owner is a shady character along with Brock, the thorn in Ann and Rhonda’s sides. A young chef and his friend become the newest employees at the Hotel. A family from Italy arrives and their daughter is the one the chef met a year ago in NY. Lots of opportunities for Rhonda to play match maker. It’s a great series, the new characters are well developed, and I look forward to more as the Beach House Hotel family grows.

I loved this story. Ann and Rhonda are so cute. I have loved all of these stories of the Beach House Hotel. There is always romance, a run in with Brock, a little trouble with someone. Vaughn and Ann had such a wonderful relationship and we got to visit with the kids and the T's. So cute. The story had everything you would want. I highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite series by this author and Canapes at the Beach House Hotel, continued in the tradition of a fun read. Not only does the reader reunite with favorite characters, there are plenty of new ones the round out the story. Its a sweet story but still filled with some twists and turns that keep the reader from putting down the book. This is one of those series that you hope will go on forever.

Rhonda and Ann owned the Beach House Hotel. Their nemesis, Brock, brought a chef, Jonny, over to tell then that Jonny's restaurant they were creating would ruin the business at their hotel. Both men were determined to do whatever was necessary to harm Rhonda and Ann's business. This story is about a hotel family that supports each other, mentoring the new staff and rewarding those who do their jobs well. It was interesting to see how they mixed loving families with work responsibilities.

Love the two lead characters because they are strong women. They work well together in solving problems and finding solutions. There is always some sort of twist that keeps you reading so that you can find out what happens at the end. There are always some interesting secondary characters as well. Like the setting and the background of the story. Good read.

One of the best in this series! All the characters we’ve grown to love are back, and a handful of new ones join the mix. The story moves at a quick, easy pace and, as always, there’s a touch of danger, a dash of intrigue, and plenty of romance. A perfect addition to the Beach House Hotel series.

I read this book as an advanced reader copy.

I always love going back to The Beach House Hotel. The friendship between Ann & Rhonda is unconditional.
VP calls asking for a favor usually means trouble for Ann and Rhonda. Brock always seems to be caught up in what’s she asking. This time was no different. They met new friends and were shown that their hotel family is the best.
