Grey Wolf Pack #3

The Librarian and the Wolf

Rate this book
Terri Lin, human, librarian. Following a devastating heart break Terri came to the town of Rose to start over. Not wanting to suffer the same heartache she dated younger men who like her just wanted a bit fun. She thought her latest young wolf would be just the same. He’s handsome and charming, but also childish and inconsiderate. She knows he’s still young and wouldn’t want to be tied down. So why does she yearn for more?

Mal Tanner, wolf, Enforcer. He never expected to find his mate so early in life and yet from the moment he met the curvy little librarian he was smitten. Can he convince his mate that he’s the right wolf for her? Can he show her that he wants them to be together forever?

Or is someone else vying for her affection? Someone else who thinks dead birds nailed to her front door make a heartfelt gift...

Please note this novella is approximately 36,500 words in length (a quick read whilst waiting for Mike and Molly to start! Is anyone else watching that too?)
But I must advise caution! Contains scenes of a sexual nature with m/f interaction intended for mature readers 18+. (And there’s quite a bit of swearing too!) Naughty librarian...

For me this one was an okay read. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two. Terri and Mal seem to have a little inner heart communication problems which was possible due to the age difference in the characters.

Okay read, kind of a no brainier if you've followed the series. Kind of want to see some depth in these stories to show something other than the obvious. A twist here and there won't hurt a bit more action some deception anything that will make you want more would help.

This book, while being a Straight romance, involves a lot of things we don’t often see!
An Asian woman is our heroine, and she isn’t fetishised!
She’s significantly older than her lover!
They both learn how to communicate better!

So how does it meet my usual expectations?
Well…

Were there PoC? Explicitly! Time & energy is spent explaining our heroine without making a big deal about it. She’s not exoticism’s or fetishised for being Asian.

Were there Queer characters? Not explicitly, more’s the pity. The dearth of Queer folks is partially smoothed over by the paranormal elements of the story.

Were there Disabled characters? Not explicitly. An expected situation, but all the same.

Was it worth the time? HECK YES this story was Adorable! There was just enough Plot to tie things together & drive the story forward, with plenty of romantic shenanigans!

Would I re-read? Oh, yes. Definitely. Especially because it’s part of a series, it’s always fun to revisit stories like this when I have more context for the secondary characters!

Would I recommend this book? Despite being book 3 of the series, this is an easy way into the world. It’s got all the familiar story beats of a sexy romance, but with a few good differences. It’s an easy book to throw ‘round your friend group!

Grey Wolf Pack Romance Novellas Book 3 - The Librarian And The Wolf - By - Elizabeth Ann Price

The third book in this highly enjoyable series and we learn more about Terri Lin the local librarian. At twenty eight Terri is enjoying her life and her time she is spending with a local wolf shifter named Malcolm Tanner. At nineteen Mal is a bit younger than Terri and she fears their age gap could be a problem and that perhaps Mal doesn't have the same level of feelings for her that she does for him. Mal is besotted with Terri, she calls to him like no other but he worries that she may think because he is younger and not as educated as her he fears their relationship may not last. Through some misunderstandings and an evil third party trying to have Terri for themselves this was a great read, a real page turner. Filled with guessing at what would happen next, wanting to Gibbs slap Mal around the back of the head at times, laugh out loud moments with some high steam, this was a great addition to a great series. Enjoy. Happy Reading.

Spoilers.

If he calls her “baby” one more time I’m going to throw my phone.

Age gap doesn’t bother me, however maturity does. He had 0 maturity and it annoyed me. I would have preferred her be with the stalker than him.

I liked the story, just hated the H.

Terri Linn wouldn't consider herself old, but dating Enforcer in training Mal Tanner makes her feel like she is rocking the boat a bit. Believing the relationship is just about sex, Terri is confused by Mal's public displays and then in the next moment he doesn't call. Deciding it's time to end the relationship, she is not prepared when Mal tells her she is his mate.

I was torn on this one, the story itself is good. The problem I had was his age, he was nineteen and I think acted a bit like a nineteen year old. If he had been a year or two older I think I would have been all over this story, but his youth bothered me a bit. I will say it is well established in the story that when it comes to shifters/mates there is no age barrier it's instinct and their nature. I will probably reread this and give it another chance.

Empowering, Sexy, and Wolverific!!!!

Everyone wants to find their mate know matter their age difference. This installment I really liked because E A Price wrote about the one thing that people always have something to say about and that is an older woman and a younger man. I liked the fact the younger male did not have a problem with the age difference but as always we women have a problem with that. We as women can leave a relationship because we think we are being talked about because we like younger men. Check men do it all the time and it is fine but it is not fine with us.
I love this series but the only thing the book could have more of is a little more action but that is ok. This series is well worth the read!!!

Great Wolf shifter / human Romance

Terri thinks Mal too young for her, but she is uncertain of his motives other than sex and crazy about him. Mal is uncertain love since he's never experienced it before after all he's only 19.

Mal's ex-girlfriend tries to sabotage their relationship. And to top it off she has a stalker. What next?

Read to find out what happens? The characters are interesting. Sometimes the relationship between Terri and Mal is hilarious. I would highly recommend this lighter and romance.

The 3rd instalment of the series, is the story of Mal 'the terror' Tanner and Terri the Librarian.

Although it is still a good read, I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous two in the series. There is a big age gap between the two main characters and there is a lot of miscommunication between the two.

Lots of little gifts are left for Terri, including dead birds nailed to her door, flowers and her favourite book. Although these aren't from Mal but from her stalker, who goes a bit psycho when he learns that Terri is pregnant.

Still enjoyed it.

Sweet and Funny

I thoroughly enjoyed this third book in the series. Two people smitten with one another, but in this case the male wolf shifter is only 19 and the human woman 27. What starts as a brief fling becomes more, but she has insecurities about their age difference. Other people interfere and prior relationships rear their ugly heads. But with this book there were LOL moments that kept me smiling. Oh, and I noticed far fewer grammar issues. Good job.

The age difference wouldn't have bothered me if the male lead, Mal, wasn't so so young. He isn't old enough to drink, when he 'makes' the female lead, Terri, a meal turns out his mommy cooked it and when he takes her home & makes her shriek it's actually his mommy & daddy's home cause he still lives with them. Lucky him, the next morning he's able to ask mommy to wash his girlfriend/mate's dirty clothes. Guess he isn't allowed to use the washer just yet. Maybe in a few years...

I had to rate this book a three because like so many reviews I've read the editing can be a tiny bit distracting. Fortunately the story is fun so you kind of edit as you go...
What I really like about this author is that her characters and stories have diverse people and situations. two thumbs up on that point... I'm looking forward to reading her other books.

I really enjoyed Terri and Mal’s story. This was already setup from book one and I looked forward to seeing how they managed to find their way through. This had a little of everything: action, mystery, angst, sexy times and both Terri and Mal felt well developed and their ending was deserved. Very enjoyable read!

Love with a little stalker mixed in.

I enjoy the way the storyline is put together by introducing characters in the previous books and giving one a taste of what might be going on with them. Books 3, has the same idea going and I'm sure ill love the next one, just as much as the first three.

Human Terri Lin, 28, is afraid of being hurt after her last boyfriend turned out to be married. She dates 19 year old Malcolm Turner thinking to keep it casual, but she ends up falling in love. Mal is slow to realize Terri is his mate.

Enjoyable

Light entertainment, an easy read. I definitely like the characters in these stories-makes me wish I was a wolf! Or a wildcat, can't decide. Definitely predator, never prey!

The " cougar" gets her wolf

This was a very sweet story. I had read other books in this series and I read them out of order, they all are very sweet. I recommend this book but read them in order so they make sense!

Good book

There is nothing wrong with this book. I just don't like the relationship between Terri and mal. I can't relate to a relationship with man that young. That is the only reason I give it at rating of 3 out 5. I don't like the main characters in this story

I really enjoyed this shifter story. Their age difference was interesting, but didn't seem to bother anyone and I loved that. I hope to read more of E. A. Price soon.
