Melanie Ramirez is on the run. For three years the little witch has been stalked by a vampire who just won’t take no for an answer. She needed to disappear. Which is why she changed her name to Melody James and showed up one day in the small town of Rose. All she needs to do was lay low, go unnoticed and live quietly. Not an easy task when faced with a wolf who excites and irritates her in equal measure...
Hans Lucas is infamous in his pack for two things; hating witches and being the most aggressive wolf around. He doesn’t like other people and they don’t like him. Wolves and humans alike know not to mess with him. Even family members are wary of him. So then why does the newest witch in town purposefully choose to rile him? Why does it bother him so much that his better looking, younger brother has taken a shine to her? And why should he care that she’s lying about her past?
Will Melanie be able to escape her past and will Hans accept her as his mate?
Please note this novella is approximately 35,000 words in length (a quick read whilst waiting for the washing to dry!) But I must advise caution! Contains scenes of a sexual nature intended for mature readers. (And quite a bit of swearing too!) Naughty wolf...
Under the name E A Price I write short novellas about shifters and supernatural beings, with a little bit of romance, a tiny smidge of mystery and a healthy dose of steaminess! I'm self-published on Amazon Kindle, and write in my spare time.

For three years, Melody James has been running from a vampire who is stalking her, she thought she was safe in Rose, VA. The Circle has broken up, but that doesn't mean Melody has given up, especially when she sees the HELP WANTED ad in the pizza parlor window. Of course, that's before she meets the head chef, wolf shifter, Hans Lucas. Everyone thinks they don't mix, like oil and water or fighting like cats and dogs, but really, their like gasoline and a match. Together, they ignite an intense blaze, but out of the darkness Melody's past is stalking them, intent to snuff out their fire. What's an angry pissed off wolf suppose to do? What else, protect their mate.
I know this novella has a lot of mixed reviews and I ask you to please check out my PO section, where I address some of the issues, but in all, this is a series I highly recommend checking out.
Characters/fu-bo: Note: I have decided to put this long fu-bo list as a spoiler, mainly because although each novella in the series can be read separately, they don't follow exactly chronologically. Some of the novellas go back in time to give past history and help explain information. That being said, I love my fu-bo list, mainly because it tells me if there is a character I really like, when and if they are going to get their very own story. If you do choose to click on the spoiler link, you will see they all do (& there are many more characters who will be introduced in the series as it continues, so . . . )
Personal Opinion:
I'd like to begin with what I like about this book. I liked Melody & Hans as a couple. When we first meet Melody in A Mate for the Beta, I thought she was going to be as subservient as Liv and I was prepared to be frustrated, but wow, was I wrong. It's Hans who brings out Melody's true personality or at least what I think is her true personality. This novella (at least in chapter one) picks up after the Circle is broken, but before The Alpha's Mate (actually, if you read The Alpha's Mate, you saw part of the romance between Melody and Hans heating up). These two love to fight. Of course, fighting eventually leads to other things . . . ★~(◠‿◕✿)
There were a few things that bothered me and I am going to ask you not, I mean NOT click on the spoiler link, because it might just ruin the book for you. If after you read the novella, and are interested, feel free to come back and click.
Below, I mention the issues I addressed in the first review of this series, mainly the grammatical errors, but I honestly feel there were less errors in this one. It's not as I mentioned in a previous review I wrote, where the errors are easily over looked (i.e. our eyes glance over them or fix them for us), so while reading this novella, I wasn't stopping frequently and trying to make sense of sentences, paragraphs, etc.
So, now to the brass tacks. Yes, there are a lot of grammatical issues with this novella, but please note, this is a novella, and Ms. Price self publishes her stories. I think if it's a huge issue for you, please contact her on her website and offer or suggest she send her novellas out for beta readers, so these grammatical issues can be solved before she posts her work on Kindle, etc.
Yes, there are also some issues with the flow of the story, again, this can be alleviated with the use of a beta reader. Also, this is the first novella is the series, so primarily, it is setting up the world building. I don't know if anyone else has the same issue, but I have to admit, usually when I read the first book in a series, it takes me a while to adjust and sometimes I feel there isn't enough of the world building. That being said, if the plot is interesting or I can see a small idea of the concept the author has for the series (see above), I usually check out the next one in the hopes that there world building will expand. This usually does happen.
I do enjoy this series, I think there is an interesting concept, and with each next novella, I feel the story as a whole progresses. I guess that is one of the good things about my inability to write reviews when I first read a book, because it allows me to continue to the series and when I do find the time to come back and write the review, I am able to understand the series a little better.
Now, one thing I would recommend to Ms. Price is I just recently read an updated version of a series I read in the past, so in the future, maybe after a beta reader or she herself has re-read the books in the series, she could fix some of the grammatical errors and flush out any parts to make them appear a little smoother and re-release this book. I won't lie, if this were to occur, I would definitely buy it again.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
This one was better seeing it had a bit of a twist going on with the Vamp. Not just the twist but his reasoning behind what he was doing was a bit shocking. We never get his name or any details about him though, then again you don't get details about Melanie either. Good read just enough to read the next one.
Grey Wolf Pack Romance Novellas Book 4 - Into The Arms Of The Wolf - By - Elizabeth Ann Price
This is the fourth book in this delightful series and this story was one of my favourites. Melanie Ramirez was a young witch trying to find her place in the world when a vampire decided she belonged to him and began to terrorise her repeatedly he stalked her wherever she went not happy until he reminded her there was no escape. When Melanie made her last escape she changed her name to Melody James, altered her appearance and became a shell of her former self. She hoped moving to Rose would be her safe, she wasn't prepared for Hans. Hans Lucas is a wolf shifter and works at his family run restaurant Pizza moon as a chef. Hans is not exactly a people person, he is mean and moody and feared by the majority of his pack and that is how he likes it. People stay out if his way and leave him alone. Until he meets Melody/Melanie, she doesn't fear Hans lucas, nope she stands up to him, pushes his buttons and teases him in the best of ways. They both are trying to deal with issues from their past not expecting that they could be each others future. I love the banter that they share and how they develop their relationship and how they grow closer despite the evil lurking in the shadows. Thoroughly enjoyed this book, it has a great plot, high heat and lines that have you grinning from ear to ear. Happy Reading. 5 out of 5 stars.
Melody and Hans are my favorite couple. Both have difficult back stories. Neither changes the other. They learn to love each other as is. Accepting the warts and all. Perhaps that’s why they are one of my faves!
I really like the whole series. It's interesting, keeps your attention, I liked that she hit on the people in the entire town of Rose VA and not just the wolf pack. It made it more interesting. I also.liked that each book was not extremely long.
So this isn't my first and I am really jumping around in the series as I want because I am curious about certain characters, etc, etc, etc i think it is allowed in this series, while there are overlapping storylines i think it is still possible to read them out of order, I will be reading the rest of the series most likely just not...in ...order because im weird now XD
This one while i thought might have been a favorite because I really really really liked Melanie in the other book I read, i think it was the 8th in the series, and i wanted to read her story unfortunately i was a little off put by some of the points of the characters.
I still loved Melanie but i found her development unnatural, I found that Hans was a little tooo aggressive to find really lovable but I think that he is an acquired taste, and there is nothing wrong with that, I wouldnt attack the author because of that but I just found that he wasn't really my cup o tea. Also at the end there were some major inconsistencies unless I was reading it wrong and perhaps i was
Alright im off to read another one of these books because I am *slightly* addicted
This one was a little more memorable in the series. The plot is different than most "running from the vampire" type of books which is good. I liked the two characters together and the writing wasn't bad in this one, however this is a little darker of a story because her living nightmare is an ongoing thing until the end.
I didn't really get a romantic feeling between the two main characters, it just felt like he needed to protect her out of instinct rather than love. Maybe that's just me.
The ending felt rushed, but overall I would say this is one of the better ones in this series and I do enjoy it.
This was the first book I read by E.A. Price and as a result I'm now a firm fan and have read all the books prior to this one in the series and am looking forward to the rest of the series.
Melanie has had to run away from her previous life as she is being stalked by a vampire. She joins the witches circle in Rose, as she thinks she will be safe from her stalker. However the circle is disbanded, and she starts working at a Pizza Parlour where a very moody, albeit sexy wolf Hans works.
Enjoyed her sharp tongue, and his stormy character. Looking forward to the next one.
While all of the books I've read are well written by EAP, violence against a women is not always easy to read. I can say it's well played out and has Melanie going thru effects of her experience. She does get her HEA, but I really like that fact EAP incorporates the fact that she may still had residual side affects. Thumbs up for tackling a hard issue and coming out on top, with a another great book! On to book 5!!!
The hero and heroine go so well together. He's an Ass and she throws it back at him. Sounds harsh but actually it is very funny. You will have to read the story to understand why. They are good for each other in so many ways. But first there is a vampire that has done unspeakable things. He really needs to die.
Just keeps getting better and better! I again found myself not being able to put this one down. Could still use a better editor but I find myself being able to overlook that, as you get dragged into the story line. I cant wait to read the next one I have been looking forward to reading about Mac and Andy since book 2.... I recommend this series. Its a great light read for the summer.
I love this series so far. This book was the best, I finished it in one day. You have an angry wolf who hate witches but can not seem to stay away from this particular witch. The attraction between the two is written all over them. This is what makes this book a page Turner. If you have started reading this series it gets better and better.
I liked this book! Shifter storyline that was entertaining. Hans and Melanie seem to have a love/hate relationship. Hans was so determined not to accept that Melanie was his mate due to her being a witch. Good lord that man frustrated me and made me want to smack him. This series continues to be interesting and can't wait to read more.
RUNNING FROM THE VAMPIRE INTO THE ARMS OF THE WOLF
Another Grey Wolf romance that is sexy, sometimes funny, and scary dramatic story. A new witch comes to live in the town of Rose and meet her match. S. Otto
Good easy read, like all the books I've read by Price. Good story lines and different stories that overlap but don't interfere. Haven't read a book by Price that I didn't like.
This book has to be my favourite of this series, I loved it. Loved the characters and storyline! I just love a gruff alpha male and strong-sarcastic female!
Oh man...so far this is my favorite. I love Hans...he's so annoying and yet amazing and his mate is wonderful. The things she went through and stayed strong and firstly is awesome. Loved it
