Marion McCready was born in Stornoway and lives in Dunoon, Argyll. She studied Politics, Classics and Philosophy at Glasgow University. Her poems have been published widely, including in Poetry, Edinburgh Review and The Glasgow Herald. She won a Scottish Book Trust Award in 2013. Her first full-length collection, Tree Language, was published by Eyewear in 2014, chosen by Jon Stone as the Melita Hume poetry prize winner.
