A very simple yet touching novel. The characters are real and one can relate to them. The love story will remain with you for a long time.

I recently ordered 'Beyond Forever....in love', the debut novel of very talented Kiran Joshi and

it was one of the books I finished reading in a day.

The story revolves around a physiotherapist Kamna who decides to change her career completely and

enter the corporate world through an MBA course.During her stint at the B school, she meets her ex

patient and falls madly in love with him. Her college pals and hostel mates Rucha and Siddhi have

their own love lives going parallely while her other friend Soumitra has keen interests in black

magic and Voodoo.

If the characters aren't interesting enough, the story has its own twists and turns which keeps

the reader engaged. It does have the Bollywood vibe and I shall not be surprised if this story is

picked up to be made into a flick.

Her well gripped narrative writing style and strong emphasis on emotional aspects of the

protagonist are the plus factors which one doesn't easily find in newbie authors.

For the first attempt at writing fiction in romance genre, I think it's a good read.
Kiran Joshi - Well written. Keep it up

The book follows the story of Kamna, a dreamy eyed girl practicing her medical career as a physiotherapist, who suddenly realizes that her choice of career as well as boys have been totally wrong! She tries to turn around things for herself, as she moves to Mumbai to do MBA and keeps away from emotions till the time Varun, her old patient comes in her life again. She falls for Varun but one night things change and Varun is a changed man. Will their love be stretched beyond forever or will it come to an end.
Beyond forever..in love includes everything a typical Indian drama has; friends, love, family, clashes and a happy ending. The main protagonist Kamna is quite brilliantly portrayed and you feel instantly connected with her life and her various flawed decisions. The author effortlessly brings out the internal struggles of Kamna, over her various life decisions leaving us thinking about our own. The story captures our interest as it progresses and keeps us glued to it until the end.
I loved how the author built-up not only Kamna’s character but also her friends and Pratik’s character. The author made a fine effort in carving out Pratik’s immature character that it makes us connect with Kamna’s feeling of being walked into a trap and her desire for a better relationship.
The author penned down Rucha, Siddhi and Soumitra’s character very well too and did them justice in the book as they were one of the crucial elements in the progression of the story. I enjoyed their stories too and kept looking out for them throughout the book.
When we enter the love story between Kamna and Varun, at times I felt the author exaggerated Kamna’s feeling towards Varun making us feel that we actually are reading a fiction. The feelings part could have been a little better. The author could have also done a better job with Varun’s character. We get the feel of Varun and how good he is, but we are just not able to connect with him. Since the story is basically Kamna’s POV, I felt her character overpowered Varun’s importance in the book.
For a debut novel, the author has done a great job. I loved how the author brought in the Indian family sentiments too. I am awed how she so nicely portrayed the typical Indian mother’s character and their nagging about the marriage issues.
I would definitely suggest this book for anyone looking for an enjoyable light-hearted young-adult romantic drama kind of book. I am rating this book a 3.5 stars.

Note: I won this book in goodreads giveaway and so I would like to thank goodreads and the author Kiran Joshi for the book.

Out of my busy schedule due to the last semester of college, I am getting quite less time to read this month and this shall continue for all the months to come in 2014. Somehow, I am done reading Kiran Joshi's debut 184-pages novel "Beyond Forever ...in love" published by Pustak Mahal/Cedar Books. It is another attempt by an Indian author to write a love story and touch hearts of the audience who believe in simple and heart-touching stories. As a debutant, Kiran Joshi has given a fine attempt which can be kept in consideration that the writing will improve with books to come. Anyone who attempts chick-lit or love stories in India aren't expected to be great writers with their first book and hence I won't be very harsh on Kiran Joshi. Considering her age and experience, it was wonderful to find that the plot of the book had something into it which can keep me excited to read the book till the end of it.

Kiran Joshi's writing style is very Indian and simple. You will not run for dictionary even once. If you love teenage love stories then Kiran Joshi might be one of your favorite authors in future. But if you have already progressed and have started exploring other and bigger genres then Kiran Joshi will remain unattended. The story that she has narrated focuses on how Kamna, who is about to turn into a physiotherapist, has already faced harsh truth in love with her ex-boyfriend, Pratik. The experiences she had with him makes her believe that love would be the last thing she would be looking for. However, she meets Varun and finds herself attracted towards him. Later on she comes to know that he is son of one of the richest businessmen of India. What happens next is why this book has to be purchased by you. :-)

With Kamna and Varun, even other friends are discussed and their character is treated extremely well. If this is how authoress has treated characters in her first book itself, with refinement and exploration, she can develop better characters in her future ventures. I found few drawbacks too: Starting with, I didn't like story to be as simplistic as this. Everything was very predictable from the word GO. Also, there are few grammatical and spelling mistake for which I would like to thrash the publication house. What were their editors doing? But overall, I appreciate that Kiran Joshi didn't drag and stretch the simple story and made it boring. I give this attempt of her- 2.5 out of 5 stars. Specially written for the audience between 15-23 age group.

Thanks.

I seek this book as the match to the Quote, "Marriages are made in heaven and are consummated on earth".

I don't know to which category I should put this book in. Whether it is a fiction, fantasy or romance. So, lets leave it. Because it has romance between two persons but is far away from the reality of middle-class to middle-class and millionaire to millionaire one. Question arises for why one millionaire fell in love with the girl who's status is just of middle-class family. But as we knew, cupid is blind and is still on duty of darting anyone. Girl fell for some guy to the level of lust and that also without knowing his to the fullest. OMG!! But that's OK. Love stories are mostly unimaginable and extraordinary and every story is different from other one. But why the black magic needs to be enter in such circumstances? Then, the filmy story of millionaires, Sting operations and what not.
Father of girl got ready at last for his daughter's marriage without any objection saying I can leave 100 ..... (boys) for such guy(millionaire one). It seems too me as some non-realistic one. However, the friendship relies between all the characters was enjoyable part. Parents' worries for daughter's marriage is most realistic part of the Book.
Kiran debuted her work with this novel; to the level of today's readers, i.e., it seems more to be as the demand and supply works than the one that need to be readable one. Like Chetan Bhagat wrote for selling novels rather than writing for the likable works for his readers. But no matter what, Story binds You till the end. Its one shot novel.
I thought the end need to be more extended than the actual, but, that's fine, some endings need to be like that only.

For Me, it deserves 2.5/5.0

Beyond forever… in love was truly a story that I would remember FOREVER. I always knew that Kiran as a person had lots of potential and metal to prove her success in every work which she takes in her hand, but this piece of her work has added another feather in her cap. The book is beautifully written, with a swift flow in the story, which keeps ticking one’s imagination center of the brain. As her first piece of writing she has done all justice with the readers, in terms of detailed explanation of character and situations which doesn't let you keep the book aside. I am not a voracious reader but I completed the whole book in 4 hrs, which shows how attractive the story was. I liked emotional touch of the story, basically it’s a piece of writing which expresses the dream of every girl and when that characters fall in pain you can feel it too. To bring these expression in first book by an author is difficult and Kiran has done full justice to it. Great work done Kiran, waiting to read the next book. All the best!

Beyond Forever is the debut novel of author Kiran Joshi, and a love story at its core.

The story begins with the protagonist, Kamna, beginning her internship in one of the hospitals in Delhi. Kamna is a physiotherapist and confused if she should pursue it further. After some events, she finds herself in Mumbai doing 'MBA' where she meets the rich hunk, who looks like a Greek god, Varun Oberoi. The guy left her awestruck and so begins the much awaited love story !

What I liked?
The writing style of the author is fine, unlike other contemporary Indian Authors she does not try to make the dialogues unnecessarily humourous. The book is a fast read, you can really finish it in couple of hours. Apart from that, I liked some characters, found them close to life!

What I didn't like?
The book was clichéd, predictable to say the least. One can predict the end and it brings no surprises. Also, it sounded too perfect which rarely happens in real life.

Beyond forever, is truly an interesting read! It got me hooked from the very start; so much so that I was compelled to finish the book in a day !! I enjoyed the flow of the story, the personality traits of the characters portrayed; and the sea of emotions that the lead protagonists go through as their story unfolds! And finally the filmy ending to the love saga ;)

Kudos to you Kiran for putting together such a good read!! You must keep your creative mind occupied ;) Looking forward to your second edition!

My rating 2.5 stars!

Beyond Forever…in Love! is a light romantic fiction. The author has crafted the story well that keeps you hooked. I would say, as a first time author, it's a decent attempt by Ms. Joshi. The book cover is nice.

If you like reading easy and light fiction, this book can be a quick and interesting read for you, but it's not for those who seek literary crispness in a book.

I am a voracious reader, picked up this book randomly.
But once started reading, was mesmerized by the ease that the book puts you into. Wonderfully crafted words that flow freely and makes you feel as if you are not just reading but experiencing the emotions first hand. It captures human relations as we see them today. The book made me laugh and cry in equal measure. Definitely a book worth reading.

Kudos to the author!!!

The Book was a easy read.
The narration is good. The story is told in first person. The protagonist is a Physiotherapist who then does MBA; just like the author.
I loved the easy flow, the easy language, sort of reminded me of my Medical days.
The scenes, the characters are well-described no doubt but the book seemed to be a little low on emotions. At least for me.

Beautiful, poignant, sometimes sad, almost tragic, the story looks very real with a moving story of family, friendship, faith, and salvation. The highly emotional and intensely engaging book captivates the reader from the very first line dipping directly into the reality narrated. The emotions and feelings of the protagonists receive empathy from those raised in the reader with a sliding narrative, language and style of the author.

Amazing book, very well written, touches the core of human emotions and strengthens the belief that soul-mates do exist. The book was able to capture my attention till the last page. Once started, had to finish the book in one sitting as every page fuels a need to read more. Great start in the writing world, definitely a BEST SELLER.
