Sweet Blossom by Daisy Landish Book Review

A single Mum who loves her son and has just lost her job and feels like a failure. Praying for a settled future.

Max, who works at a hardware store and is in need of an assistant, asks Rachel to work for him. He likes her.

This book is written in dual POV's giving us a sense of how our characters really feel about each other.

Rachel is part of the Cherry Blossom Festival. When she is paired with Max she realises how comfortable she feels around him and how well they work together. It's beautiful to see their relationship blossom.

Max is kind towards Jamie, Rachel's son from the offset. Daisy has written such a Gentleman. You'll find yourselves falling in love with Max. He has a dark past which has moulded him into the caring person he is today. What I love about Daisy's characters is that she writes likeable characters with depth and real emotions. They go through life's troubles. You find yourself rooting for their happiness.

Can two broken hearts be mended when brought together?

When Jason get's sick Rachel turns to worry. She is bitter with her ex and Max shows up for her. I can really feel all of the emotions, the Fear, Anger and Sadness that she goes through in such a short space of time. In that moment when Max arrives I can feel their connection. All their emotions are driven down to a single moment where he just watches her sleep. He loves her but he fears he is making things harder for her. What an emotional scene.

Max has a dark past. Something tragic and heartbreaking happened to him. Can Rachel help him heal?

“her heart is swollen - with love and gratitude. There's a skip in her step.” a contrast to how Rachel feels when her ex shows up at the Cherry Blossom Festival! Will she go back to him? Could this be the end of her and Max. “He thinks it might kill him if she settles for this.” It's so sad.

“Waving her off like her words don't mean anything.” Jason is not good for Rachel but she is thinking of her son Jamie. Is she destined to be miserable or will she stand up for what she believes in?

It's cherry blossom time in Maplewood so let's have a festival in the town. Rachel has returned to her hometown as a single Mom, looking to start over. Max is the owner of a hardware store and offers her a job. She agrees to help with the festival then Max offers to help her. As they spend time together, feelings bloom between them. Add in the ex showing up and now you have some drama. Rachel has some great support from her friends to help her and is able to come up with the answers to making a happy life. Absolutely the best characters in this story or even in Maplewood. Another fabulous story in this series. Would recommend to all.
I received this story and leave this unbiased, honest review.

The writing is so inviting ,it really is . It’s Daisy Landish so of course it is! Rachel is in need of a new beginning ,she’s a single mum who’s feeling a little glum . She’s returned to her home town,to start over ,never expecting to find a lover but there you go ,you just never know what fate has in store Max offers her help at his hardware store and before you know it there’s amour . Sweet and all he’s offered to help with Maple Grove’s Cherry Blossom Festival and they get to know each other more. Great writing is this and although you could guess the outcome it sure is bliss especially when they share a kiss..Great writing ,so inviting and inspiring . On all cylinders this writer is firing . Daisy Landish thanks so much for this awe inspiring book .

A sweet standalone romance!

Losing her job is another blow to Rachel Green’s self-confidence and it’s already pretty low. She doesn’t want pity but she needs a job if she is going to take care of her young son since her ex-husband never helps. When Max Bennett sees the desperation on her face, he offers her a job in his hardware store without thinking. He hasn’t been interested in a relationship since his wife died but the young mother captures his attention.

This is a perfect addition to the series. Love finds its way through their pain. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

A charming sweet romance short story. Rachel, a single mom, is struggling to start over in her small hometown. Max, a widower, offers her a job in his hardware store. I liked both of these characters. The story flowed well and made me feel emotionally connected. I recommend this entertaining quick read.

Sweet Blossom: A Clean Small Town Romance (Maplewood Grove Book 8), my fifty-second enjoyable short (63-page) small town romance from author Daisy Landish that I finished in about an hour, the eighth book in the Maplewood Grove series. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.

Who is Rachel? What does she do for a living? My heart broke for Rachel from the first two pages of the story. I have understood part of the pain she is feeling. What I cannot know but can empathize with is the Jamie part. Who is Max? What solution does he offer Rachel? What happens that causes Rachel to call Jason? Who is he, and what happens when he shows up? I did not care for him at all. How does the tone change when Rachel stands up? Read and see what happens.

Can be read as a standalone but is part of an interconnected series. She's trying to make ends meet as a single mom with a deadbeat ex husband. When things go sideways an old friend steps up. What happens when her ex shows up? Why is he back? Will she find her HEA

True soul mates

A very well written sweet, clean romance. This book will definitely take you away feeling everything these characters are going through. I forgot about myself for awhile, which is very hard to do. I loved every moment of this short story. Soooo good!!!

What a beautiful story. Rachel and Max make a perfect couple. There was some work for Rachel to get through and when she did, they definitely blossomed. A great story.
