Stalked by the Recruiter

Rate this book
I was a man content with my life, until I see her.

Traveling from school to school in search of the next pro star isn’t what I thought it would be, but I’ve made peace with my life choices. I never planned on becoming a 40-year-old with a chip on his shoulder, living life on the sidelines of the game that gives his life meaning.
Then I see her.

Carmen Villalobos is unlike any librarian I have ever laid eyes on. One look, and I hardly recognize myself. So obsessed and determined, the lines of what is right and wrong start to blur. I’m changing everything from where I live and my job, all without having a real conversation with her. She turned my life upside down with one look, and I won’t stop until I can claim her as mine.

Stalked by the Recruiter is an OTT safe stalker romance with a divorced, takes-no-crap librarian and a football recruiter who is willing to do anything to claim his woman, even if it means breaking a couple of laws. HEA guaranteed.

Andres (40) and Carmen (34) were totally into each other, both obsessed and possessive, and just really head over heels crazy in love. 😂🤭

The craziest part? They also stalk each other; it's like a match made in heaven! 🙈

Honestly, if you're not a little unhinged for your partner, can you even call it true love? 🤣

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

I did not like Andreas in his sister Betty’s book (Stalked by the Wide Receiver), he was an arrogant jerk who literally put his sister in a dangerous situation just to prove a point. It took the hero Hemi telling him off for him to try and make amends to Betty. I understand he was dealt a crappy hand when he lost his shot at a NFL career because his parents died and he took over care of his young sister. But you later find out he knew he was not good enough to go pro. So his bad attitude towards Betty was ridiculous. And his cocky arrogance was very unattractive.
Andreas was redeemed in his book by one action, he backed off when he saw Carmen flinch when he raised his hand to push her hair behind her ear. He showed he was sensitive to her fear and apprehension.
Carmen is the head librarian at the university, when Andreas, a recruiter for and NFL team comes to recruit a player he sees Carmen in the quad and is instantly in love. He knows she is who he as been waiting for his whole life. He leaves his NFL job and gets a job at the school in the athletic department with the football team. He starts stalking her in the library and all over campus. He gets a house the next street over, they share a backyard fence. He even gets a friend to tap into campus security to get him feeds to the library.
Carmen notices him and even calls campus security on him because she sees him stalking her. But he eventually gets in her good graces by just spending time with her being her friend, he knows that she is divorced and her ex-husband was mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive so he thought befriending her was best for her.
It’s been weeks since she started talking to Andreas and now Carmen is frustrated, she thinks that Andreas has friend zoned her and she wants more from him. She turns the tables on him and stalks him at his office and even breaks into his house one afternoon. The temptation to snoop is to great for her and she ends up getting undressed and masturbating on his bed. When he unexpectedly comes home she hides in his closet and when he goes into the bathroom she runs out. She thinks she made a clean getaway and he will never know except, she grabbed his shirt on the bed instead of hers in her panicked state.
Andreas knows that something is different at his place, he can smell her perfume, and he finds her shirt and the wet spot on his bed where she came. He plays it cool when he goes over to her house that evening. As they talk she confesses and it’s on after that. Lots of sexy times for them, some Sir and baby girl talk too. Both like things a little dark and they easily fall into a lite Dom/sub relationship.
When she finds out the extent of his stalking she is not upset, a little hurt that he has the police reports and pictures of when she was abused by her ex. He worries that she will pull away from him when he sees her looking at all the evidence but she tells him she loves him. He confesses to loving her too.
Epilouge, he meets her parents, she meets Betty, and he proposes.

Stalked by the Recruiter de Mayra Statham Serie Obsessed Alphas libro 6

Argumento:

Otro librito cortito, sexy y dulce. Qué pasa con Crank Dominguez? Elige la carrera de medicina en lugar del futbol o… su bestia interior despertará y le cambiará los planes?

You know its bad when I can't even finish a short novella haha!

This just is a pile of no for me *shrug*. The author has the H meeting with someone from another book in the series and I have no recollection of who it is or what he does. Why not just put a two sentence summary of that person in the book to tell us who they are like other GOOD authors *side eye*. He finds the h on a school bench and then proceeds to stalk her......BUT NEVER TALKS TO HER. He never introduces himself, never asks her out, NOTHING. good gawd. wtfork......Instead, he makes sure to stalk her, quit his main job for one at the school where she works, and then gets the house next to hers.

Their first meeting was just......eww. She acts like a cunt (and shes called campus security on him before due to a abusive ex husband) and he has the worst rizz.....trying to sweet talk her but sounding like that little kid on the simpsons that had a crush on lisa simpson. I CHOO CHOO CHOOOSE YOUUUUUUU. DAFUQ. I was going to dnf there, but some of these books in this series was aite so I kept going....

she jumps over his fence and diddles herself on his bed. He comes home and sniffs the spot and i'm just like.....bruh.

and that's where i stopped. aint nothing to write home about and aint nothing new. DNF.

- H 40, h 34
- Stalking from both
- Neighbors
- Obsessed hero
- He falls first and harder

Not as bad stalking as the other books, and didn’t like this as much as the other books. Felt this could have been better considering the heroines trauma from her ex who abused her.

Safety:
- She’s divorced and her ex was assaulting her. Dated some since then, gone two years since the divorce.
- No info other than he never had anything serious, but get the feeling he used to be a little player before his parents died over 10 years ago. But not so much anymore since he’s used to working and being in a bad mood.

Carmen is the librarian

Carmen is the librarian at the local college.

Andres has just set eyes on her and knows she's his one. He makes some moves where he lands a job at the college to be near her. Thus begins a mutual stalking since he lives in the house right behind hers.

Carmen has a dark past while Andres' own past holds some dark moments, too. Read and enjoy how these two finally come together to find their HEA!

I enjoyed this read 📚!

loved this mutual stalking story

I love a stalker story where the stalker gets his back, by being stalked himself. That’s what Carmen does not realizing that Andres has been stalking her. She sneaks in his home and follows him. They are the perfect couple. I loved this story, great read, great characters and lots of steam.

Ugh, I loved the character evolution of the MMC throughout the series and the FMC stalking him back was the cherry on the top.
I just wished that the angsty stalking each other in secret - phase had been longer.

I've enjoyed this series, and one thing I liked about this one was there was a little stalking on both sides. I did feel like the heroine "healed" a little too quickly, but other than that, I enjoyed it.

Wow..

Carmen was a baddie… She had every right to never trust in love or a a man again but she got to know Andres even without him knowing it. They were so cute together. I wish the epilogue would be more into the future but it was still great
