Preorder discount set to the low, low price of $2.99!!! This omnibus contains the whole books 1, 2, and the never-before-seen book 3, finishing the series at last. Don't miss this one, O, Knights of Knightley! *** He's doing his best to save the monsters. And they're doing their worst.
Nathaniel wakes up in a fancy bed with luxurious red sheets, being doted upon by two... interesting women. Not a bad start to his day, right? Except that this isn't where he went to bed last night, and these chicks? A ghost and a vampire, both pretty spooky—and quirky—to say the least.
He comes to learn that he is the last known scion of the Van Helsing bloodline. However, his new job isn't to hunt monsters, but to save them. As he adjusts to this quest, Nathan struggles to come to grips with his surroundings and the revelation that the universe is a lot bigger and crazier than he imagined.
Also, this bratty catgirl won't let him get any work done.
I found the story to be immature and dumb. The early chapters are almost entirely exposition and non realistic character thoughts and reactions. Then. For. Some. Reason ... The author uses AA language/principles to define character relationships... And ... And. Goooossshhhh so disappointing and boring. None of the characters are believable and the main character is a jerk. Terrible book. Avoid!
Okay, the first part was funny and spicy, and the second part got gross with incestuous desire(a specific adult towards another). It was slightly repetitive to the first and breeding. Ick!! Third part finally got to the big battle, still it was just too much.
Anyone wanting to read this should try book one and proceed with caution.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I’m not a big fan of the lit RPG, but you’ve shown me the light you’ve taken me to the temple and now I am one of those devout followers hallelujah!
How HOW on earth did the voice actors read this shit with a straight face???!!! I had tears on my eyes three paragraphs in. I don't know why my audiobook provider thought this was something I'd enjoy (or endure) but man was it funny while it (I) lasted. Which was a couple of pages, to be honest.
This wasn't my favorite book. It got a little too weird with the monster sex. And a castle that can materialize into a woman to also have sex. I wish it stuck more to the Van Helsing storyline.
This one started out good, but kind of trails off. The characters are decent, but somewhat 2 dimensional. The story has potential but doesn't find it in the end.
