As long as you don't expect any prompts (beyond, perhaps, some of the quotes scattered throughout), this is a very good look at the styles of over 100 mixed media art journalers. (Journalists?) Sometimes these types of survey books don't really work for me, but this one did.

Inspiration for the art journalist. A nice mix of artists from different countries . I enjoyed reading and looking at the Art samples.

The book title says pages and prompts, but if you are looking for journal prompts, forget it. It's a book showing many artists' pages and their brief answers to a set of questions. When she asks them if they use prompts, the vast majority say no. Also if you expect any explanation of techniques, you will be almost completely disappointed. What this book does have are photos of many very good art journal pages. Each piece lists which materials were used to create it, so if you learn about the techniques elsewhere, you can figure out how to emulate what inspires you.

What’s on offer here is not so much art prompts, instead readers get a peek at actual artists journals. Very interesting as a first exposure to mixed media art.

The book consists of one art journal spread per each artist. They also very shortly talk about the inspiration for their piece, their tools and their process.
I did not find any prompts here.
