⭐️⭐️⭐️.💫/🌶️🌶️🌶️ Star rounded to 4 for Goodreads.
This novel has a plethora of paranormal and excitement for just about everyone. I loved both the shifter and vampire components. First, Callie our nurse, is an awesome and very well-rounded character. She is also quite magical herself. Which, made her very easy to appreciate.

The storyline is snag-a-hold interesting, and the author does a great job of creating quite the love triangle. The spice is….hot🥵! There are a few sentence structure and punctuation errors, but I do believe we have the making of a talented new author.
I would love to read what comes next.

Thank you to the author for allowing me this arc opportunity for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved reading Callie’s story and going on this journey with her and shadow. This book Follows Callie as the FMC and the many trials and troubles she faces. She is a witch and she had left her pack years ago to find herself and do what she wanted to do with her life, she was a nurse and made “medicinal” foods and positions for other supernaturals. Head Wolf Galen is head of the hosp she works at and he’s infatuated with Callie and wants her as his mate. But Galen isn’t the only one and soon Callie finds herself in trouble, as forest the chief of police is not the friend she thinks he is. Callie gets kidnapped and when her familiar and Galen find her, is it too late? What else is in store for Callie? Read the book and find out! This book kept me on edge, and took turns I didn’t exspect! Who is her kidnapper….?

Callie is a witch born from two shifters because her family's bloodline has witches in it. So every so many years of which is born. She works at a hospital with Brody, her vampire best friend, and Forest, a doctor who is also a witch like her. The other character you interact with a lot is Galen, who is the alpha of the pack that Callie was originally born to. A key detail is that Callie left her pack when her father tried to hand over it to her because he was the original alpha but she would not be accepted by the pack because she was not a shifter.

Callie is used in the hospital as someone to help with solving cases for the police officers as well as other regular hospital duties but with a twist because she's a witch. This story follows how there is an epidemic happening of people having these crazy freakouts and then finding out that there's a drug involved. I really like how Ramsey- Scales writes the storyline for you to be able to really enjoy how Kelly finds herself involved in this situation and what the story is leading to through details like making the world aware of the supernatural creatures existing amongst them. That detail plays a nice impact on how things are handled and the steps that people take.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing what Ramsey-Scales does with this series.

This book does have torture, mental abuse, shaming, forced sexual actions, kidnapping, drug overdose, unknown ailment, fighting, and death. Please keep all of these things in mind when adding it to your TBR.

I haven't read anything paranormal in quite some time and this was a great stepping stone back into that world! I really loved that it included different supernaturals and how they interacted with one another in the human world. I loved the idea behind Callie being a nurse at a local hospital, but that she also made medicinal foods for other supernaturals.

Personally, I was mind blown at how the author was able to explain that Callie was born to two shifter parents, but was a natural witch and how that was possible. That was an amazing plot line to follow...especially with her witchy familiar being a wolf! SO COOL and different! I really enjoyed that element. She is a strong and independent FMC and I love that she stood her ground with the decisions he made about her life.

I liked how all the lives intertwined and that the back story of each character was really important to understand them...and their character growth through the story.

This story is a bit darker than I'm used to reading with shifter romance stories, but I LOVED that about it.

I hope there are more books to come in this series!

I really enjoyed this fantasy book! Definitely check your trigger warnings, but it was really good. There was some romance, spice, heartache, all the emotions, supernaturals, and mystery. I highly recommend this if you’re okay with the trigger warnings. I cannot wait until the next book. I need to know what happens next. I had guessed part of the twist, but not all of it.

This was an interesting story following the FMC Callie and her getting drawn back into the life she was staying to leave behind. I was very frustrated with her most of the time.

Kinda leaving on a cliff hanger, i would like to see where the author takes this story.
