Well well well--

If I loved horses before there is denying that I love them more than ever! I have had a fascination with horses for a very long time but as underprivileged child, never sought out my desires. This book took me on a journey where I could experience just that.

The Riding Master was written so masterfully and beautifully descriptive without being overly detailed. The author is knowledgeable as well as having the beautiful ability to allow a reader to fall deeply for each of the main characters. I love Trent! There I said it but it's true. His persistence was captivating and Rayne's stubbornness really sets you off at times. Overall a great book!

recensione "a cura del blog Libri magnetici" by Meghan

«”Perché hai scelto proprio me?

Complimentary copy given by the author in exchange for an honest review

I have only read one other book by Alexandrea Weis, ("Cover To Covers") but she has very quickly become a favourite author of mine. Her characters always feel so lifelike, with real, honest issues, and the settings of her books are described in such a manner that you truly feel as if you are a part of her stories.

I have to start this review by telling you that even if you are not a horse lover like myself, I strongly urge you to read "The Riding Master". It has everything that I could wish for in a romance novel: some drama, some pain, and, ultimately, simply a beautiful story about a woman scarred by her past and the man who is more than willing to make her believe that he is her perfect match.

As usual, I want to focus mostly on the characters, Rayne and Trent, instead of going into too many details about the actual story line because if you, like me, really do not care for spoilers, I want to avoid making them, thus ruining the story for you.

So let me begin by introducing you to our heroine, Rayne. Just in her early thirties, she has a failed marriage to a much older man, Foster, behind her. The only thing she wanted out of her divorce was being able to keep her horse, Bob (and I love that name, by the way), and, fortunately, her ex did not refuse her. It has been a year since her divorce, but Rayne has not exactly moved on from it. Emotionally closed off, she goes to work, rides her horse in the afternoons, and she is also a riding instructor for juniors at the stables where she keeps Bob - she may not feel happiness as such, but she is content. But her quiet life is soon rocked by the new riding master, Trent Newbury.

Trent takes one look at Rayne and sets about to woo her. Undeterred by Rayne's aloofness, even her rudeness, Trent is determined to show Rayne that he is honorable and a completely different man from her ex-husband...But will Rayne be able to find it in her heart to let another man in? That is the real question here and you will just have to read the book in order to find out.

“I only want a woman who intrigues me, excites me, and makes me want her. And that woman, is you…only you, Rayne.” (Trent)

I completely fell for Rayne: at first, she seems rather insecure, but definitely not weak as some may first think when they read the book. In my opinion, she is simply shy when it comes to the opposite sex, embarrassed by her failed marriage, and seeing as that has been her only real relationship, she does not know that things can be so much better. Furthermore, her very strained relationship with her mother does not exactly help matters, and I completely understand her being afraid of forming any kind of genuine attachments.

“For Rayne, looking ahead in some ways was just as painful as looking back. Sometimes she did not know what was worse: the regret over past mistakes, or the worry over mistakes yet to come.” (Rayne)

Not many women, however young/old they might be, just jump into a relationship after having found their husband in bed with another woman. At least, I do not know of many. So I really think that her apprehension about Trent seems genuine and realistic. You know how important it is for me to truly connect with the characters in the books I read, and part of me falling for Rayne was seeing her opening up to Trent: it does not happen over-night, far from it, so experiencing her blossom under Trent's behavior towards her made my romantic heart sigh happily.

And Trent: what an amazing character he is! Here is a man unafraid of giving over his heart to the woman he wants; he is a man with no hidden agendas, no real skeletons in the closet - at least none that are too important. He is exactly who he says he is, and I find it very refreshing to see this in a book hero. As with Rayne, he just feels so real, and the fact that he knows how to treat a woman with respect earns him major points in my world. I also have to mention that his playful, naughty, and, I might add, dominant character traits most definitely made this bookaholic swoon more than once while reading the book.

“I’m not looking for a woman to make me look good. I’m looking for someone I can build a life with.” (Trent)

The banter between Rayne and Trent is so fantastic that I, on occasion, found myself reading certain scenes more than twice, actually, because I was either grinning like a goof or simply laughing so hard that tears sprung to my eyes. Aside from the fact that Miss Weis has a gift of creating a h/H that both seem realistic, she also shows real talent when giving us some wonderful secondary characters. There is Rayne's boss at the stables, Rebecca, who, despite showing a hard, cynical mask to the outside world, is a real romantic at heart; then there is Lindsey, Rayne's coworker, who, although having been happily married for several years, is addicted to romance novels and she loves to give Rayne advice on how to catch the eye of the opposite sex. (Honestly, some of the things she says...Well, they made my ears turn red!) Last, but definitely not least, let me not forget to mention Frank, Rayne's great mutt of a dog: he is adorable!

Now, to me, this truly is a story that focus on one woman's journey to finding happiness, and realising her own self-worth. But it is also a story about learning to let the past go...to stop looking behind you and start looking forward instead. It is a story about how taking risks is sometimes necessary, especially concerning matters of the heart. Because once you learn to trust in others, and to put faith in yourself? That is when you reap the greatest of rewards: love. In my opinion, love is the most important thing in the world, even though it is also the scariest.

“What would it be like to be held in the arms of a man who was passionate, experienced, and interested in only pleasing her?” (Rayne)

I could keep going on and on about how much I adore Rayne and Trent’s love story, but I will refrain from repeating myself, and finish my review by telling you that Miss Weis captured my heart and mind once again, and I am looking forward to spending many more hours of my life inside the pages of her novels in the years to come.

The Riding Master by Alexandrea Weis is a touching story of second chances and finding your true love.

Rayne Greer is a young divorcee who is determined to make it on her own. She has her horse, her dog, and her students at the stable to keep her busy. Rayne keeps herself guarded as to not be hurt again, until she meets Trent…

This man…this arrogant, confident, sure of himself, HOT as SIN man waltzes into her life at the stable. Her place to get away is now filled with this daily eye candy. Trent is instantly attracted to Rayne and holds nothing back. Rayne however is not so sure, she is skeptical about her future.

“Who’s to say if any of us ever meets the right person? Maybe it’s more about finding someone who fills a void, or fulfills a need.”

Rayne tries to make up all kinds of excuses but Trent is relentless.

“I really don’t give a da&n about our working together at this very moment.” He slid his other arm behind her. “And neither do you.”

I wanted to take Rayne and shake her!! This is a good man, who is not only se#y but he wants YOU!! Her insecurity really got to me after awhile, until we could see her walls coming down.

It helped that she had a great friend who was practically knocking some sense into her, the voice of reason, the romance novel expert (all of those Monique Delome books come in handy) to guide her in the right direction.

“Get rid of him? What on earth for? You’ve got a guy you’re crazy for who wants to be with you. Why would you want to push him away?”

This is why she shouldn’t push him away..

"She gripped the saddle in front of her with both hands fighting to stay upright. "Trent please," she begged in a ragged voice. "We're gonna do this again Rayne. But this time I'm gonna make you scream."

…now THAT was one hot encounter, wait until you read the whole thing!

It seems that Rayne was the only one that was immediately Team Trent. Rebecca, her boss at the stable had some wise words or advice for her.

“…that’s the trick with love. You can’t push it away when it’s offered; otherwise you’ll never truly know how wonderful it can be. Love is a lot like believing in something, God, Allah, whatever. You have to believe before you can find faith, just in the same way you have to believe before you can find love.”

But still she persists that this can’t happen, she seems to feel like she can’t be happy. I was ready to jump in and take her place. If she didn’t want Trent, I was gladly going to take him! He was nothing but sweet, and patient…

“Nice try, baby, but you’re not getting rid of me so easily. I’m going to pester you every day until you let me in that stone cold heart of yours. Being around all the time is one way of getting you to lower your defenses.”

….but he also had a se#y aggressive side where he just took control *whew* had to fan myself A LOT as I read!!

Was this all going to be enough for Rayne though….would she finally let herself have something that she not only really wanted deep down but something that she deserved?

"Maybe she had to start with ‘happy for now,” before she could arrive at “happily ever after.” After all, true happiness, like trust, took time to build."

You are going to love this book! And if you read Cover to Covers by Alexandrea Weis you will love the visits from some of those characters. Very entertaining!!

Rayne Masterson is has learned to keep her distance from people. After discovering he was cheating, she got a divorce from her rich, well-known and much older husband. She has an emotionally exhausting relationship with her alcoholic mother and she watches people act fake and use people for their money everyday. Now she has no desire in dating and puts all of her energy into her horse and teaching children to ride at southland Stables.

Trent Newbury is the new Riding Master at Southland Stables and he's interested in Rayne. He's determined to win her over, but he has a reputation that Rayne has a hard time trusting. She's skittish and he treats her the same as he would a horse by slowly easing her into trusting him. He pushes Rayne into performing in a jumping show and spending time with her to prepare her, but he also takes the time to call her when he can't be with her. They slowly build a relationship and Trent even pushes Rayne to mend the relationship she has with her mother.

Not everyone is happy with their budding romance though. One of the other instructors at Southland goes out of her way to make Trent's past an issue in the present. Rayne's ex-husband also realizes the mistake he made in letting Rayne get away. Can Rayne really trust Trent? Should she or is she just one more notch on his bedpost?

It's hard for me to put my feelings about this book into words. For the most part, I could relate to Rayne. She was skittish and she had every right to be. Her mom was a piece of work and did a number on her. Add in the messed up relationship with her ex-husband and I doubt that I would trust anybody either. Seeing how Trent pursued Rayne was sweet. His nightly phone calls when he was out of town were adorable. He saw the good in Rayne and fought for her even when it was tough. He awakened the passion inside of Rayne and gave her back the confidence she lost over the years. Overall, Trent was pretty amazing.

With all of that good stuff, why is this a 4 star review and not 5? Well, I had a couple issues. At one point, Rayne fully acknowledges that she is behaving irrationally with Trent and her trust issues, but she does nothing to change the situation. Yes, that was frustrating. Even bigger, though, was that I found myself questioning Trent's motives and waiting for the shoe to drop most of the story. I'm sure I will be in the minority with that thought. LOL! Trent did everything right, but something seemed off....or maybe it was that his lips were repeatedly referred to as 'thin' or 'cruel'.

Overall, I really liked this story. Watching Rayne come into her own was nice. The various OJ scenes were cute....especially when you see the differences between the ex-husband and Trent.

This is my first book by Alexandrea Weis and I was very much looking forward to reading and reviewing it after seeing the cover and reading the synopsis. It was a wonderful story and I know that I will be picking up more of her books in the future. The way she wrote her characters, whether innocent, vindictive, selfish or otherwise, they felt very real. Her characters were believable not only as people but their issues seemed genuine as well. The level of description used in telling her story had me feeling like I was smack dab in the middle of Texas

While the core of the story is wrapped around the riding stables that Rayne, the lead female character boards her horse, one need not feel concerned that the book holds narrow appeal. It is an important part of the plot, but only on part. This story holds something for everyone with a perfect balance of reluctance, tension, jealousy, angst and self-discovery.

The synopsis at the beginning of this post gives you a nice indication of what this book is about. Preferring to allow you to enjoy the where and how of the story, I won’t go into great detail about the book overall, but will share with you the things I loved, liked etc.

What happens when a trophy wife finds herself replaced? After 8 years of marriage, Rayne finds herself in just that situation. Her marriage to her much older ex has failed and left her emotionally scarred as a result. But unlike others in her position, she is resigned not to go back to that life, Rayne Greer is no gold digger.

She loses herself in her childhood love of riding with a thoroughbred named Bob, part of her divorce settlement. She spends her evenings and weekends riding Bob and teaching equestrian classes for children at the riding stables she moonlights at. Life is all very predictable until she meets the new riding master.

The things I loved most about this book were Rayne’s inexperience and reluctance. Although she had been married, it was interesting to see her reaction to situations she had not had before. Trent’s patience and decisiveness with Rayne was endearing. The fact that they shared a common interest and valued work life balance helped to propel the story. My favorite part was Rayne’s relationship with Bob. He was her sounding board, her confidante, her therapist and her friend.

Other aspects of the book I liked included some of the supporting characters. Rebecca, owner of Southland Stables, embraces her trophy wife status and fully admits that she was able to own the stables as a result of her failed marriages. Lindsey, Rayne’s day job co-worker, explains the benefits of romance novels as research for sexy time with her husband Casey. And Fred, the lovable snoring ox of a dog that greets Rayne when she arrives home each night.

While many may not even notice it, what detracted from the story for me was the product placement details and repetitive descriptions of certain items in the story.

*ARC received in return for an honest review

This is my first book by Alexandrea Weis and as a reviewer I am always excited to delve into a story of an author I have not read before so, here goes...

Rayne Masterson is our leading lady and, to be honest, I like my leading ladies sassy, sexy and not to be messed with but with Rayne you get reserved, quiet and emotionally detached! A woman who has built a protective wall around herself after discovering that her husband was having an affair behind her back. This led to Rayne turning her back on her marriage, vowing to never let a man take her heart again, rip it out and destroy it. She then throws herself feet first into her only passion which is horses, or shall I say her thoroughbred horse called Bob, who she dearly devotes all her free time to when she is not teaching riding classes to children.

This is all about to change when a new Riding Master is employed at Southland Stables. In walks Trent Newbury!!

“I’m not looking for a woman to make me look good. I’m looking for someone I can build a life with.”

I lusted, loved and wanted to lick Trent! He was simply delicious with just the right mix of arrogant & sexy, all what I look for in an Alpha male, while still being patient and gentle with the oh-so-fragile Rayne. Trent seemed to fully understand what Rayne needed to become the confident, sexy, loving woman that was hiding behind that wall she had built around her broken heart.

Trent had a past and reputation as a ladies man that Rayne had a hard time dealing with but jeez! there were times I could just scream at my kindle - she really was frustrating at times as her trust issues were just becoming way to extreme for me. Apart from all the above I loved/lusted about Trent, I adored that he was always truthful about his past to Rayne. He really laid himself bare, warts and all and, dare I say it, I was half thinking just walk away Trent what more does she want? Blood?!!

“For Rayne, looking ahead in some ways was just as painful as looking back. Sometimes she did not know what was worse: the regret over past mistakes, or the worry over mistakes yet to come.”

Alexandra has created well developed characters and a story that kept me gripped from the first page, right through to the last. Sex scenes that were descriptive, passionate and had me fanning myself! A beautiful story of betrayal, hope, second chances and, if you're brave enough to trust and give your heart to that someone, you can love and be loved again.

Trent Newberry: I think I have a crush on him. Who am I kidding? I know I do. Blame it on my Kevin Costner crush. Random, I know, but ever since I saw him riding a horse in Wyatt Earp, Open Range, Dances with Wolves (pretty much any picture with him and a horse), I’ve loved a man on a horse. It’s so sexy, so hot! And damn it, when I first met Trent Newberry, that’s how I pictured him. Somebody hot! Somebody who knew how to please and tame you, and Trent definitely lived up to my expectations. He was a man’s man who didn’t take any crap and knew how to take charge. He was very brash, very rude, very bossy, and very sexy! An expert with the ladies and the horses (hence, his position as The Riding Master). A good ol’ boy determined to have Rayne and show her that he was the man for her, and I loved every second of it.

description

Rayne Masterson: ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She frustrated the heck out of me, and clearly, she was sexually frustrated. I didn’t understand why she resisted Trent’s charm so much. She gave in then pushed him away in a matter of hours. I wanted to scream at her, "don’t let the past keep you from a great thing." And having a sucky mom and philandering ex-husband only added to her issues and kept her on the fence with Trent. Can't say I blame her though. I was super glad when she finally recognized what her real issue was, and ladies and gentlemen, that was her.

description

So about those hiccups (i.e. their exes and nemeses): I didn’t hate either one of their exes, but that darn Selene was a doozy. She was a manipulative, slick chick that needed to be checked ASAP. I hated her.

description

BTW..... I loved Bob and Frank! Best supporting cast ever!!!!!

My verdict: I liked it but wasn’t in love with it. I didn’t really enjoy any of the scenes at her full-time job. I did love Trent and enjoyed Rayne’s evolution. Overall, I give it 3.75 stars (4 stars).

Since I was a young girl, I have been fascinated by horses and the people who work with them. Like most young girls I wanted a horse, as I got older I wanted a cowboy because he had a horse. Now I think I want a riding master because he not only has a horse, but treats his woman with the same care and respect as his horse. As soon as I saw the gorgeous cover for The Riding Master, I was hooked. When I started the book, I truly could not put it down. I read the first 70% in one sitting. Rayne and Trent's story is a beautifully written and draws the reader into the story.

Rayne has been damaged: by her husband and his infidelity, by the loss of her father, and the aloofness of her mother. After divorcing Foster, she decides that she will wall off her heart to prevent further pain. She confides in her best friend, Rebecca and her horse, Bob. When Rebecca hires a gorgeous new riding master for the stable, Rayne's world is turned upside down. Trent immediately decides that Rayne is the woman for him. She feels the chemistry but fights him at every turn. Trent has a past, some minor characters enjoy rubbing Rayne's nose in the fact that he has been with many women. Selene is probably the nastiest character I have encountered in awhile. She not only meddled in Rayne's marriage, she seems set on causing trouble in her relationship with Trent.

The characters are very well developed. The reader understands why Rayne reacts the way she does. Readers know how deeply her marriage damaged her spirit. Rayne's toxic relationship with her mother further complicates her life. Trent, on the other hand, is an open book. He is more than willing to talk about his past and explain why things happened. He is very open about what and who he wants. He may have his flaws, but when he goes with Rayne to the hospital, the reader can't help put fall a little in love with him. Estelle, Rayne's mother is a mess, but hopefully she will change. She truly seems to want what is best for Rayne and champions Trent's cause with her. The writing is tight and crisp and the sex scenes are tantalizing. I cannot wait to read other works by this author. The Riding Master is one of my top reads for the year.

I give The Riding Master 4 stars. This is a story about Rayne, Rayne is the main character in this book. We start to read about the person she is today. Rayne is closed off, doesn't trust easy, and the only good relationship she has, is with her horse and her dog.

While reading this story, we discover why Rayne is the way she is, a past full of hurt. She lost both her dad and sister to a car accident, divorced due to her ex-huband's infidelity. Rayne doesn't realize she hasn't really experienced true love, she only wanted a family, was content with the way things were, and with her ex-husband not only cheated on her during the marriage but she slowly realizes that she was never really fully satisfied. If she felt overwhelmed then, can she really allow herself to open up to anyone else or allow herself to let someone in?

She meets the new riding master, Trent, he's sexy to a fault, and every time he comes around Rayne, sparks fly. The feeling is mutual, he does everything he can to bring Rayne around and claim her as his. Trent realizes that Rayne is always on edge and doesn't trust easy and will do everything to call her his. Rayne fights him at every turn, how much time can he devote to her before realizing that perhaps Rayne is to much to handle? How much fight does he have left in himself, before she realizes that he will never do anything to hurt her and let him take control of the situation? Sometimes, it takes time for one to find their way, but will it be to late? A worthy read. ~Reviewed by Shannon (Book was gifted in exchange for honest review)

Rayne Greer has been divorced for about a year. Her much older husband was cheating on her with a younger woman and although her mother thought she should just turn a blind eye, Rayne couldn’t live like that. She buried herself in work and her horse Bob. She loved riding and has gotten a part time job at Southland Stables.

Southland Stables has just hired a new Riding Master. Trent Newbury is a hunky, self-made established business owner. He loves horses and loves riding, so he works part time at different stables. Trent is a romantic at heart, but hasn’t met the right woman yet, but that’s not from lack of trying. He’s had more than his share of relationships.

The Riding Master is your typical romance. Boy meets girl, instant attraction. One is scared of being hurt, but the other is persistent. There is drama from ex’s that send people running, but there is something different in this book too. The relationship dynamic between the female character and her mother is an interesting part of the plot, a nice new aspect to this genre.

Trent is an arrogant ass. I really didn’t like him in the beginning of the book, he irritated me, but I kept reading and I’m glad I did. Trent turns out to be a good guy who just happens to know what he wants and goes after it. He takes on an almost dominant role in the book, which I happen to love. Rayne is a bit insecure but I think it is fitting of her character given her history. All in all I enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars with 4.5 hands down the pants. Oh did I forget to mention, its HOT!!!!

After her 8 year marriage ends badly, Rayne decides to live a simpler life and devote as much time as she can to her passion for horseback riding and instructing. She no longer trusts men or her judgement when it comes to men, so she decides it is best to be alone. Trent is the new riding master at the stable where she rides and teaches, and is very interested in Rayne. Rayne is very attracted to Trent, but is also scared to trust him. Especially because she feels things with him she has never felt before.

This book has a sort of classic romance novel feel to it. The plot is easy to figure out and there really aren't any surprises. The chemistry between Rayne and Trent is pretty great. I was frustrated with Rayne throughout a good portion of the book. Many of her arguments to herself and others for her reluctance to be with Trent were very repetitive and never seemed all that valid. I can't imagine anyone in real life devoting as much time, energy, and patience to trying to get someone to be with you as Trent did. I really enjoyed the horse-related aspects of the story, and the steam factor was high during the sexy parts, but overall I found the characters a little flat. I would recommend this to someone looking for a nice easy romance with a classic feel.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

I have not read any romances that take place around stables/horses (or westerns), but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked the main characters, their personalities, their strengths, and their flaws. I also really enjoyed the supporting cast, especially the friends of Rayne. I thought they added a great deal to the story in terms of depth and humor.

This might be a bit of a spoiler, so ignore this section if you don't want any clues to the plot. I did expect a bit more to play out with the ex love interests and the "villain" of the stable. I thought that more could have been done with Foster, especially. I also thought something more would have been included about Tyler Moore and his wife. I really expected there to be drama that followed on the heels of Rayne's uncomfortable feeling about her first meeting with Tyler. I am fine that nothing resulted from that, but it could have been an interesting plot point or perhaps a follow on?

Overall, I enjoyed the story and would recommend the book to others.

After being cheated on throughout her eight-year marriage, Rayne Greer is finally divorced and unable to commit to being in another relationship. Her life has been changed and now she is focused on her job and love of horses. She teaches classes at Southland Stables and spends any other time with her racetrack hose named Bob.

This all changes when Trent Newbury, the new riding Master at the stables comes with a charm that Rayne likes. Trent is confident and arrogant and I fell instantly in love with him. Trent, just like Rayne has trouble with relationships; however, as soon as he sees Rayne he knew that he would be taking special interest in her.

Trent works many hours as a consultant for an oil and gas industry. Trent is persistent to see Rayne and ends up spending a nightly call with her. Through this, Rayne and Trent start to get to know each other and open up to one another!

I instantly fell in love with this book. The characters are written beautifully, the plot is enticing and the dialogue is written to perfection! This book is an incredible read for anyone looking for something lighthearted and sweet!

A woman finding her way.
After a devastating divorce and emotionally skittish Rayne Masterson swears off men and vows to devote her life to her passion, horses.

A man with insatiable desires.
Trent Newbury is an expert rider who is arrogant, brash, and has a ruthless reputation for getting any woman he desires.

As the riding master at Southland Stables, Trent is eager to make sure all of his riders are the best they can be. But when he meets Rayne, he takes a special interest in taming the beautiful woman’s stubborn nature. Slowly and deliberately, he awakens her defenses with his charm and beguiling good looks. And just when he thinks he has won Rayne’s trust, his philandering past threatens to pull them apart.

She thought no man could ever touch her heart, until she met…. The Riding Master.

Right from the first page I was hooked, this is an awesome story of trust and finding the person that breaks down your walls. I give it a thumbs up and would recommend this book.

Author Alexandrea Weis has done it again with a fantastic tale! It’s refreshing to finally read about a heroine who takes control of her life for once, instead of being too needy! Ms. Weis has made Rayne Greer, confident, independent and strong which is one of my favorite characteristics in a heroine. I like how Rayne and the hero, Trent Newbury, interact together. Very realistic.
I won’t give away too much but I must say The Riding Master kept me intrigued from the very beginning. The writing is crisp, the characters well-developed and the plot is fresh and original, keeping the reader absorbed and hungry for more. The attention to detail the author has woven into this one of a kind story of self-discovery is obvious, the descriptions are vivid and the drama will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I give The Riding Master 5 stars and highly recommend this book if you are looking for an exciting and tantalizing story that will make you beg for more!!!!

The Riding Master had me hooked right from the start! I just loved this story! Alexandrea Weis made me fall in love all over again! A hot and sexy story at a horse ranch! Yes this is one I had to read. I am so happy that I experienced this story!
We meet Rayne and her lovely horse Bob. We meet Trent and his love for horses! We are brought to Dallas on a Horse Ranch with a very friendly and crazy fun owner named Rebecca. Oh and lets not forget the sleazy slutty Selene.
You have to meet these characters and get to know them! Experience their story, you will love it!!

This is a really great enjoyable read. Can't believe I've not read any of this authors books before. Thumbs up for blog tours.

Rayne has been through heartache. She's just divorced and she believed there will only ever be one male in her life, her horse Bob. That is until Trent enters her life. Will he manage to break down them walls and show Rayne he can be trusted. Loved this storyline. Loved the secondary characters as well. Some laugh out loud moments made this a really good read.

I could not put this down! This story had the right amount of spice to keep you invested from the very beginning. Rayne was a jaded woman who had very little experience with men. Like an untried horse, she only needed the right master to tame her. Hot, hot, hot! I read this in less than a day. Highly recommend!

👩‍🦰
La mia opinione
📘
❤️
❤️

A presto 😘

Rayne Greer, 32, is out of practice when it comes to men, not that she had much experience in that area to begin with.
She divorced her wealthy husband of eight years after she found him in bed with another woman. Since then there's been no-one and she's convinced herself that she is perfectly happy with things as they are.
Her girlfriends – actually acquaintances, because it hurts when friends die or let you down - don't agree!
Between her work as a lab technician and teaching at the stables where she boards her horse, Bob, there's no time left for a manhunt!
Lucky for her there's a new senior instructor at the stables, the annoying but exceptionally attractive Trent Newbury.
He's also a safety engineer specialising in the oil industry.
While Rayne is inexperienced when it comes to sex, Trent is up for anything, phone sex, public sex - you name it and he's good to go.
Throw in a dominant streak and a belief that horses and women are much the same – it's only a matter of time before Rayne's eyes are opened to a brand new world.
Actually, the horse comparison is not far off the mark, as Rayne is particularly skittish.
It's just a matter of time before something comes up to drive them apart (it's de rigueur in books like this one), cue misery and hand-wringing, but all will be well in the end!
Think of “The Riding Master” as a love story with a lot of sex and you won't be far wrong.
It's not really my cup of tea but it is very readable and has some genuinely emotional moments.
3.5 Stars, brought back to 3 Stars.
