When I sold to Silhouette books on my wedding anniversary in 1979 I didn't expect to get this far. I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else. I'm married living with Katie, a white mini Schnauzer who considers herself the center of our world, Hunter, a Yorkie mix who's a real mama's boy, Olivia my darling diva chihuahua, Dutch, our easy going happy go lucky terrier mix, Syd, our Panama Nape parrot, and Florence, our demented tortoise. We live in Southern California near San Diego in a town that's provided fodder for some of my stories. Once upon a time, I could say that when we moved here there were three romance writers. Now there is only me and to date I have not been considered a suspect. More romance authors have moved in and are safe and sound...so far.
A lot of my backlist books are now available for your Kindle and in print along with new novellas featuring the first witches in the Hex series along with my second love, romantic suspense books. And more books coming!
My Hex series are the books of my heart. The ones I've wanted to write for a long time and so glad to see out there. Many readers are confused by the two Demon titles and different cover looks. They're a part of the Hex series, still the disgraced witches from the Witches Academy, just with a different look. And yes, more Hex books will be coming!
There are times I think I enjoy writing the creatures more than the characters. And probably why my Fluff and Puff bunny slippers tend to never be where I left them! That's more than easy to do since they're tattooed on one ankle and Horace is tattooed on the other.
I'm very thankful for my readers for sticking to me.
There were moments I enjoyed the book & then I got annoyed with the heroine and the hero.
These two have been dating for eighteen months, stealing time between the hero's numerous travels for the heroine's fathers export/import company, but she wants something more than stolen days, she is 30 has a successful career and maybe wants commitment and despite the fact that she loves the hero isn't sure he is the man to give her that. So, when he tells her he is leaving again in the morning fed up, she tells him it is over while he tells her it isn't and that they will talk once he is back.
The hero is actually a government agent and so is the heroine's father. The hero sends her flowers when he is gone and she pretends to ignore them and when he is about to come back she goes with a friend to a remote cabin and is kidnapped by two crazy men.
The hero rides to the rescue. Now, when the heroine is in danger she thinks that she will tell the hero she loves him and will do anything to make it work between them but when she sees him again she acts in a childish manner, taking off despite the men after them. She is like a pendulum loving him one moment and then drawing away.
The hero loves his job, it's been the only constant in his life since he was abandoned by his parents and grandparents to the system. He loves the heroine and doesn't want to lose her but doesn't know how to voice his feelings.
Ultimately his job is something that the heroine has a tough time understanding because of the secrecy and after a dose from her friend she stops acting like a see-saw and decides to take a chance.
Average, when it could have been so much better if not for the heroine's mood-swings.
keypti þessa á kílómarkaði rauða krossins svo gott find. ætlaði að lesa hana fyrir bókaklúbb en náði ekki að klára alla, var svo nánast rúmföst í gær útaf bakverkjum og kláraði bara. ekkert frábær en mjög fyndin og ekkert of mikil kvenfyrirlitning eða óþægileg viðhorf í henni. myndi ekki segja að þetta sé must read en sé samt ekki beint eftir að hafa eytt tíma í að lesa hana.
