Colt Stillman was a small town sheriff of Peace, Texas when he was wrongfully convicted of murder. After twenty years in prison, he returns to Peace for his pound of flesh. Driven by pure rage, he teams up with his brother and a gang of thugs.
Together, they wreak havoc on the town of Peace unlike anything seen before. No one in the town is safe. For one night, it’s every man, woman and child for themselves as townspeople are subjected to some of the worst atrocities imaginable in the middle of the streets. Some discover horrors no one has thought of yet. Who will survive this Night of Vengeance?

Imagine a pornographic movie director in the 70s made a poor imitation of a Roger Forman exploitation film. Then, imagine a writer, who is mediocre at best, turning that movie into a novel. Night of Vengeance is that novel. The story is unbelievable. The characters are generic. Night of Vengeance is scene after scene of graphic violence and rape. The novel exists so that the author has an excuse to describe pointless acts of violence. I suppose the material could have been disturbing if better written. I wouldn't recommend this novel to anybody.
A misogynist's dream. The grindhouse vibe can work well under the right circumstances. Here it does not. Cardboard cutout characters and needless amounts of rape and violence abound. I finished it but only because it took less than a couple of hours to blitz.
I love reading horror, mystery, suspense, and thriller stories. I have never seen the movie The Purge, but was told that the movie was kind of similar to this but seemed very tame. This book is anything but tame. You've got good guys turned bad, bad guys turned even badder and fed up victims taking a stand. It is a horrific tale of what can happen when you tick off the wrong person and he's got time to plot his revenge. It is also about how sometimes people can get caught up in the chaos and rebellion around them if given the right fuel. Very awesome.
Melissa was a naïve little girl hoping to enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner with her boyfriend Chad. Insert violence, chaos, rape rampages and some old fashioned vengeance! Totally action packed with super twists and an epic ending! Highly recommended to all Fans of Modern Horror!
The purge meets revenge. Another solid story by Mr miller. It was a different kind of revenge yet it made the victims into heroes. Great story of survival needs to keep running with some of those characters.
