Being hunted isn’t the only thing I’m running from . . .
Ever since I was little, Griffin O’Neal has been my comfort. When two male werewolves attack me one night, I seek Griff out. Problem is, I have a boyfriend now and should have called him.
I try to shake off the attack and go back to normal, but the two males strike again. When a female from Midnight Pack goes missing, we’re forced to face the truth.
Werewolves are hunting us.
But that isn’t the only truth I must face. As Griff continues to be there for me, I struggle to keep my distance. I ended things between us a year ago for a reason, but my body—and my wolf—don’t seem to care.
MIDNIGHT HUNT is Griff and Vi's story, a standalone werewolf romance. For fans of wolf shifters, childhood friends to lovers, brother's best friend, and second chance romance. Guaranteed HEA.

Wow, wow wow wow if i didn’t love this series as much as I did (also if you know me wolves of midnight is one of my favourite series of all time) this book was just perfection. Griff and vi’s story was amazing I absolutely loved them in the first three books but I absolutely fell in love with them in this one. Without giving too much away this world building, the love, the banter, the tension, the spice everything was just oh love it.
If you haven’t read this series go read it now!!!!
Like all Becky Moynihan books Midnight Hunt did not disappoint. We revisit the midnight pack and watch Griff and Violets story unfold. This book was fast paced and kept my interest from the first word to the last. I devoured the book in one day and am now on to my second reading! If you hadn’t surmised I loved this book!! Now waiting for BM to finish the series with Brielle and Jaggers story.
becky has done it again!!!! griff & vi’s romance had me so invested—their tension was already amazing, but even more so once you pair it with their tropes of childhood friends to lovers, brother’s best friend and mutual pining 😩🤍 and y’all, the way griff loves her unconditionally had me melting to the floor!!!
i loved being back with these characters but even more so because i finally got to read griff and violet’s love story (that the previous three books in the wom series alluded to). and omg the world, the werewolf community dynamics, and the plot had me so addicted that i read it in one sitting.
though this is a standalone, i highly recommend reading the first three books in the series first! & bonus points because they’re all on ku <3
read, if you love: 💜 werewolf romance 💜 childhood friends to lovers 💜 brother’s best friend 💜 mutual pining 💜 major banter
I’m not really a friends to lovers trope fan but I have been pinning for Griff’s and Vi’s story ever since I finished Nora and Kolton’s story. And yet again Becky has written another amazing story that is unforgettable! I felt like this story was more emotional and realistic, bringing in raw feelings between both characters but also showing that as long as they stick together they will get through anything.
I couldn’t stop smirking at Griff’s teasing remarks especially when they are in a serious situation, and it sounded like Vi wanted to strangle Griff half of the time 🤣. Both Sable and Whiskey moments and remarks were hilarious to read. They were always being bad influences to Griff and Vi no matter if they were trying to help or not…and they were always obsessed with each other.
Liv’s character development in this story was beautifully written and gave me an insight on Vi’s deeper thoughts from her past trauma and how it was effecting her future with Griff. However seeing Griff’s protective possessive male side come out was swoon worthy. He was trying to prove himself to Vi that he could care and protect her and that he wouldn’t hurt her in anyway. His protectiveness was an interesting character development from his normal laid back golden retriever side and reminded me a lot of how Kolton reacted with Nora at beginning.
I loved seeing the lives of the other characters such as Nora and Kolton, it was lovely seeing their little family grow and watching the pack grow stronger. I’m super excited to see Jagger and Brielle’s story unfold in the next book! ❤️ x
Heck yes! I’ve been waiting for Vi and Griff’s story since reading the first three Wolves of Midnight books and this was exactly the kind of story I was hoping for! These two finally get their HEA and I am here for it! 🙌
(Ok, now I have a lot of different thoughts on this book so please bear with me! 😉)
So, when I first started this book and Violet is dating Reid, I kind of had some mixed feelings about it. Of course I wanted Violet and Griff to be end game, since we already knew they had so much history and chemistry, but I’ve also low-key wanted Reid’s story since meeting him wayyy back in Shadow Touched! Even though we don’t know a whole lot about him, I’ve always thought Reid was one of the good ones and I didn’t want that to: a) not be true, and b) I also didn’t want to see him get hurt. Although things clearly don’t work out for him and Violet in this book, I’m so happy that she didn’t do him too dirty haha.
Griff and Violet just make so much sense together! Seeing Griff go all protective alpha wolf over Vi was swoon-worthy! But I also love how Vi is an alpha female all on her own, and while she knows she always has Griff to rely on when she needs him, I love that she can also take care of herself! I was honestly pretty frustrated with Violet though for being so stubborn at first and taking so long to give Griffin the chance he deserved, but she’s been burned before and I can understand how that can mess with a person. I’m just glad she eventually got it together! lol
Now, the storyline about being hunted - this kept me on my toes the whole way through! Never knowing if or when the male werewolves would try to strike again, and eventually finding out the reason behind the attacks - wow. I loved the suspense of it all!
This was a really great standalone within the series and I would definitely recommend it! I do think the story would be most enjoyable after reading the first three Wolves of Midnight books, but it’s not completely necessary. (You just get a bit more information regarding Violet’s past and why she’s so reluctant to commit to Griff.) I loved everything about this book and I’m super excited for Jagger and Brielle’s story next!
Oh my, this book is so good. Just like the previous books in this series, I knew I’d be turning the pages and sacrificing whatever else needed to be done that day(s) until I reached the very last page…and I wasn’t wrong. Hahaha. Becky’s storytelling has a way of pulling you in from the very first page. She is such an amazing writer.
Midnight Hunt is book four in the Wolves of Midnight series and tells Violet and Griffin’s story. And though this book could be read as a standalone, it’s so much better if you read the three books before it for the backstory, as the Rivers and their friends are a pack, and their stories and shared experiences are interwoven.
Violet and Griffin are a perfect match for each other and the love between them is tangible, even when they try to deny it or rationalize it away. Violet hasn’t had it easy in the love department or the self-worth department, which made the love between them so much more potent once realized. Of course it took some harrowing experiences together with several twists and turns, a kidnapping by some deplorable, villainous rogues, some self-reflection, and a declaration that ultimately couldn’t be refuted to open her eyes and heart to said realization, but open they did. And Griff? He is the ultimate book boyfriend, always so gentle and patient with her, never pushing and allowing her to work through her issues until she was able to see what’s been right in front of her the whole time. Truly, the HEA in this book was perfect for them and the twists and turns to get there—absolutely page turning.
I can’t wait for book 5 in what is definitely one of my favorite series. Well done, Becky. Well, done.
I absolutely loved every second of this book! I'm so glad I was able to Beta read for Becky once again, because I did not want to wait another moment to get my grubby little fingers on this book! Griff and Vi did not disappoint at all. Their story was comforting and emotional and steamy and cathartic, and I cannot wait for the next standalone book in this series! This was once again a well contained story on its own, while adding to the overall story and world that we came to know in the earlier books in the series and in the other interconnected series. Our big bads were big and bad, and we were reconnected with old characters that we loved from long ago. We got to see more of Kol and Nora and their cute little babies and their fierce love for each other, and we get to see Jag and Bri as well and get hints about their future. But we also got to see Reid from many moons ago, and while I didn't love him for Vi, I still love his character so much! 10/10 recommend!
I've been anxiously anticipating this book since Becky first announced it, and boy did it live up to the rest! Both Vi and Griff were introduced in the other 3 books from the Wolves of Midnight Series, and I am so happy to have been able to read their story!
While there is a whole lot of action/violence that involves kidnapping and assault (not the MCs not i don't want to spoil anything!), the familial bond throughout is unmatched. I LOVE seeing more of Nora, Kolton, Brielle and Jagger. Even little Melanie makes me smile! And knowing how great their mom is doing (this comes out in Book 2 and 3) made my heart happy!
The love between these two childhood friends is unmatched, especially from Griff who loves Vi HARD y'all. Through everything, Griff has never stopped loving and wanting her, even when she's tried to push him away. When she finally accepts that she's loved, and deserved, him - fireworks!!
While this is a standalone, I HIGHLY recommend reading the previously published books (Start with Midnight Vow) to really know the characters and timeline.
Absolutely beautiful story, Becky! Your writing never ceases to amaze me, and I can't wait for the next and final book!
Tropes I loved within these pages: ✨️ Childhood friends to lovers ✨️ Banter galore ✨️ Werewolf shifters ✨️ Golden Retriever af MMC ✨️ Spicyyyy ✨️ Brother's Best Friend (but not the hiding type - he supports it!)
Holy WOW!! 🤯 I’m going to need 3 business days to recover from this book! But I’m also going to need the next book STAT!! 😂
I LOVE the world that Becky has created between Touch of A Vampire and Wolves of Midnight! 🫶🏻🥰 I will literally SOB when she decides that the universe is complete. 😭 Like, ugly sob.
I’ve been excited for Griff’s love story literally since book one of this series. I am a girlie that LOVES the comedic relief of the group. It’s my kryptonite. Which means I’ve been obsessed with Griff for three books now. 😅🫠 And he didn’t disappoint. 🥵 Not that I ever doubted he would!!
The real surprise to me here was Violet! I loved getting more of a peak inside her head! 💜 Her character growth and determination towards the end of this book literally had me fist pumping the air! ✊🏻 I was rooting for her SO hard!!!
Also, their love story?! Childhood friends to lovers? 🥹 Puh-leaseeeee!!! 🫠 How can you knot 😉 be rooting for that?! Heartless. You’d have to be heartless. 🤷🏻♀️
OMG I love this book so much. I want a Griff for my me!!! The story grabs you from the first moment. We get to know aspects of Vi and Griff that make us love these characters even more. Vi has endless emotions that make her real and you have fun with them. Griff is sexy, charismatic. worried who doesn't want to fall in love with someone like that. I love rereading a bit of Nora and Kolton and what's been happening with their family. I hated the enemies in this book and I'm glad the ending they got. There's also Reid, I think a story about him or a mini story would be great. Vi and Griff's wolves made me laugh so much. I loved this book and I can't wait to read the last one in this great series!!!!
I started reading Becky’s books back in early December and I’m absolutely obsessed with these books! I have re read her books over and over and I’ll continue to! I’m so glad we got to see Vi and Griffs story been wanting them to be together for so long I love the teasing they give each other. The ending of this book just had me screaming ahhhh I couldn’t believe it! I don’t wanna give any spoilers but every chapter had me like oh my what’s gonna happen and she does amazing with the bad guy characters making them what they need to be! I’m so excited there will be a 5th book to the series I can’t wait! 💜
Angels this book was fantastic. And personally I’ve been so excited for Griffs book since book one. I loved the whole friends to lovers thing between Vi and Griff.
When it comes to writing amazing books Becky never disappoints (From A Touch Of Vampire to Wolves Of Midnight, to The Elite Trials and The Genesis Crystal Saga). Nora (My Birthday Twin) is still my favorite of this series ( Specifically Wolves Of Midnight. McKenna is still my favorite in ATOV) in particular but I definitely fell in love with Vi aswell. I feel like if I met Vi we’d be great friends and I loved that vibe.
Anywho angels this book is yet again a 10/10 must read.
Wow!! Couldn’t put my kindle down! 😍 If you love childhood friends to lovers, the buildup of swoon worthy spice, and a dominating male that’s extremely protective. This one is for YOU! There is so much fun humor that it has a high probability of you giggling while kicking your feet. The action kept the book moving at such a great pace.
Without giving away spoilers: Violet is such a strong FMC. She’s tough, fierce, and very strong willed. Griff was so amazing at breaking down her walls while still giving her that space to be all the things that she knows she is deep down. 10/10!
100%. Total. FIRE! I have been waiting for this story to unfold since their first flirtatious interaction in this series. Vi and Griff are such dynamic characters and Becky brings them to life so beautifully. Getting to know them even better in this book and watching their love story unfold made my heart soar! From the romance, to the steamy bits, and all the way to the gripping drama, this book was FANTASTIC! I'm already looking forward to the next (and final 😭😭) book in this series!
The spice heat level in this book was off the charts. The action was awesome too. I am so happy how this story ended. I love Griff & Vi and so glad to have read their story.
I am sad to see it end there but looking forward to our next couple’s story! I can’t wait!!! Highly recommend this!
I’ll have to be honest and admit that I have never read any other books by this author but thought I’d give something different a try.
I think it was a little much for me. I’m not against some fantasy involving werewolves, but the spicy parts mentioning them being in heat and such just wasn’t my cup of tea.
The action parts of the book and the storyline wasn’t bad! I enjoyed watching Vi and Griff navigate their trials. I think if you enjoy this genre then you’ll like this.
**I received an ARC of this book. Thanks for including me!
I started reading Becky’s books a few months ago and fell in love with every single character. Vi and griff are definitely my favorite in the series and I absolutely loved their story!💜 I was unable to put the book down! 10/10!
Gah! This book!! I loved it from start to finish! I’m amazed at how sucked in I get with Becky’s books. I am obsessed!!! This is a new favorite world of mine!!
Becky knows how to turn on the tension and the romance with the perfect amount of spice and who doesn't love a good friends to lovers story , always a pleasure to read!
We FINALLY got Violet and Griff's story (and them to relieve some of that tension between them)!
I've always loved Griff from the very beginning, and I've liked Violet more the more I've learned about her through the series. The two are childhood best friends and grew up practically as siblings, but they've always felt more for each other. Not that they would admit that to the other person, or anyone else for the most part. The tension between them grows through each book. The little moments they have grow throughout the book, until one of them can't take it and owns up to how they actually feel. Despite everyone else being able to see how they felt about each other, the two of them were fairly blind to it.
Of course, nothing would be complete without a bit of an issue -- hybrid females being kidnapped in this case. When Violet becomes a target for them, the family works together (as usual) to keep her safe and continues trying to figure out who is taking the hybrids and why. Obviously, this book has quite a bit of romantic moments (and teasers), but it has quite a bit of action, especially at the end!
The ending also hints at the tension between Brielle and Jagger, who we get to read about in the next book.
The prologue starts us with Griff and a time jump backward. His interactions with Vi certify his infatuation, but their rock-solid friendship has benefits sometimes. She does have him firmly in the friend zone as he is her older brother's best friend.
We begin again with Violet's pov and the man I have been pinning for this relationship since the start of the series. Violet is currently dating Reid, an all-American football star. He is also a werewolf. Oh, but even when dating someone else, Griff is the first person she calls when in trouble.
I love Griff’s caring nature and Vi's stubborn, sassy streak. Vi has commitment issues for as strong and self-resilient as she is she can’t seem to commit to just one thing even when the true love we all want is staring her in the face.
Omg, I love that he falls first and is a total cinnamon roll. The angst is hot and steamy, and I just want them to accept each other already. Their encounters are hot enough to burn up your Kindle and if that isn’t enough the author brings in knotting too. Possessive alpha males and sizzling hot scenes this story has it all.
I love that this relationship has more than just forbidden brother's best friend but wiggles into the fated mate's trope as well. I love that it isn’t insta-love, it is angsty and emotional. Oh, the author is being twisted with this right at the end.
I love the ending of this story Vi and Griff are amazing and the overall story was wonderful.
Great!! Another amazing chapter for the Wolves Of Midnight Series. After dealing with the flu for the past couple days this book was exactly what I needed.
The love story and the characters are as gripping as ever. The Main Characters, The Side Characters.. all of them are so beautifully written your pulled into the family and are completely engaged with them in every way.
Another perfect example for the series. I couldn’t stop reading it and finished it too soon. The level of detail, the depth of the passion between the two MCs was incredible. A Must Read for Sure.
Becky writes so beautifully and her stories grab me from the first page to beyond. When these stories end they will always have place within my heart. Love the Midnight Pack.
Can’t wait to see and read the final book in the series..
Midnight hunt is a werewolf romance. We follow our main characters as they fight their attraction for each other, and also an unknown enemy. This is a spicy a fair amount of spice in it and also other things that I will not mention because it we’ll spoil it. There are some heavier subject matter in this so keep that in mind when reading this book. That includes some domestic violence type on page. I enjoyed reading this book and meeting. The characters kept me entertained throughout the whole story. This may be the fourth book in the series, but can be read as a standalone just be warned that there are some things that you won’t know what happened without reading the first three books, but you can pick this one up from here and have enough information for it to make enough sense to not be too confusing.
I absolutely loved this book… I couldn’t put it down!! I think the author did a great job telling Violet and Griff’s story. I’m a huge fan of the Wolves of Midnight series (it’s one of my most favorite series!) and book 4 did not disappoint! Violet’s sassy and clever personality is fun to read, but I also loved how her past trauma was addressed and worked through in this book. I think some of us can relate when it comes to caring for others, but not feeling like we deserve all the happiness, too. I’m so glad there was a HEA and of course there were some unexpected twists that made you keep turning that page. Now I’m curious if there will be a Book 5… if so, I am soooo there for it!
HOLY WOW, Becky did it again! Midnight Hunt is absolutely insane in the best way possible. Vi and Griffin? PURE PERFECTION. This friends-to-lovers thing between them? A slow-burn, nerve-wracking, utterly addictive masterpiece. I wanted to scream at them and hug them at the same time – that’s how good it was. The chemistry? Uff. The tension? Next level. Becky just knows how to throw us into an emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every second of it. No spoilers, but you NEED this book. Like, right now. Becky, thanks for destroying us once again – in the best way possible!
