Personal Reaction: This book is very simple. Perfect for kids in PreK. The words are big and simple and there is a lot of repetition.

Purpose:
Read aloud- this book is good for a read aloud to kids learning to read. The more they hear words the more they will be able to read on their own. The illustrations are important for the story line also. When reading out loud to a child, it is easier for them to look at all the pictures and get the story in that way.

Independent read- Beginners wouldn't be reading by themselves yet.

A great little picture book for ages 0-3 to listen to with the wonderful wording and the awesome illustrations.

This is a cute little book that you could read to a group of pre-k students. It has really colorful and funny pictures that I think they would like. You could read it for a spring book.
