In this beautiful collection of both poetry and short stories, you will be regaled with tales of dragons in various historical settings from the 1700s to our current time and even into the future of science fiction renown. You will meet dragons both great and small. Tears will be shed and laughter shared. But magic will also always be wielded.
Featuring the famous dragon author, Maria Grace, and many other authors both established and new to the fantasy world of writing, Dragon Dreams holds a story for anyone who loves dragons.
Draco Amethystus is a published SFF author and mythopoet. He has a deep and abiding love for reading and writing books. A self-proclaimed aficionado of dragons, he moonlights as a semi-professional dragonologist. Because of this dracophilia, dragons almost always feature in his writing along with Fae, vampires, and other mythical creatures. A bibliovert and catrovert, he prefers the company of fictional characters and cats to people.
When he isn’t writing or reading, Draco travels as much as he can, mostly in forests or on/in the water…hiking, kayaking, and diving across the world. A polyglot, he loves to learn languages and collects university degrees mostly just for the fun of it.
A terrific collection of stories, headlined by the incomparable Maria Grace. Lots of bright new talents. A testament to the dreams of dragons embedded in the human psyche.
Production values are low, and some stories could do with diligent proofreading.
This anthology is uneven at times but has a few really great stories. "Percival and the Grail", "Dragon Brother" and "Rain Reprieve Dance" are my favorites, and they, alone, are worth the price of admission. In fact, I would dearly love to read more of these characters and worlds.
