The F-Rank Foot Soldier Became An S-Rank Monster Rancher #2

The F-Rank Foot Soldier Became An S-Rank Monster Rancher Volume 2: Days of the New King

Rate this book
Strange people are about to plummet into Riven Wrangleman's, monster-filled, so far peaceful life.F-Rank foot soldier Riven Wrangleman found people stuck in pods. And now, those people are dangling above his head.

A mouse woman, a bat woman, and three anthropomorphic camel people, these five Demons bring with them incredible new glimpses into the state of the world for those lost on the island, namely Riven, Lucerein, and Enkriah.

The new information is all well and good, but it doesn't change Riven's goals. He's still being slowly poisoned by the island, and his camp could still use some improvements. No amount of world-shaking revelations will alter that.

The new visitors are a welcome change-of-pace, for sure, but it doesn't change the everyday life of Riven the Monster Rancher...

Except Enkriah is intent on making it known that Riven is King of the Monsters, and with that comes friction.

A former foot soldier, a former demon lord, an undead elf, a sacred priestess, and her loyal guardians... Surely, they can all get along under the banner of the newly declared King.

The F-Rank Foot Soldier Became An S-Rank Monster Rancher is a light-hearted story of new beginnings and new potentials. Follow Riven as he makes the best of his forced retirement, tames monsters, finds friends, and uncovers the mysteries surrounding the world. This series

Great book, terrible ending

I hate you so much for doing that to enkriah, author. Every single one of the crew deserves death and luce is despicable and it disgusts me she got together again with riven afterwards. She caused the entire thing. If u don't resolve and save enkriah by the end of this series I will 0 star the entire work. Which would be a HUGE SHAME because the rest of everything so far has been AMAZING. dont u efing let me down sir.

I've never left a review on a book before but this ending was so ass that I just have to rant about it.
Enkriah deserves better. None of the characters care about her at all... Riven spun a tall tale about caring for her and all that but forgot about her when the pod people came along. Then when they sealed her there was zero emotional impact to it, like it was just a minor inconvenience after which this dude jumps straight into bed with the hateful tsundere without the dere corpse who has no redeeming qualities but still somehow became the main romantic interest at some point and all was somehow good after that???? like what????? I hate this so much the first book was great but the ending of this one ruined the whole thing.

Looking to the future

To answer the author, I have 2 favorite characters. Slimer and Webmillion. Slimer because he is fearless and just does what needs to be done. Webmillion because she had an impossible dream that she reached for. Just because it was impossible did not make her stop reaching for that dream,
This was a good book. I enjoyed the mysteries that were there and introduced. There are still many things I am wondering about. I am looking forward to the next book because I want to see where it goes. Things introduced in the epilogue are making me think. I like that in a book. Now, I just need to wait for the next one.

Not a review but a note to the author

Funny thing is is I like the 1st cover better and had it my "to read when able" for months only to finally have the opportunity a day before the cover was changed

As far as my favorite character is conserened it's the holy priestess and I hope to see a true romance bloom between her and Riven

Outside of that I have enjoyed the story but as is my norm I will reserve my judgment and subsequent review until at least after reading volume 5 to be fair

What a stupid end

I cannot leave a review without major spoilers. So just know the potential this story had or didn’t have now looking back on it is just disappointing. I can’t imagine where the author was going with this chain of events and the MC…nope. No spoilers. Form your own opinion. As for me I’m just disappointed and saddened. I will not be recommending or continuing this series.

Good Read

I don't know why but I really enjoyed reading this book. I usually like books with a lot more action. But the MC is an enjoyable character despite all the tragedy in his life. The monsters he gathers around him are interesting. The scenery is well but not overly described. As are the fight scenes. I'm actually looking forward to the next book

Love it!

I really enjoy reading this series. I eagerly await the next books release and enjoy imagining this world. It's a fun and interesting story with heartbreak and love. The relationships are complex and real in their portrayals. I hope this series continues for a good while! This author is one of my favorites!
