Her friend told her dreams come true at Eden, but this is more like a nightmare.
Marissa is shaken when her bad-assed biker ex-boyfriend begins to stalk her. The solution? Take a trip far away to an exclusive resort called Eden with her friend.
But even in paradise, she can't escape the man from her past. As he's closing in on her, a passing stranger on a motorcycle pulls up and orders her to get on his bike. For some reason she trusts him, and does as he says.
Now the chase is on. Her knight in supple leather knows how to ride and they manage to lose her ex. For now. But soon, Marissa wonders if she's jumped from the frying pan into the fire as she clings to the tough, tattooed man who saved her. All she knows for sure is — it's going to be one Wild Ride!
I received a free e-copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoy reading books about bikers / MC... but I like realistic stories...or close to reality.I don't want to be understood the wrong way , Wilde Ride is ok but not what I was expecting. It is more of a sexy fantasy /fetish thingy not an actual story with a plot and everything. So I was looking for something else. I'm torn between rating it 2 or 3 stars...so it will be somewhere in the middle : 2.5 stars.
Once again Carew has created a hot and exciting read about discovering one’s true self and what you really want. She brings a highly sexual story to life in a vivid way that kept me engaged throughout. Not only that, but there was so much more to the story than just sex. It was a heady and enjoyable mix.
Carew’s realistic characters really draw you into their hot and steamy story. No one’s quite who they seem, yet they’re also exactly who they try to be. Not only are the characters unforgettable, but their relationships with one another really make the story. I appreciated the attention to detail with respect to their development. The little things are just as important as the big ones.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. Carew combines bikers, life, and hot sex in a manner that’s hard to put down. It’s definitely a story well worth reading.
*** WARNING: may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk! ***
Marissa is scared of bikers because of her ex and she climbs on the back of a bike with some strange biker just because she's running from said ex? Really?! Apparently someone gave this girl a great big dose of Too Stupid To Live pills instead of the Self Preservation pills she really needs. Not only does she go off with Killer but she lets him get away with treating her like garbage and a skank throughout the book. Then she agrees to marry Killer (that's the only name you know him by throughout the story) right before he shares her with three other bikers. Really??!!
Other than that I did enjoy the story, which was a quick read. I liked getting another peek at Rip & Raven because I just loved their story - Hot Ride. Although, I was surprised with Raven being cool about Rip banging his ex Marissa right in front of her. I guess Raven is really secure in Rip's love for her.
Bummer alert: There's no Steele in this one. He's only mentioned in the beginning. Sadness!
I will definitely read the next books in the Ready to Ride series (which I already have) Riding Steele & Hard Ride because I just can't get enough of hot badass bikers! :)

This was my first Invitation to Eden book. I always love a good biker book, love the twist with this one.
Marissa fears for her life, her ex, Rip, is involved in a biker gang. She knows that an ex of one of the other members was killed, she fears that is how her life will end. When she gets a message on her cell she knows Rip shouldn't have that number. She thinks she is being stalked by Rip, there is no way that is coincidence that she sees him standing outside her apartment building. The invitation to Eden comes at the perfect time, until she realizes it's a bikers weekend. When she accepts the help from Killer, a stranger and a biker, she doesn't know which is the worse of two evils, staying and confronting what may be the end of her life or flee. Was her choice the best one?
In the beginning I attached to Rip immediately. Loved his character. Killer grew on me eventually. This was a quick erotic read. The last chapters are sizzling hot! Well worth the read just for those scenes.

First off I have rated this book 3.5 stars :)
Marissa is running from her ex and runs straight into the arms of a mysterious biker named Killer. Throughout this book I was worried for Marissa's sense of self preservation, I mean she is running from one biker and jumps on the back of another biker who she does not know bike and agrees to do anything he tells her :/ the woman has issues I think! I thought the book was well written, however I would have liked a little more infio/ background on Killer (like his real name) Unfortunately I have a big issue with a particular part of this book. The orgy scene ( no I have no issue with the orgy) gangbang away my friends but lets keep it safe. There was no use of condoms throughout the sex scenes . Normally this does not bother me, however for one all these people are basically strangers and for two it's just a little gross, I would hate to have been the last dude to have sex :/ This was my only issue with the book. As a quick read I enjoyed it. :)

This novella is one in a series written by some of the best known authors of the genre. The invitation to Eden is just for a week, so the stories are speedy and intense. Do look out for the others.
This story revolves mostly around confusion and issues of trust. It ends up with some very hot scenes, but even those make one recognise the importance of trust in unexpected opportunities. The lack of time means one has to suspend belief and go with the flow - and in such a short story it is possible. After all Eden is supposed to be imbued with magic, and Melissa gets to experience just how powerful it can be!
Thanks for a free book to read and review for Wicked Reads...I enjoyed reading this short novella about Marissa and ....Killer? Lol, never did find out his real name. This series is written by different authors and are all about Eden... An invitation to the island Eden can bring you together with the person of your dreams. I enjoyed the erotic writing of Opal Carew, and overall entertainment was four stars. I usually add shelves for this kind of book, and uniquely I didn't have a shelf for this one. I'm labeling this one orgy! Group sex at the end, so kind of a free for all.
Marissa is on the run and hiding from Rip. She gets an invitation to Eden and she thinks it is a perfect place to hide or is it. Killer comes to her rescue and his domineering ways soon has the passion escalating. What is the secret he is hiding? Is Marissa in love with Rip? Can Killer trust his feelings? One can only find all these answers on Eden. This book had it's OMG, are you serious and that is Griffin hot moments. Opal Carew always keeps you on your toes.

Wild Ride was exactly that. As expected, an Invitation to Eden is never quite what the invitee expects. When Marissa receives an unexpected invitation she thinks that maybe her prayers have been answered because the private island is the perfect place to hide from her biker ex-boyfriend who is trying to insert himself back into her life. By the time she learns that her safe haven might not be so safe after all, it’s too late to turn back so she endeavors to enjoy her time on Eden, convincing herself that there is no way that Rip would be on the island. Of course the island gives you what you need, and Marissa soon finds herself face-to-face with her terrifying ex and in her haste to escape, she jumps on the back of Killer’s bike.
Killer. Now that's a name that is sure to cause feelings of safety and security to invade your head and heart. Not even a little bit. Yet for some reason (lust), Marissa finds herself trusting him and places herself in his care. This is the point at which I seriously questioned her sanity. Considering her reaction to Rip, the last thing she should do is hop on the bike of someone she doesn’t know – he could be riding with Rip for all she knows and she just delivered herself to him. But trust is not always something that is rational and he made her feel safe, so she went with it and boy did she ever go with it. Once Killer gets her to safety he can no longer pretend that she doesn’t affect him. And as he proceeds to put her through the paces of submission, he realizes how much he underestimated the effect she has on him.
As expected on Eden, the sex scenes are hot and they are plentiful. The sex between Killer and Marissa was HOT! During conversations earlier in the book between the two about fantasies, I expected that there would be a ménage scene and Ms. Carew did not disappoint – surprised me with the identity of the other man, but no disappointment. The inclusion of two additional MC members was not surprising either and seriously ratcheted up the heat factor with the MFM and MFMM interactions. However, what did surprise me was the inclusion of another female and the FF scene that followed. It surprised me because Killer seemed confident that Marissa would be okay with it when they had not discussed it previously and because there was no indication earlier in the book that is was coming. Sadly this jerked me out of the story and interfered with my reading flow. Despite this interruption, Wild Ride was a really good read for me and I am looking forward to more of Ms. Carew’s writing and another trip or two to Eden.
Wild Ride by Opal Carew Invitation to Eden #17 Part of a Series: Ready to Ride #2 Read: March 14 Tags: Contemporary, Erotica, Kinky, MC, M/F, M/F/M, F/F Length: 14 Chapters Rating: 3.5 out of 5
A misunderstanding led Marissa to believe the biker she'd been dating had been involved with a murder. That scared her silly, so she ran. A chance encounter between Rip and Marissa's brother gave him a head's up that he'd caused her grief. Determined to fix his mistake, he, his girlfriend and biker friends go on the hunt for Marissa to set the record straight. The chase leads them to Eden. When Marissa runs into Rip on Eden, she fears for her life and runs again, straight into the arms of another biker with his own issues.
While the story was very erotic and had an undercurrent of romance, I did feel a twinge when Killer boned Raven right in front of Marissa. I don't usually mind the sharing thing as long as everyone involved is okay with that. But it felt like neither Rip nor Killer bothered to check with Marissa first how she'd feel about it, was it a fantasy of hers? Would it upset her? I felt like the decision was made for her and she just went along with it so she wouldn't lose Killer or to show that she could be just as bad as the rest of them. I don't know, I just felt eh. Also, if you're a stickler for realism especially where safe sex is concerned in fiction, then you may not like the fact that no condoms were used between all of these people (all six).
Even though she didn't seem like the type of woman to have sex with a stranger a few minutes after meeting him, the island probably had a lot to do with the loss of inhibitions. I'll say that Eden made her give in to her deepest desires, but it also cancelled out some common sense. The ending was a surprise with the proposal since there were no ILYs, just the usual alpha male declaration of "mine".
I enjoyed her writing and the eroticism of the story. I would read more by this author, just not the Ready to Ride series.
Wild Ride is the second book I've read by Opal Carew, and she's fast becoming one of my favourite authors. It is a fun, super sexy novella that is a pleasure to read. Well written with fabulous characters, it definitely is a wild, steamy ride.
Wild Ride is book two in the Ready to Ride series and is also part of the Invitation to Eden series, but it can also be read as a standalone.
Marissa is trying to escape from her biker ex-boyfriend, who she believes is a murderer. She escapes by jumping on the back of a stranger's motorbike - possibly not the wisest idea! The stranger is a handsome, gruff, dominant biker caller Killer - not a name that inspires trust! They are instantly attracted to each other and soon end up sleeping with each other.
The sex scenes in this book are off the charts - seriously hot! Killer likes things his way and Marissa willingly submits to him. I loved the scene with the gag - I read a lot of erotica and have never read a scene like that before! Opal Carew has a terrific imagination and really knows how to raise the heat levels. The last couple of chapters were so hot it left my glasses steamed up!
I liked both of the main characters, although Marissa did initially annoy me as she's ridiculously trusting. Killer is so hot - I love an alpha male character, especially when he is also a biker! I would have loved to find out more about his history. It was great to see some of the other characters from the Ready to Ride series too.
Is there more between Marissa and Killer than just sex? What is Killer hiding? Can Marissa really trust him? Will he keep her safe from her ex? Go along for the ride and have fun finding out!
Overall this is a great short read. I really love both the Ready to Ride and Invitation to Eden series and I can't wait to read more. Wild Ride gets five smokin' hot stars!
I was just having a talk with myself about, at what point, an erotic romance becomes just too much for me. I think I've come right up against that point. I've dabbled a bit in the genre, and if it's fair to say, I guess I have a type of erotic romance I like reading. This isn't it. In fact the majority of the genre makes me grumble and squirm and roll my eyes.
In Wild Ride, we meet Marissa, who receives an invitation to exclusive, swanky Eden to run from her problems. Only she ends up facing the very problems she was running from. While trying to escape Rip, a motorcylce gang member accused of murder, she hops on the back of a bike owned by a man she later finds out is named "Killer".
Killer isn't a sweetheart. He looks good, but for my taste he's much too gruff. Marissa falls into insta trust, there's insta sex (a lot of sex, I mean A LOT OF SEX HOW ARE THEY NOT NUMB AND RUBBED RAW GEEZ!) and he basically kidnaps her.
Bada bing, she's falling for this jerk. He makes her face some fears, she learns the truth about Rip...........and about Killer. For me, though, the truth is too much, too late. The D/s in this relationship seems built on power not a mutual need for the relationship structure. I also felt like Marissa didn't realize that she could have been set free at ANY TIME if she would have just asked. Even Killer commented that he should be angry at how trusting she was.
I was trying to read most if not all of the Invitation to Eden novels because the premise seemed entertaining to me. If you like lots of sex, gruff sexy bike ridin' dudes and three/foursomes, Wild Ride is your thing!

If I recall correctly, I had to take a time to read this book, 'cause the first one left me
And then, taking a time 'came as a need, or I'd rather combust immediately
The plot is a bit bizarre, well for the FC at least, 'cause everything she goes through happens just in seconds and all her world just spins around so fast, That out of nowhere she finds herself like
She really embraces that "better to ask forgiveness than permission" thing, she really does the whole questions way toooo later; which took her to a whole new sexy world by the hands of
And well, she really had a lot of misunderstandings going on in her head. I really wanted to kick her for even think that about the other sexy biker!!!
At the end such a yummy HEA. WOW! *gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp**gasp*
I read the first one of this series in Riding Desire and I found it a good read this also was but something was missing it didn't fire me up as the first one, you didn't know who to trust and who was lying, I'm not saying its not a good book it is. I like Rip but I think thats because I read the first book and I felt sorry for Marissa I the first one but in this book she kind of annoyed me a bit she was afraid of Rip because he was a bad ass biker but she jumped into the frying pan with Killer she needs a good slapping if you ask me. I still give this book 4 stars because its a good read you need to read it all tho and part is sorry its not longer would like to find out more about their lives after Eden but thats with all the books
This one was definitely very hot! I really liked it for the most part. Marissa annoyed me at first with how easy it was for her to jump on the back of a strangers bike running from another biker. She was so scared of Rip because he was part of a "biker gang" then without anything thought just goes with another biker. But then I did like her. She has some spunk to her.
I was also kind of hot and cold with Killer. He's super sexy but at times I didn't like how he acted with Marissa. They were extremely sexy together but he tended to come off as a jerk sometimes.
There was a little f/f action that I could have done without but overall I liked the story.
Holy hotness! This is a crazy sexy book! I had to fan myself the whole time. Though, I wasn't big on how Killer treated her. I still loved the book. These Eden stories are almost too much for me! I'm addicted and they are all fantastic. I love seeing series that I love, authors I love, with 1 theme. An island where they know what you want even if you don't! These are all must read, but damn! This one was good.
I'm reading this series out of order. I wanted to read Killers story and it was good. just way to short. now cant wait to read the beginning of series Rips story.
