Dr silver fox Daddy and Dr Lily Carter mm nice mild melodrama with a few good sexy times. Dr Ethan Matthew’s mucks it up in the beginning and then we get a secret baby. The child has serious health problems and gives off a bit of a chucky vibe. Sad Dr Carter was willing to risk the child’s life to continue her secret. Nice that the elderly parents were in the picture for both of the main characters.

Dr. Ethan Mathews is a thirty-six year old handsome, intelligent, brilliant physician, silver fox and a forbidden temptation working at St. Anne's hospital. For months he had been having a secret relationship with one of his twenty-five year old intern Lilian Carter a.k.a. Lily. Per hospital policy a resident was not allowed to date any doctor on staff, let alone their boss. From day one Ethan and Lily hit it off right away and she found it hard not to flirt with him, then thing led to another and they succumb to their attraction. It was supposed to be a one time thing but the more time that they spend together their feelings grew more. Ethan suggested that they inform administration of their relationship once her first year was up and that she should be put on someone's else team. However, HR rejected her transfer request so she was stuck reporting to Ethan for another full year, which meant that they had to keep the secret for a little longer. The hospital is against these types of relationships because they deem it as unethical. Ethan and Lily continued to sneaking around behind the administrations backs and would sometimes meet up in the doctors' on-call room for a quickie.
Lily suspect that she was pregnant because of the tenderness in her breasts and everything was making her nauseous. They had just finish having sex in the doctors on-call room and was getting dress when Dr. Hayward burst into the room and was shocked to find them in a compromising position. Dr. Hayward was a stickler for the rules. He immediately started smirking and tell them that board was going to have a field day with their indiscretion and how foolish they were. Ethan tried begging him but it was too late because he quickly slipped out the door and ran to the board. Ethan knows that it was bad and could result in one or both of them being fired. And at thirty-six years old with an established practice he believes that he was too old to start over and refused to do so. If Lily didn't wanted those extra minutes of cuddling after they had sex Dr. Hayward would have never caught them without any clothing. He didn't went to the board but he made sure that news of them sleeping together spread and went straight to the top. The two was summon by the board to hear their fate at the hospital.
Ethan told the board chair, Allen Knobs that it was a one time thing and a mistake and that it won't happen again, that they're only humans. His admission crushed Lily something that he didn't want to do but he was trying to save them. However, Dr. Allen didn't take too kindly with Ethan broking the rules and believe that he thought that he was above the rules. He tells him that what he did was unthinkable. Sex on hospital property while he's on the clock with a subordinate was a egregious misuse of hospital time and resources and that his mistake has cost him. Dr. Allen told him that he's on probation and will report directly to Dr. Hastings in all matters. Dr. Hastings will oversee his practice for the next six months and his pay will be docked twenty percent for the duration of his probation. Additionally, if there's any further infarction that it will be grounds for termination. Lily was the more vulnerable one in the situation because being a resident she was held to the highest standard. The hospital wouldn't employ doctors who couldn't follow the rules. And most of them were weeded out during residency to avoid more problems when they had larger salaries and practices.
Lily's cost was that she was terminated. Ethan didn't stood up for her during the meeting which further gut her and hurt that he called her a mistake. He was sorry that she lost her job but see it as way that they're now free to pursue their relationship without the struggle. Lily was upset with Ethan and would not accept his calls or texts because of what he said in the meeting. She now believe that it had all been a lie, his declaration of love for her. Lily heart was broken Ethan words had cut her to the quick and she was bleeding out. It made it difficult to even open her laptop and search the job boards for a new position. She had no energy, no motivation just dreaded nausea and a lot of exhaustion. Lily finally took the test and her assumption was right, she was in fact carrying Ethan's baby but she didn't plan on telling him and was going to do it by herself. Fast forward eleven months later after the incident Ethan decided to leave St. Anne and applied at Mountain View Medical Hospital.
He could no longer stay at St. Anne because memories of Lily plague him and was eating away at him. She ghost him and his feelings turned to anger and eventually depression. He didn't want to keep walking the same hallways she and him had walked together when he thought they were happy. Ethan got the job as chief diagnostic physician. It was an upgrade for Ethan at Mountain View Medical because he will be going from an attending physician who dabbled in diagnostic to the chief of diagnostics. Ethan is still broken hearted over Lily and refuses to date because his heart belong to Lily even if she didn't want it. He still loved Lily even though she wasn't around. Fast forward four and half later and Lily graduate and is now a doctor and she has her and Ethan four year old son Noah. But Noah was born with a health condition congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and has already had one surgery. He's too small for his age and has already had one surgery. He also as a slight delay in physical development and cognitive development too.
The job at Mountain View Medical will be beneficial to Lily because she could rely on her parents help with Noah, but she's scared of running into Ethan with Noah on the street and he put the pieces together. Lily wanted to accept the job at Princeton-Plainsboro because it was very prestigious and comes with a cushy salary and title but she has to think about her son. She took the job at Mountain View as a pediatric attending and ran into Ethan on the first day at the welcoming dinner. She realized that she was still in love with him after all these years. Ethan wants her and doesn't want the relationship to suffer the same faith like it did at St. Anne so he went to the HR and disclose everything and follow the proper channel in dating. Ethan wasn't going to stop trying to reignite with Lily and was prepared to grovel if he had to. Lily is keeping a big secret from Ethan and doesn't know how to tell him about their son because she had kept the secret from him for four years.
The two reignite their old romance and it's now better than the before. Lily had ample chances of confessing her secret but she didn't want to rock the boat in fear of losing what she's feeling now. She's very selfish and doesn't think about what's best for her child because when he was barely breathing her best option was to take him to Mountain View where they had a better pediatric department. But because she doesn't want Ethan to find out she took him to St. Anne. Four years ago he was her everything. Her mentor. Her lover. Her future. Until the scandal tore them apart. This book was exactly what I needed. Not too much angst but a great story. Lillian is a resident with Ethan as her mentor. Unfortunately for them, another doctor catches them together in the call room at the hospital sans clothing! They were having a long term affair so why they were together at the hospital was not smart! At that point, Ethan testifies that it was a stupid mistake (bad move, Ethan). Needless to say, Lillian gets fired and Ethan is put on probation. Lillian doesn't answer any of Ethan's messages and leaves town. She realizes she is pregnant. Of course, they meet again five years later. She knows she has to tell him that he has a son (who is having medical issues). Lillian makes some mistakes regarding telling Ethan but eventually everything works out.

I loved the characters, even the secondary ones. Noah was so cute and both sets of this couple's parents were there for them emotionally. Loved that.

While reading Silver Fox’s Secret Baby, I found that I didn’t want to set this book down for even a second because the story was the captivating and attention holder. This book had me captivated from the time I started reading all the way to the very last page. Author Lydia Hall has written an amazing romance story that was quite entertaining and enjoyable to read. She continues to take my by surprise with her passion for creating amazing romance stories that keep the reader wanting for more. Silver Fox’s Secret Baby follows the journey of Ethan and Lily. Ethan was everything to Lily, he was her mentor, lover, and future, however, a scandal had tore them apart which had happened about four years ago. Lily didn’t think she would ever see him again. However, Ethan is back in her life, as a brilliant physician, silver fox, and forbidden temptation. I felt some sadness for both Ethan and Lily for what the went through and how their relationship was shattered. I love the fact that these two amazing characters were given a second chance at love. Silver Fox’s Secret Baby is most definitely a book that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a forbidden romance story to read. I’m looking forward to seeing what will come next from this amazing author.

Just wow! This is such an exciting heartstrings pulling ebook. Lily and Ethan work in the same hospital with a no fraternizing policy. They have such crackling hot chemistry. Dr. Ethan Matthew's and his intern Lily had been sneaking around for six months before hospital personnel were notified of their unprofessional conduct, and he was put on probation, and she was fired. He had broken Lilly's heart when Ethan had described their relationship as a mistake. She collected herself and left before her pregnancy became apparent.
She managed to hide her son, Noah from his father for 4 years, until Noah's birth defect necessitated life-saving surgery. The storyline was well developed and would have earned 5 Stars had several editing errors spoiled perfection. Can Lily overcome the resentment and hurt Ethan used to describe their relationship as a mistake, and will Ethan be able to forgive Lily for robbing him of precious years of Noah's childhood? The skilled author achieved all that as the couple found their HEA in this heart melting romance.

This age gap medical romance had me all caught up in Ethan and Lily. They were in a secret romance due to the confines of the work ethics him being her boss and she an intern. When they are caught, Ethan doesn't go to bat for Lily, and she is fired and as a result ends all ties with Ethan. Lily goes on to fulfill her internship at another hospital and becomes a doctor in her own right. She accepts a job that brings her back to working with Ethan and the feelings they tried to put behind them comes out in full force. Will they get the chance to rekindle the love they shared and will it lead them this time around to a happily ever after.

I know this woman didn't just put her kids health in jeopardy because she's a fucking coward. I've been pretty incensed since we find out she makes the whole choice of not telling baby daddy about having a whole ass kid. He's no prize tbh after how things went down but being a boyfriend is completely separate from being a dad and her immature attitude towards this just showed how absolutely selfish she is which she's aware of btw but seems unconcerned to correct.

She gets pissed if her parents try to help her giving her sound advice. She seems disconnected from her own kid when she's "around" and treats him like a fragile little patient. She fucks this man in the office again 🙄 and she knows she's being a trash person because his parents are fading and time for them with their only grandkid is short yet she cannot open her mouth, just her legs. Girl I lost it at she comes over to his place, doesn't tell him to shut the fuck up and say "Hey bitch, you're a dad " nah she fucks him. Her kid is having a medical emergency. And as a full on Dr. And alleged mom she makes the choice to drive him to a less than equipped hospital because she doesn't want to bump in to his dad. 💀 Her dad calls her out and she decides to die on the hill of I'm his mom so I know best even though she knows exactly why the fuck she's doing it. Call CPS someone cuz this bitch has zero backbone to be a mom and put herself second. 🤬
Trying to get through this dumpster fire but tbh I can't see how anyone would be able to explain away any of her choices in terms of keeping a child away from their father who would've most likely dotted on him. She knows better my ass.

The narrative felt excessively prolonged, making it increasingly difficult to maintain my interest. I found it hard to establish a connection with the female protagonist; she lacked the depth and charisma that would typically evoke sympathy or intrigue. As I neared the ending, my focus shifted from savoring the story to merely finishing the book, a disappointing turn of events for someone who yearned for a more fulfilling and immersive experience. Initially, the romance promised to be captivating, drawing me in during the first chapter. However, as the story progressed, the chemistry between the characters faded, not in a jarring or unsettling way, but rather as if the author was forcing their union despite a growing sense that they were no longer a natural fit.

oooh.. dear sweet baby Jesus why? I've never rolled my eyes or wanted to throw my phone across the room more than when I read this book. the author just keeping going on tangent after tangent that is shockingly repetitive. meanwhile the "secret" that's the premise for the book is draaaaaaaaged all the way to the end.

Aa different kind of story

I really liked this book. It is a bit different from the others. Instead of it being the female chasing the male and always having to get him, he was chasing her. There definitely should of been hotter and spicier scenes.

OMG I was totally 100% HOOKED with reading this medical romance book starting from page 1. When Ethan and Lily got caught in the doctor's room after having some HOT sex my heart knew that this wasn't going to be good. Lily was fired and Ethan didn't protect her. Jump then to 5 years later and Ethan and Lily are working together but she has even a bigger secret that she's keeping from him. I felt bad for her and everything she was dealing with alone and Ethan has his own issues with his parent's health. Man, this is one GREAT book, and I loved reading it. So, if you love reading medical romance books this is a definite must read.

Lilly is a resident and Ethan is her boss. The chemistry is instant but being together is forbidden by the hospital. They sneak round falling deeper for each other but then they get caught on the day she planned to tell him she’s pregnant. Ethan tells the hospital board it was a mistake, not telling them how log it’s been building but eluding to it being only the onetime. This breaks Lilly’s heart to hear he thinks she’s a mistake and since she is fired she leaves town and ghosts him. Now 5 years later she Returns what will happen then?
