Dare me: A Best Friend's Brother Romance

Rate this book
My little sister hijacked my gym's yoga studio for a pole dancing class. I've just walked in to find her best friend, Remi, doing some kind of slow hip roll as she braces her hands on the pole while thrusting her hips in the air. I'm going to be seeing that move in my dreams later. On repeat.
"Did you put her up to this?" I really should be more careful. Jen has always been quick; she's not going to miss my interest in her friend.
Her eyes narrow on me as she blots sweat away from her brow. "Why do you ask?"
I glare down my nose at her. "She's the receptionist. She's supposed to be working." There. That sounds reasonable. Like I’m a concerned boss and not at all like I’m a possessive caveman.
"It's her day off, and yes, I might've dared her to take the pole dancing class, but I didn't know she'd be so awesome at it. Look at her. She's a natural." Yeah, and that's the problem. Most of my clientele and all of my trainers are pressed against the yoga studio's window admiring Remi's natural talent. It's irritating, to say the least.
Remi's a sweet girl. Sunshine to my grumpy. She's also ten years younger than me and has been friends with my sister for years. I’ve managed to keep my dirty thoughts and my hands to myself. Up until the moment I see my good girl swinging around on a pole like she's been doing it for years and fueling all my filthiest fantasies about her. Now I'm wondering if Remi is a natural at giving lap dances, too.
I've kept my sister's best friend in this box labeled 'untouchable' for years. Now I'm one hip thrust away from ripping the lid off that box permanently.

sweet n steamy

Damn this romance quickie was smokin hot!! Loved the smooth writing style, felt the chemistry and emotions of the hero and heroine. Fun, spicy read with all the feelz!

Safe. No mention of heros past, but he doesn’t come off as a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/om, no cheating or sharing. Hea with epilogue

Ryan and Remi… I loved it!

*Contains SPOILERS* For the SAFE readers…

Ryan and Remi have liked each other since they met. She is his sister’s best friend since sophomore year in high school. She’s been working for Ryan for a couple of months as the receptionist for his gym. They like each other but have been avoiding special contact because … well, she works for him, is 10 years younger, and is his little sister’s best friend (his reasons). Until her pole dance, where he got frustrated that every guy was looking at her dance, even a trainer was trying to flirt with her and that made him mad. They didn’t know that the sister caught up with their liking and finally worked as a matchmaker, pushing them to spend time together and giving in to claiming each other.
It was kinda stupid that he had to ask for her number; she’s his employee, isn’t he supposed to have their phone number in case he needs to call them?? That was weird to me. And that is without considering that she has been Jen’s BF for a long time, so he still doesn’t have her number? Oh, well.
I felt sad when she thought Ryan was throwing her away immediately after being intimate. He was really telling his sister to get out of the yoga studio, not Remi. Because Jen caught them right after they finished having sx and they were still naked. I mean, from the moment they started touching I was asking myself: Did he lock the doors to the gym before entering the studio to help her install the poles? And there it is… the sister caught them, it was kinda funny.
There are things that make me think he is also inexperienced. For example, when he can’t get her bra open after some tries. Or when he says he’s never been that nervous around a woman. There always are nerves involved in everyone’s first time. Or when he mentions “I’ve never seen anything so f*cking hot in my life” when she is doing something simple/common during sx. So, I’m happy. I’ll call this a DV story.
I loved the story. It’s simple. He’s a grump, protective, possessive, jealous alpha. She’s an amazing girl. I think I’ll buy the book; it’s great to rinse my mind after a bad book.

Definitely humorous and fun, as well as open door sexy times and dirty talk. Sister orchestrates her brother and her BFF finally acting upon their attraction to each other. Well written and fun read. I will look for more from this author.

short and spicy

A bit more unspoken crushes turn into a hot screw in the gym. Beautiful epilogue and characters with spunk. The sister set up was pretty funny.
