I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it.
I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I've gotten better and now I'm writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way.
As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I'm ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas they so rarely get.

Cheesy
I really liked it, but towards the end it was a little too much and could of just cut to the chase.
Overall. Good. I'll be looking forward to more books by Fiona. Especially, Liam and Clare's book because I know it's going to be fire.

This is my first book by Fiona, and wow, what a ride! This was a fantastic mafia romance that ticked all the boxes for me - action, suspense and spice.
Miranda stole the show as a feisty, no-nonsense FMC. I loved her bold attitude and how she never backed down! And then there's Declan, the smooth-talking mafia leader who knows exactly what he wants—and how to get it. Their dynamic was fire, full of sharp banter and steamy moments that kept me continue reading.
The banter? Perfect. The spice? Even better! Fiona's writing has me sold, and now I’m definitely going back to binge all her other books! 📖💕

I do like a bad boy whose not a bad man and Declan fits the bill.

Trigger warnings around difficult pregnancies should be noted if that affects you. The descriptions in this book were so spot on that it brought back my own memories.
I really enjoyed this book. Declan was a take no prisoners leader. It was great to get insight into his feelings after the fact. Not something usually covered in books like this.
Miranda was refreshing. I liked that she stood her ground and didn't just fold. She made considered decisions, and most of the time, they were correct. All she craved was a family of her own.
Declan was obsessed with Miranda and thought he could take what he wanted from her and let her go. He quickly realised he never wanted to let her go.
The extended aspect of this book meant we got to experience their future more than an epilogue or extended epilogue can provide. Saying that, I can't wait to read them when this book is released.

Swoon worthy intense Mafia MMC, a curvy intelligent MFC who becomes his obsession, a plot that grabs the reader by the heartstrings (& does NOT let go) & beautifully skilled writing that smoothly swirls the reader into Ms. Murphy's stellar novel.
She manages to create an enthralling tapestry of characters you are invested in, care about, root for as they pilot their way through their journey, hopefully to a HEA together. There is intensity, sizzle & scorch, an MMC who is willing to do ANYTHING to ensure the MFC is his & STAYS his, witty dialog as well as romance: all wonderfully wrapped up in excellent writing that magically makes you forget you're reading words on a page.
Escape reality & dive into this one: you will not regret it!

I love Fiona Murphy, her writing is always very real and intimate. Her characters are very relatable, being often everyday people, even if Fiona’s books are set in mafia world. Declan and Miranda’s book is no different. I know it has been updated by the author, I must acknowledge that I haven’t read the original version, but I did love this one. This is story of power play turned into actual relationship. I don’t want to spoil the plot or the pivotal moments, it’s best if you discover that for yourself. This book if packed with action, few plot twists and hotness, but also love story. Yes I know it’s romance, but it’s beautifully told, with passion and vulnerability at the same time. Definitely worth your time. Turn your fan on and enjoy!

I have loved every book I've read by this author, and this story is the perfect example of why! Miranda and Declan's story had me hooked from the very beginning, and if it wasn't for real life getting in the wat then I wouldn't have put it down until every single page was devoured in one sitting. Declan is sexy, powerful man with a deliciously filthy mouth that I wish could be used on me....since that isn't in the cards, I guess that makes Miranda his perfect partner. He sassy and strong personality was exactly what he needed, and seeing these two together was perfection. The banter, the spice (and the nice), was on point. Not to mention the action and suspense, which all combine to make absolutely fantastic read. Just more reasons this author has become one of my all-time favorites!

Miranda and Declan were so so cute together!! Like really made for each other.. loved the fact that she was a working woman and very good at it.. the way they fell in love ..it was so believable .. the smwxxxx was so so good.. like excellent.. hotness !!! Also liked that the books had no mis-unders-tanding trope.. or any 3rd act bre-ak up.. and Banshee!!! I wanted her back!!! Like I was waiting for Miranda to surprise Dec by bringing her back!! The new kitty was cute.. but still.. and Killian was adorbs!!!! The secondary characters were superb as well.. Aoife, Com, Ryan, Liam, Clare as well!! Hope to read their books as well!! Had a great time reading it.. go read it!! Enjoy!! This was my first book by this author..and it won't be the last!!!

Love the tough guy with the marshmallow middle! Declan needs Miranda’s skills to ferret out who is stealing from his pubs. Her brother owes him money, so he uses that information to get Miranda to help him. He originally plans to have her spend after hour time to find the thief but is immediately attracted to her and basically kidnaps her. Miranda is a BBW with self-esteem issues and can’t believe anyone as gorgeous as Declan could be attracted to her. She fights the attraction as she tries to find the thief. And she is worried that Declan is the Irish mafia. But the heart wants what the heart wants. And Declan always gets what he wants. This is a steamy, romantic, feel good book. If you don’t believe in romance, you will after you finish reading this book. Love this Fiona gem!

This is a story where h has to pay back her brother's debt but in a unique way, while she is working off this debt she is also under the protection, love and care of H. Declan is everything you would think of when it comes to a mafia king but also everything you didn't know you needed in a hero. I loved how far he was willing to go to ensure that Miranda stayed his. I will say that I am not usually a fan of H's who can't see past the mafia screen, but I do love how Miranda stayed true to herself and wasn't swayed. The plot was great, the story was perfect and the spice was just right!

They cross paths when her POS brother puts her into the mob crossfire due to excessive debt . Fake dating him as a part of her brothers debt payoff . He says she doesn’t belong in his world but he will be damned if he lets her go . After a while his feelings are no longer fake and he goes on a crusade to ensure she falls in love with him before all is said and done .
Together they are explosive , the angst and banter was soo good and they spicy scenes between them were 👌

I really really love Declan’s character in this story. He starts off as the hard ass making Miranda commit to the fake relationship with him to pay off her brothers debt to him but somewhere along the line it stops being fake for him.
Miranda isn’t your typical weak fmc. She voices her opinions and stands her ground as the strong woman she is!
The banter and spicy is top notch. Excellent character development. The plot and twists - you won’t see coming - are also top tier!!!
Declan is a ruthless and feared Irish mob boss that everyone knows not to cross, well except for Miranda’s brother it seems.

Hot Mafia guy finds his love
This author was new to me. I came across her by chance, and I'm so happy that I did! This is the story of Declan and how he finds the love that he never knew he needed. Sometimes in life, people can cross paths intentionally and unintentionally. Declan was a bad guy who didn't have any luck in love, so he wasn't even looking for it. Until one day, purely by chance, his everything walks into his life. Can he really survive without her, or will she turn out to be the air that he breathes? I can't wait to read more books because I know that they will be just as good as this one!

Absolutely loved this book. I absolutely love Fiona Murphy. She knows how to capture from start to finish and how the hero always goes soft for the woman his loves. This is book is no exception. Declan and Miranda are so well suited from each other. No matter how hard she tried to ignore him and fight her attraction for him she final gave in and had no regrets. Declan is scary and intimidating, but yet so soft and loveable towards Miranda and gives her everything she wants. Loved each and every moment I spent reading this book and it just adds to the whole story of the Sabatini's which is by far the best of Fiona's books.

For not reading anything before by this author I did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when I read kindle edition of the book, I found the book to be:

What I didn't like:
1. The book had the man in charge again when will someone write a book with a woman who is in charge and the Man must deal with dealing with a Woman in charge all the time
All in all I really enjoyed the book and would like to read book in print format. Would like to 2 books written 1 from a Man's point of view and 1 from a Woman's point of view.

Absolutely loved this book! I loved Declan and all his red flags, but even with his red flags he was such a good book boyfriend. He took care of Miranda from the moment she met him. He made sure she always had everything she needed and was oh so controlling ;). Miranda was originally forced to meet him because of some trouble with her brother, but that was just the start of it all. Declan definitely fell first and HARD, and was willing to do whatever he had to in order to keep her. I think some parts did get a little slow, but overall all I still loved it!

Enjoyed this storyline with miranda and declan. She had issues with her figure and he tried to get her to see the woman beloved. His world was dark and scary and she fought their connection because of it. It was an OK read for me, I felt it wasn't that dark and declan didn't really come across as the hardened Mafia boss, more a nice guy that sometimes had to do bad things.

This book gave me the ick. A lot of characters telling their feelings with an inner monoluge rather than showing it through storytelling, conversation, actions. It made the whole relationship just feel like lust, there was no reason for love between Miranda and Declan at all.
Also, any scene where there was a hint of drama or conflict it is immediately resolved. What is the point of having a "fight" just to talk it out the next paragraph?

Oh wow! This book was great! Declan and Miranda are awesome together. I read this book in one sitting! I could not put it down. What turns out to be a fake relationship turns into so much more that neither were expecting all because of Miranda’s brother doesn’t know how to stay out of trouble. I love how independent Miranda is!! She doesn’t back down to Declan and that is what draws him in.

A great read
Miranda and Declan, I loved them both. He is certainly a tough guy who does whatever he deems necessary to save his family, friends and businesses. Miranda is basically forced to work for him…but reading further into their story, Declan had his reasons to keep her.
High heat, no cheating, a very possessive male who will do anything for his woman.

This dark mafia romance.was so good. I recently found this author and am hooked. He never met any one like her and she him and the chemistry is smoking. I loved the writing that had them in some great scenes.

Fantastic Book
I absolutely loved this book. The story had it all, family trouble, temptation, and lots of flirty fun deliciousness. I loved all the chemistry shared between Miranda and Declan. And the ending was perfect.
