Hmm....
I'm not sure what to think.
It's a super short prequel, and about the only thing I figured out is that these guys are a bunch of alphaholes.
I'm not adverse to that as a rule, but I'm not certain in this instance that I want to continue.

1.5 'JUST NOT FOR ME' STARS- Sometimes its really nice to get a taste of a series before you dive in and spend the time reading a full length novel or even a novella. 60 pages was enough for me to know that this series just isn't for me. It felt like I was reading Jersey Shore but worse. The guys weren't just jerks, they were JERKS! I need at least some redeeming quality in a hero to want to proceed forward in a series. I didn't find anything here. It also had a strong NA feel which isn't my favorite either. I'm skipping this one. Just not for me.

I received this series free, so I started with the novella so I could get a flavor of the Men Of Steel. Personally, I like a little "substance" to go along with the sex, but this was 60 pages of porn and people just screwing. The guys were assholes and certainly didn't win me over with their attitudes toward women. I actually am going to try the first book in the series. Why you might ask??? Well, I'm hoping this was just a bad representation of what's to come. However, if the first book is anything like this it'll be a DNF really quick.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great pre-quel to the series. You definitely get to see what the boys are like before their stories begin. You see how at first they see women. They don’t really respect them (well that’s what it seems most of the time), they just kind of see them as a play thing.
If you don’t like vulgar language this book isn’t for you. Since I cuss like a sailor and am vulgar as well, this book is perfect for me! I loved the steamy scenes, and this book just made me want the boys even more.
This would be something to read before you read the series (if you haven’t already) if gives you some insight on who the guys were before their stories started.

I don't think this was a great introduction to the Steel brothers I think they came off more like a group of assholes. I did like that they showed some respect to their mother but that was about it. I did like Abe but the brothers just didn't come off in a very good light to me. I will be trying out the actual books abouth these guys because I realize this is before they meet the one. I am hoping their books are better.

Brothers Steel. Having not read the series, I found the brothers to be arrogant manwhores who had the luxury of living in multiple, unbelievable, porn scenes. The guys weren't endearing or hate inducing, just uninspiring. Dialogue was awkward...no surprise there. Lots of eye rolling. While this definitely didn't sell me on the series, a couple of the excerpts from other books were interesting.

It's not a relationship or anything. Which I totally get because people do act like that when they are younger (both guys and girls) but since someone told me they are way different in their actual books I'm even more excited to dive into them!

I received grabbed this book for free off Amazon after I was told it was a great series.
Holy hotness!! This book is a crazy, fast paced look at the lives of the Steel Brothers. They are gonna hang out tonight at Jace's new place and PARTY!! I loved getting to know and meet each brother. They are all so different and soo funny in their own way plus WOWZERS are they all so sexy. I really don't know which brother I will fall for becasue they all made me chuckle reading this novella.
My favorite part of the novella was the "House Rules". I loved it and the fact their mom walked in while they were discussing throwing the "nights fun" out before the AM sunrise...Snickers.....

Cyrus, Jase, Zandor, and Xavier Steel with Abe in the pre-quel to the Men of Steel Series we have been waiting for. These boys are the ultra macho, ultra alpha, and ultra sexy end-all. They are rough, tough, and full of unbridled passion. In the books to follow, they each finally find their match to soften their rough edges and teach them that love and monogamy is not a bad thing.
As a pre-quel, this stands out as a brilliant depiction of their various personalities and somewhat alarming view of love and relationships. Absolutely a must read if you like it rough and hard. These boys do not filter their thoughts or language. Not for the faint of heart... but they are still adorable!

Great novella! This is a view of the Men of Steel before they each meet the loves of their lives. We get a quick picture of the bad boys that are the Steel brothers. I love the Steel brothers and enjoyed this novella tremendously. Five stars to MJ Fields! One HOT little read! (and Cyrus is still my fave!)

I have heard a lot about this series and I have owned this boxset for quite a while, so yesterday I was like this is it, I’m going in….
If I am being honest, I am a little floored by what I just read, but I don’t think it’s in a bad way. I mean these boys are a little hard to take. They are bona-fide players and at the onset they don’t seem to have any redeeming qualities, except for…. they have mad respect for their Momma and they love each other. So what does this tell me? This tells me it’s there for each of them, I’m just gonna have to dig a little deeper to find what each one has to offer. I can feel there is a back-story and my curiosity has been peeked to where I have to know what it is.
Kudos to Ms. Fields for presenting them to us, without any sugar coating, it’s going to make it all that much better when that one special girl comes along, knocks them on their asses and makes real men out of them!!!! This makes it that much more exciting to me as a reader knowing they are also going to be challenged with making me swoon. I can’t wait to see which one becomes my favorite ☺

Although I read a book co-written by MJ Fields, Forever Steel is my first book of hers.

So when the closed sign goes up, all the brother are ready to play just as hard as they work. What better way to party then at Cyrus’s new house? And after establishing some house rules, that's just what they do. If you’re ready for the sensual ride of your life, then grab hold of a big piece of Steel because these boys may not know commitment, but they do know pleasure.
This was a very quick read with very little meat. It was more of an introduction to each of the Steel brothers. The four brothers are crude and rude. None of them are ready for commitment in the slightest, and no strings sex is all they need. Not only do we see a bit of their personalities, but we also see that each brother has their own demons. I liked meeting them, and I’m looking forward to reading them all. I’m just nervous one or all of them will break my heart first. ♡
