From Hugh Howey's World of WOOL...

Throughout human history, public executions have been a means for the powers that be to punish and deter those who would commit crimes against the state.

Dark.

A difficult subject tackled in this book, tackled well. Not too graphic yet detailed. I really liked it, the characters too.

Disappeared....Appears to be a really good book!

The book "The Disappeared " was a good read. I usually will absolutely love a book or totally drop it. In this case it was a slow starter, but in the end the pace and the depth of the story swept me along.
If you are a Silo enthusiast, you'll meet some IT people of the lowest moral order you ever encountered in the Silo universe.
On the way to the ending some characters you really care for, are going to end up in a bad way. And the bad guys, well, you've got to read the book.
All in all I would recommend this book to anyone. But I promise, you need to read all you can of Hugh Howey's Silo series first. It is the foundation of all the fiction Hugh Howey has allowed others to spin off.

Another Silo Story

The Disappeared is another story set in the world of the silos. I enjoyed reading it and the relationship between Echo and her friend Shimm.
