This is a well written book about helping someone who has severe anxiety.

It does not go into a lot of detail about what causes anxiety as it is not written for people suffering from the condition. What it does is provide a lot of suggestions of what to say (and what not to say) when someone you know has anxiety, when they are having an actual panic attack, if they are scared to seek help etc.

I found it a useful read and it helped me understand why some of the things we say which we think may help may actually cause more stress. I also enjoyed the section listing lots of activities that anxiety sufferers can like doing to help alleviate their condition.

A simple—at times a bit too simple—guide for the proper care of people suffering from anxiety disorders. I read this one because I'm doing a semester-long project on anxiety disorders, but also because a lot of my loved ones do suffer from panic attacks, and it's hard to know what to do for them. This book has lots of practical advice; I guess I just wanted a bit more science.

Excellent book for understanding anxiety, with practical tips on how to help and support a friend of family member. Great tips on what to say/do, not say/not do.
