Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she's a cat, a cat who thinks he's a dog...you get the picture).
When she's not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
I enjoyed the book to the extent that it was well written but as an erotic 'love story' it failed miserably.Cooper from 'Tease' apparently still has extremely strong sexual & emotional feelings for Beth,a client from his hooker days.Eighty percent of the book has Cooper in Beth's company which makes the reader extremely confused about the relationship dynamics between the couples created by the author in the previous books.Whenever Beth is in a crisis Cooper instantly drops everything & runs to her like a hound to a bone.Something that happens throughout the entire book.Mia's presence,Coopers purported 'love choice' from the first book is almost ghost like here.
Cooper:I deserted Beth before and what happened…I refuse to let her down again. If Mia can’t understand that, then maybe she isn't the woman for me. You should’ve been there for Beth. Instead you were too focused on yourself.
Cooper as a character came across as extremely immature & nothing about his relationship with Mia was resolved satisfactorily & than they got married. That jump boggled my mind with everything else happening in the book.
Beth comes across as the most selfish heroine ever created. She should have totally stepped back from Cooper. She was always around him like stale fish. The book is so rushed towards the end I wonder if the author forgot to submit some chapters in for publication.
Cooper's thoughts about Beth:
“Fuck yeah,” I mutter as my fist moves back and forth. I can’t help myself. I can’t get her out of my fucking head. All those times we fucked when she was my client…It had been a while since I’d slept with Mia—or anyone, for that matter—but that didn't stop me from jacking myself off at every available chance, and my muse was always the same person.
For a hero to wank about a former client the entire book while in love with another woman whom he later marries in a rush with no resolution or concrete proof of that love given to the reader is unsettling.
Roman:
Coop and Mia married last fall. Beth and I attended the wedding, and surprisingly I enjoyed myself. Both Mia and I have been making an effort to support Coop and Beth’s friendship and I think they appreciate that. What kind of friendship? The kind that star in your sexual fantasies.
So Mia as Cooper's love interest & later wife is totally unbelievable.I'm not even sure how that came about.Maybe there is going to be a book 4 about the affair between Beth & Cooper.
If this book had been marketed as a menage or some kind of foursome I would have given it a five star but as it stands even a one star is pushing it.It's the most confusing novelette I have read in ages.
So Roman’s secret is out. Beth meets her father. Carlos reveals more secrets. Coop is still wanking to fantasies of Beth. Mia is….where is Mia exactly?? Oh yeh she’s in the background getting angry because her boyfriend keeps running off to see his friend Beth. There’s Coop wanking in the shower with Beth on his mind and then meeting her in a hotel room (the wank was so he wouldn’t be blue balled resisting the urge to taste Beth’s pussy again) There’s a marriage….or two. Throw a kid in the mix and there you have the complete story of Beth, Coop, Mia and Roman!
And if you think that was fast, you should read this book because it was a story that was gradually unfolding and had been unfolding since book one, then right at the end of this book was an epilogue saying who married who etc and it just seemed like the author had given up on the story!
There was no real showdown between Mia and Beth despite Mia finding Beth and Coop in a romantic cabin together. There was no real sorting out Coop’s ever strong wanking over Beth syndrome. There was no resolution to Beth and Coops obvious love for each, nor Beth and Roman’s obvious non love for each other.
To be honest, I think the author got this book wrong, in my opinion.
Huh? Why did Coop marry Mia? All he thought about fvcking was Beth. I'm really confused. I wish brain bleach was real, and I've never thought that before. This was BAD. Not even "edgy" just really, really BAD!
I'm little bit cross with Missy over Scandalous, I mean why did this take sooooo long to publish? The first book in this series came out way back in Nov 2013 and there's still another book to come - though it can't be about this foursome surely? Maybe a spin off and about Anna? Who knows.....
I still enjoyed my romp though with Roman, Beth, Coop and Mia. This definitely focused more on Roman and Beth sorting themselves out and finding out about Roman's secret. Also Roman dealing with the 'best friends' relationship of Beth and Coop. Mia may well have been invisible for all it was worth with her miniscule appearances in Scandalous, which is a shame that her and Coop didn't get they fullfilment in the spotlight too.
Ooooh tell me who hates Scarlett eh! Again that area could have been a bit more in depth but as a sideline story it was good.
This story is too short really, too condensed to really 'feel' them all again, especially after such a long wait between releases. On that point I will give this 3.5 to 3.75 stars it could have been higher for me but I just felt some of it was skirted over rather than given the proper air time.
I received a copy of Scandalous in return for an honest review. My reviews are my own and are 100% honest.
Roman and Beth have made it through all the drama and are still together. They are making a life together and sharing some pretty steamy moments along the way. The trip to his club was scorching and revealed even more of Beth's naughty girl. Unfortunately Roman is still guarding his secrets from her. They are pretty big secrets and could definitely do damage to their relationship. Instead of coming clean Roman avoids her which causes even more problems when the truth is revealed. Then they both are rocked when one of his secrets leads them to a secret bigger than any he has been keeping and changes everything. I love these two together and wanted to give Roman a shake or two. I love Beth. There is just something about her that is hard to resist. I want more of her story.
It is amazing how your past determines your future but when you find out your past shouldn't have been what it was and you can change your future then this can be a good thing.
Roman has demons in his past that he can't get past but when he finds out the truth he does something about it so his future looks brighter.
Beth seems to stuck in a rut with her present because of her past but wants to change this, when he past comes back she doesn't want anything to do with it.
Both Beth and Roman need to work through their pasts to get to their future.
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review
I'm so happy Romain found out the truth about his daughter and was able to reconnect with her.
I'm surprised that Coop & Beth didn't end up together. I really thought that was going to happen.
I think Beth and Romain were good together. I don't blame Mia and Romain for being awkward with Beth and Coop's friendship. I'm sure Coop wouldn't like if Mia was best friends with someone she'd had sex with numerous times before. And same with Beth and Romain.
This book has me really confused!!! Roman all of a sudden has a daughter with a girl named Marisa, but what happened to Louisa and the incident in book 2 named promiscuous? Supposedly Louisa was 7 months pregnant when she disappeared from his life. Then she was never mention again. Then this book comes out and no Louisa is mention at all and Marisa appears with a daughter named Anna. Super weird!!! I'm not sure what happened In this story, it seemed liked the author forgot the story line she has started from her previous book.

Honestly, I think this probably deserves 2.5 stars. I was impressed with how much better book two was than the first, so maybe I had unrealistic expectations. Unfortunately, this book only lived up to the "unrealistic" part. I also thought the personalities of several of the main characters varied from previous books. Finally, while the other books had a few minor typos, this one seemed to have more.
I was totally lost most of the time while reading. I kept feeling like I was missing something. I motored through and finally got into the story about half way through and was happy with how things turned out for Beth & Roman and Mia & Coop. I love Missy Johnson and writing but this book just didn't do it for me.
This is a great read I love reality and not fairy tales the end was a huge disappointment where it was really rushed coop and Mia got married but u never got 2 find out wat happened when they got back from cabin after dropping Beth off

This book was a pretty quick read. I enjoyed it. Just shows you that even if you have a past it can still find you. In the end some things are worth the fight.
OK it had a good idea behind it, but there were story inconsistency from the book before and even within the book. it jumped around alot. we would be going minute by minute then we would skip parts.
