The Dear Dragon series is made up of several books that are easy readers. They use site vocabulary that is printed in the back of the book (67 words). There are also several activities listed at the back of the book for reading reinforcement. It reminds me of the books I learned to read with. I love the updated books with newer illustrations.

In this book, the circus is in town. The boy, dragon and his friends head off to the parade followed by the circus. Dragon disappears and ends up in the show. He is on the tightrope, riding a unicycle and more. The boys keeps telling him to come back but dragon is having fun. The illustrations are wonderful and illustrate the text perfectly. These Beginning-to-Read books capture the imaginations of beginning readers and help them on their way to independent reading. They could also be read aloud to young children who are not able to read yet. A great addition to a family library or a primary classroom.

Thank you to Netgalley and Norwood House Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.

In this book, Dragon goes to the circus. Instead of watching from the crowd he joins in the circus acts. Read the book to find out what he does!

I love that there is a Reading Reinforcement section in this book. These are ideas for parents and teachers to help improve the child's reading skills. There is also a list of the words that are in to book to help with rapid identification. This book is perfect for those that are just starting to read!

Thank you Norwood House Press and NetGalley for the free digital copy of this book for my honest review!

This title of the Dear Dragon series has the boy and his pet dragon visiting the circus. Dear Dragon is delighted to be part of the acts. The simple sentences and repetition are designed for beginning readers. Plots are thin in these books, but they do serve a purpose. The format and bright cartoon illustrations will appeal to the intended audience. The appended reading reinforcement activities that are a mainstay of this series serve to help parents, teachers or caregivers enrich the reading experience. The titles are well-suited to beginning reading practice.

The dragon series is great for beggining readers. in each one a little boy and his dragon go through different daily events. Beggining readers can link the repetivie text to the images in the story and solidify their independent reading.

I had to read this with my son for a reading test. This was so terrible I got a headache from it.

A bit advanced for my children yet, but good story with different concepts. Will read this again when my son gets older
