I love you when you're messy-sticky fingers, face, and hair, with papers scattered all around and paint splashed everywhere! Snuggle with your little one to share this sweet celebration of the unconditional love between parent and child.
This is on behalf of my 7 year old daughter Mitali - who met the author, Tammi Salzano, and got the book signed. She loved the book :). Thanks, Tammi, for a book that brought excitement and smile on her face!
This is sort of a love note from a mother to a child, starting at dawn and following through the day right up to bedtime. It came into my head to sing it to the tune of "Skinnamarink" as I read it to my nearly-three-year-old granddaughter, adding the refrain before I turned each page. (You may listen to the tune at this link: http://www.songsforteaching.com/folk/... ), and here are the words...
Skinnamarinky dinky dink Skinnamarinky do, I love you!
Skinnamarinky dinky dink Skinnamarinky do, I love you!
I love you in the morning, And in the afternoon I love you in the evening, Underneath the moon…
Skinnamarinky dinky dink Skinnamarinky do, I love you!
Now I just need to contrive a way to share it in one of my library baby times or story times.
Celebrates all the fun stuff that goes along with being a kid - but maybe more so all the fun stuff that goes along with being a mom. A nice reminder to enjoy these brief little kid years.
This book isn’t really a book I would read to my students but I would love to have this book for when I have my own kids one day. It teaches kids that no matter who they are and who they want to be, I will still love you. This book embraces the differences people can have, this should be shown in a lot more books in children's literature.
A bright and colorful book about all the different things a little boy does with his time and how his mother loves him through all of it. Sweet and simple text pair perfectly with cheerful illustrations to make this a great read aloud for a preK or toddler mother-themed story time.
A very sweet book which describes some of the mum's sons' qualities. Beautiful illustrations throughout which contain some great colour. Very easy for pupils to follow along, and actually has a strong underpinning message. Everyone should be happy as we all have our own special, unique qualities.
This book is amazing to read to children to remind them that we love them no matter what. No matter if they make a mess, are sad, etc. This is a great reminder to not change who they are because of people and other things because loved ones love them just the way they are and who they want to be.
Kuvakirja vanhemman ehdottomasta rakkaudesta lapseensa. Kerrottu vanhemman näkökulmasta; lapsen päivittäisiä puuhailua seuraamalla vierestä. Perusvarmaa Kustannus Mäkelä -sarjaa.
This book it’s so sweet and shows lots of everyday scenarios we live out. My son is 15 months and we read it about 3-4 times in a row every night before bed. He loves it so it gets 5 stars!
This Book is a fun and amazing book to read to your child. It shows that although the children may make messes and be a little crazy at times parents still love them no matter how much mess they make or how many wacky ideas they have. The mother illustrates the book and is talking specifically about her son. We know that boys are messy and imaginative and she expresses that these are the qualities she loves about him and that she would not have any other child or changer her child in any way possible. It shows the indefinite and unconditional love from a parent for their child.
The main character, is a boy and as a stereotype we know that boys can be hard to handle as well as messy and very creative. All of these characteristics are seen in this book. we see the boys making messes when they are painting, we are shown a "normal" depiction of dress up showing a king and then a more creative version of dress up being a "superhero-pirate-dog." Also the accent of the main character's red hair contributes to these characteristics because we know that characters with red hair are more likely to be spunky and very playful.
the illustrations are kept very simple. the colors are bright to keep the focus of the child, but it also depicts the mood of the story as being happy and very lively as well as playful. Among the illustrations we also see hidden gems like toys that children play with now and would be able to recognize. there are lots of dinosaurs that go along with a boy stereotype but we can also spot batman, spider-man, cars, and knights. kids will have a fun time being able to spot them. Among the illustrations we also see, what i am assuming is his favorite toy, the monkey taking part in all his adventures or in the background watching. this is realistic as a child would carry a favorite toy for comfort as well as fun.
This wonderful book explains how much a mother loves her son. Whether he is messy, loud, or quiet she loves him. It is obvious the little boy in this story has a lot energy, is creative and very active. But whatever he is doing, Mom is looking on and enjoying who this little boy is.
This is a perfect mommy/son story about love.
The illustrations are colorful, beautiful and fun to look at. I would highly recommend this book to read to the little ones.
I really enjoyed reading "I Love You Just the Way You Are." It is a picture book and intended for children ages 3 to 5. The book is beautifully illustrated with color and crazy pictures. The book has a warming feeling about the unconditional love between and mother and her son. No matter what he does or how he looks his mother tells him how much she loves him. I think it is a great story to be shared.
A fantastic book to share with a young one, hopefully over and over again. Would be perfect with other books like Little Raccoon's Big Question by Miriam Schlein and Just for You by Mercer Meyer.
