this is not the best intro text to biotechnology. the language is a little too technical and the graphics are not colorful enough. Biotechnology: Science for the New Millennium would be a better text to start with.

It is a good text book for biotechnology beginners but the diagrams are rudimentary and some topics are not described objectively.
