NHL forward Remy Stone steps off the plane in Calgary a newly divorced man. While he doesn’t necessarily want to live in Canada, the trade offered a good excuse for a fresh start and he means to capitalize on it.
Defenseman Grayson Brody has played most of his career with Calgary, but has long fallen out of love with his team. After coming out, he has struggled with his teammates and management, and wishes he’d never done it at all.
With the addition of Remy Stone shaking everything up—both on the ice and off—things start looking up for the first time in years. What starts as a friendship between them, turns into a casual, friends-with-benefits relationship.
Except a casual relationship with a teammate is fraught with complications; particularly when it starts to feel less casual to Grayson, and neither of them are sure what the future looks like for them.
I can’t believe this is the same author who wrote SCU Hockey series. There isn’t really anything bad about From Coast to Coast, but I’ve read hundreds of hockey romances like this one before-maybe it’s on me for reading so many books. On top of that, this felt like reading again the first book in the series, Changing the Game, but with a different format and better pacing.
This was especially disappointing because one of the reasons why I thought J.J.Mulder could become a new favorite author was the fact that she was able to write two completely different stories in the SCU Hockey series: different vibes, characters, tropes and storylines. The last thing I expected when I picked up From Coast to Coast was reading a copy of her own debut:
♦️the two main characters are also living together, but this time both are hockey players ♦️the gay hockey player is crushing on the ‘straight’ flatmate ♦️the flatmate has a bi-awakening
The characters were different from the ones in book 1, but they didn’t really stand up from other characters I’ve read before. I finished the book having one single highlight, which shows how little it made me feel. I read this last week and already forgot about the whole plot.
Overall, I have nothing bad to say about it, but nothing really good to say either. It was okay to pass the time, especially if you haven’t read many hockey romances before, but there wasn’t anything original about it. I’m really tired of books that make me feel I’m rereading the same thing over and over again. I’ve decided I’m not going to read the book I have left from this series, the third one, but I’ll be looking forward to her new SCU Hockey release; she’s been nailing them so far.
I knew I loved Remy when he randomly, if a little too conveniently, brought up how he'd like to have one of those earth shattering orgasms he's read about in romance novels, jussssssst before they have sex.
Like, yes, baby. Way to set expectations. No half-assing it to be tolerated from Gray. No pressure? Fuck that. All the pressure.
Nah, this had me giggling and kicking my feet.
Remy being all coy with it, wanting it but fearing to ask for it. Gray giving him time to figure things out but secretly losing his shit that it may not be in his favor.
Yep. Real yearners are so back.
'How ridiculous—him thanking me even though I’m the one who just won the damn lottery.'
Awwww🥰
From 'You should go on the date with the bartender if you want' to...
“Tell Troy to spread it around that you’re not available. I’ll be calling every bar in Colorado, too, to make sure the bartenders all know to back the fuck off.”
Had this man explaining himself thirty two times after HE pretty much sent him on that date.
And still bringing up bartenders almost six months later at the point of the love declaration OMG LET IT GO💀
Just kidding.
I love a lowkey toxic MC.
Did not love how Gray made most of the first steps. Remy felt things, and wanted them, but never voiced them until Gray did, which got old for me towards the end.
The random bartender could never smh. He'd speak tf up.
Also. Hated the epilogue. Focused more on cameos for other characters than telling us what the fuck became of one MC's career after he got fired.
Um, hello???? Is the other just going to be his sugar daddy going forward or no?
This is the best book I've read in like two weeks so all the stars because I'm just happy to be happy again.
This book healed my soul from previous awful book. This is the type of book I personally prefer. I LOL’d several times, I was smiling like a teenager, perfect amount of angst for me, plot was good, healthy communication, so sexy! beautiful genuine characters being sweet and showing vulnerability. I LOVED Gray and Remy!
It took me until past the 50% mark to start to get into this book. I don't even know what it was particularly, I can't really put my finger on it, but something about the first half of the book was just off for me.
I really liked the friendship between Remi and Alex, as well as the brotherlike bond between Grayson and Troy. The friendships were strong and Zolkov was also a nice addition to the Calgary team because everyone else was an absolute arsehole - I forgot he'd been traded actually!
Remi is definitely a himbo. He's so clueless and oblivious to what's happening in his life and at times it was kind of annoying because it felt ridiculous that he could be so unaware, but I did like his journey from newly divorced to finding love. He was just very hard to connect to because he didn't really know who he was, so in turn I found it difficult to know who he was too, if that makes sense? I did like that he was trying not to rush into a new relationship because he didn't trust his judgement, but on the other hand he freely admitted that what he felt with Grayson was unlike anything else he'd ever experienced, so I was confused about why he couldn't accept his feelings when he mentioned he'd been raised to talk about his emotions etc.
Grayson was also a bit of an enigma because we don't really find out all that much about him except that he's gay and is having a difficult time with his teammates being homophobic, even though they've known him for years before he came out. There are no conversations between him and his family at all - they're mentioned maybe once and then totally forgotten about, whereas we get a fair bit of content about Remi's mum. Grayson effectively has no personality outside of being a gay man and a hockey player, so I did struggle to form any kind of connection to him, because he didn't feel well rounded enough as a character.
I did enjoy seeing Carter make his NHL debut though even though it meant Anthony's retirement, and I really hope that Zolkov gets moved back to a decent team because I really don't want to read any more books that are based in this Calgary team. There wasn't a single side character that made me want a story for them, so hopefully if there are more books to come in the series it will be with a different team.
Finally, I actually really liked the ending to this story! I usually get a little apprehesive with this author because I love their stories and characters but the end to their books is always so abrupt. This book was the opposite though, the ending was perfect but I just struggled to connect through the rest of the story! I am looking forward to more books to come from this author though because I am enjoying their wider story universe, this installment was just a bit of a miss for me unfortunately!

I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review
What a freaking delight. It's official: J.J. Mulder is one of my favorite hockey romance writers. I swear, everything I've read by this author has been an absolute delight, and it keeps getting better and better.
Remy and Gray's story stole my soul <3 it was EVERYTHING. Their dynamic had me in a chokehold since the very beginning: a smidge of secret identities shenanigans, a forbidden friends-with-benefits relationship between teammates, a whole lot of first times and a whole lot of pining? A queer awakening that feels so damn relatable and real you'll want to hug Remy to death? I was absolutely SOLD. Also, kudos for the demi rep. I loved it. I adored both MCs so damn much: Remy is that precise, peculiar mix between a chronic, anxious over-thinker and an unbothered king; I loved how chill he was, and I also freaking loved seeing his more vulnerable, anxious side. And Gray! Gah, that man is a dreamboat. He's so gentle and kind, but also so damn sexy? Remy never stood a chance. I loved their relationship to bits.
"From Coast to Coast" is pretty much a light-hearted read, but it never felt shallow: there's an emotional undercurrent to the story and the budding relationship between Remy and Gray that made a world of difference. I loved it. I also loved how J.J. Mulder managed to balance out the hockey with the romance: everything felt precisely right. One of the things I love most of the "Offside"series as well as the "SCU Hockey" one, is the fact that the author manages to write perfectly balanced stories: they're fun and light-hearted, sure, but the banter is actually funny, the emotional connection always feels so real, and J.J. Mulder never shies away from writing about heavy, emotionally tough topics either. "From Coast to Coast" isn't a heavy read, but I so appreciated those little moments between Gray and Remy where both of them showed their fears and vulnerabilities. I also appreciated how the topic of homophobia in sports is handled; lots of hockey series nowadays kinda sugarcoat it a lot, and that's completely fine because we DO read romances to evade from our lives, but I think it's good to deal with real-world problems too.
Anyway, I freaking adored this novel, and I can't wait for J.J. Mulder's next gem. I hear it's going to be Vas's story and I'M EXCITED. I can't wait to go back to the SCU Hockey world, and maybe see Nico and Anthony again too. Also, speaking of which: that epilogue? PERFECTION. No notes; I loved it.
TWs/CWs: homophobia, slurs, injury (mentioned).
Many thanks to GRR for the ARC. This is my honest review.
This is my first book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed.
The secret relationship aspect was what initially caught my attention and I love hockey romance so it wasn’t a tough choice to push aside other pending books just to get through this.
This was good feel read. I loved Grayson and Remy. They fit each other so well I honestly couldn’t see them with any other person.
Despite how low angst this was, a part of me wished they communicated their feelings for each other sooner but I honestly understand why both of them were sceptical and wasn’t sure where the other stood. For Remy, it made so much sense that he didn’t want to rush into a committed relationship just months after his divorce. I honestly couldn’t blame him. I couldn’t blame Grayson either, his reasons were valid and I guess that longing and pining aspect made the book a lot more enjoyable because I was eager to see them either get extremely jealous or just bite the bullet.
Overall this was a fun read. Loved how Remy wasn’t all about hiding his relationship with Grayson, fuck what anyone else thought or felt. His priority was Grayson and that was honestly just sweet.
DNF @ 26% - MCs don’t have any personality so I’m bored. Their defining traits are one is gay, and one is divorced, and one is blonde and tan, and the other is brunette and tall. That’s it, that’s their entire personalities repeated over and over.
Where the hell did Remy sign, where the hell was the player’s union, wtf to pretty much all the hockey shit.
The romance was cute as fuck but seriously a whole star off for that ending. I reread it a few times and I can’t find any mention of where Remy goes next. Also, poor Zolkov being stuck on that team and not invited to the epilogue party after being such a staunch ally.
These two now firmly live in my head rent free. There’s no changing that. I really thought that no one would be able to top Tony and Nico but idk, these two might have done it.
I love that it started as a kind of no strings experiment (after they revealed their identity) but it quickly became obvious that it would never be casual.
Their journey wasn’t easy. They faced distance and issues with the league but they’re both nothing if not stubborn. Grayson is my favorite human. He’s huge and hairy and just the absolute sweetest dude. Remy is just sunshine and California personified.
I’m so happy they got their story and their happily ever after 🥹
I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my honest and voluntary review🖤
This is my favourite book in the series! I loved every second of it. Remy was exactly what Grayson needed to pull him out of the hell he was living in and I loved all their moments together. Their chemistry and connection felt so natural and real. The cameos were great too, especially from a certain professional door slammer… I mean goalie! If you’ve been enjoying the Offsides series, you can’t miss this one. It’s full of fun, cuteness and your favourite characters may make appearances.
Truthfully, I was battling food poisoning when I decided to read this arc the first time so I was a bit delusional and all I could remember was that I loved Grayson so much I wanted to shrink him and keep him in my pocket for safekeepings.
On the second read, I had a tad bit more brain function so I was able to better appreciate the gifts that are Grayson Brody and Remy Stone.
First I just want to say SIZE DIFFERENCE. Yes, please & gimme more.
Second, I really just loved Grayson and Remy’s entire dynamic. We have Grayson who is just giant of a man but continually tries to make himself blend into the background as to not make his teammates uncomfortable even though besides Zolkov and Gordon they’re all a bunch of dickheads. And then we have Remy who before Grayson has never looked at another man, but is so enamored he doesn’t even second guess his attraction, he just finds such comfort in Grayson he wants to be with him no question.
Remy is honestly human sunshine and he’s so down bad for Grayson. Grayson is convinced his entire existence of being near Remy is going to cause problems, meanwhile Remy is out here like:
“It’s better with Gray. Life, sex, everything. I feel like I’ve been walking around half-blind and he gave me perfect vision. Now I’m wondering how I could have gone so long without noticing what I was missing.”
These two really just hit the spot, their love was so unconditional on both ends, the way they fell together was so pure and something that began just because they truly enjoyed each other’s company.
I am a fan to say the least! Now, can we find Zolkov a better team and perhaps a man ??
I can’t believe just how fast I fell for Gray and Remy. They had me hooked from the very first chapters, and I got dragged deeper and deeper as they story went on.
Everything about this book just felt good.
The friendship, the self discovery, the communication, the easy banter, the love scenes, the side characters, the feelings!!!!, everything felt like a war hug. This is an angst free romance, a feel good story that just has you smiling all the way through.
I saved so many quotes, and I just a know I’m gonna need to reread their story very soon.
I LOVED the ending of the offsides series and Remy and Grayson were such cutie pie idiots. 10/10 would recommend.
Alex cracked me up. Z was still the best and funnest. Loved all of the appearances from our fave characters.
But most of all - I just really loved the friendship and connection built between these two idiots (THE DATING APP!!!) and how much they devoured each other.
Also that epilogue is the CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD. And I won’t be taking questions at this time.
This is book 4 in a series I haven’t read . It was a good, little angst read. No third act breakup so that’s always enjoyable.
Remy is on his way to divorced , signed the papers. He has no interest in sex , so his lawyer suggests hooking up with a man. The idea has been planted !
Grayson is an out and proud ice Hockey Player , on a team that is not supportive at all. Luckily he has a friend in teammate /ex-roommate Zolkov. If I like this Z guy, I’m gonna want a story of him too 🤣
You know it feel like the most sport related M/M is about ice hockey players and I’m totally here for that but I wonder what makes authors choose it . Why does it seem to be the sexiest sport to write about ?
Remy joins Graysons NHL team. They already have a great natural camaraderie … but what about bed chem? ( haha now I have that Sabrina song stuck in my head.)
Ok, yep I love that Russian Zolkov. He is freaking hilarious. Team Z!! He seems fully satisfied bring straight though so not sure how we’d get a book with him.
Grayson and Remy are on a dating app , I guess like Grindr, with anonymous profiles so when they start chatting to each other they don’t realise they know each other in real life . They connect and flirt and send sexy pics.
It’s not just Grayson and Remy’s team mates that are homophobic asses, the coach seems to want to tank Graysons hockey career as well.
Remy figures out Grayson is his Grindr friend and lets Grayson know. Grayson is all like this isn’t going to work being room mates and team mates.
“Why? Because I’ve been fantasizing about fucking that man”—I point to his phone—“ever since he sent me that first picture. I can’t just go back to living with you and treating you like my roommate—I haven’t got that level of self-control. Not when you walk around like that.”
A friend with benefits idea is nixed and it’s back to trying to be platonic friends and roomies. Wingman in a nightclub even. This is going to be a disaster 🤣
“Remember before, when I told you I thought maybe I was only attracted to you? Yeah, that’s true. That is definitely, unequivocally, no doubt about it, the truth.” I pause, giving Grayson a moment to process this information before I continue. “So, yeah, the experiment failed, I guess. I’m straight until I can find myself a giant, off-limits hockey player.”
Don’t worry Remy, Grayson is finally onboard and they agree to be secret, exclusive friends with benefits who communicate. What could go wrong?!
They have some hot hookups and those messy pesky feelings begin to develop.
Fate decides to seperate Grayson and Remy, adding to loneliness and misunderstandings .
“I still don’t believe Remy and I are on the same page where our relationship is concerned. He’s still comfortable with friends with benefits, while I’m ready to commit. Hell, I’ve been ready since the first time we kissed outside of the nightclub.”
It’s fine Grayson, you guys are on the same page. They become partners in a long distance relationship. Remy is out and stuck with the homophobic team … but not for long.
“I love you,” I say again, enjoying the way it rolls right off my tongue. I’ve never said those words to anyone but my parents and Troy. “I love you, too,” he says seriously, but his lips twitch and he adds under his breath: “Let all the bartenders know.”

It’s a JJ Mulder book, so you know you’re getting something amazing and this one didn’t disappoint!
I love Grayson so much. He’s kind and thoughtful. He cares about others and puts others first. When he loves, he loves hard. I also love Remy, who is all those things but also a little more laid back and go with the flow. But also he’s a bit more anxious regarding how his actions will impact others.
I really enjoyed Remy immediately befriending Gray despite their team ostracizing them. I also enjoyed how they “meet” while also being roommates. That was hilariously adorable to me! I like watching them build this friendship that has a layer of lust and turns into total pining.
I also love the side characters like Z. It was great to see him again and he’s wonderful. Oh and Remy’s mom! Her chaos was so delightful. The conflict with the team and Gray (and then Remy) was interesting and kept my attention. I was so curious how that would go.
This is all over the place but I love how Remy’s bff suggested trying men and Remy was just like okay. No hesitations, no qualms. He just dove right in.
Also the epilogue? Amazing!! I love bringing all these characters together. Oh and Carter!!!! Just seeing Carter pop up, even for a minute, made my life.
Overall, if you want classic JJ - so sweet, so charming, and keeps you hooked… this is it!
Notes: 2.5/5 spice levels, roommates, meet online (dating app), divorced mc, friends with benefits, hockey, teammates, homophobia, Canada, long distance, size difference, found family, mistaken identity, sexual awakening, secret relationship, so sweet
So for the bookqueenchallenge I also needed to read a romance novel. I wasn’t looking forward to yet another “pretty insecure girl meets difficult hunk”-story. So i dove into the genre to find my new fix. Turns out, there is a whole subgenre on Gay-Romance in the Ice Hockey Scene! 🤣
This was fun. At least both characters were insecure! Now let’s move on.
Creo que es el que más me ha gustado de todos, como que tiene buen cierre de serie. Y son bastante majos entre ellos así que me ha gustado. El puto equipo de hockey en el que empiezan debería eatar disuelto porque son unos gilipollas.
Thanks to Gay Romance Reviews for giving me an advanced copy for review.
I really enjoyed this book. The main characters were likeable and well-rounded. The hockey is proper (with hockey romances becoming all the rage, the amount of wallpaper hockey books was concerning).
I appreciated that the guys make an effort to communicate. There are hiccoughs and mess-ups, but they rectify them. I enjoyed that this is a story of self-discovery as well as mutual discovery. The story is well thought through. Things evolve logically from what has gone before.
You do not have to have read the earlier books in this series to enjoy this one, but I recommend them. This is very good quality m/m romance.
The beginning felt promising, albeit a bit been-there-done-that with the dating app plot, but it was short-lived and any chemistry that was building melted away.
Grayson and Remy as characters were lacking depth and I never felt a real spark between them. We’re told there’s a strong attraction both physically and emotionally, but none of that translated while reading. Like we start off in a close proximity situation (yay!) with them as roommates and then Remy moves out once attraction is shared so they can start something after?? Like WHY. This was also very much a GFY plot which tends to be a trope I rarely like, and it wasn’t done well at that.
I just didn’t care about the team drama, Remy’s sexuality discovery felt very underdeveloped, and the relationship lacked passion. Sadly a total miss for me 🫤🫤🫤

I really enjoyed the romance aspect of this story. Remy and Grayson have pretty immediate sparks even if it takes some online dating for them to realize it. Remy’s questioning story line and search for a label was well done and believable. Grayson fears regarding Remy’s fear of a relationship following his divorce while also worrying about coming on too strong was a convincing roadblock that didn’t feel outrageous.
As a hockey fan there was some pretty egregious hockey errors and there is some serious on page homophobia to consider as part of the story line. But overall an entertaining and romantic story.
This was such a feel good & low angst hockey book!
A freshly divorced new teammate and the openly gay player the other teammates hate, online dating, strangers-to-friends-with-benefits-to-lovers, there was a lot going on but in a kinda cozy (despite the dickweed side characters) way!
It's a bit estranged from the rest of the books from this series storywise, because the other couples were all living in close proximity to each other and these two do not - which lessens the found family aspect a bit. But it also might work better as a standalone than the previous books. I've loved the found family vibes of the other books and would have hoped for more presence of my beloved characters, but it still was totally fine - and this epilogue was PERFECTION!
There were really good atmospheric descriptions, especially Remy's beach house made me feel the sand beneath my toes. And the thunderstorm scene? I wanted to be there! Also, I love supportive ex spouses and this was also executed very well.
Tbh, I was a bit scared of the "gay for you" trope, especially because a lot of gay men criticise this more often than not, but I felt it was done so well in here, because it dips more into ace spec/demi territory and JJ stresses how it's not important to find an in some cases more restricting than freeing label, I've loved this aspect! Also, you'll always get me with an anonymous-online-dating-but-knowing-each-other-in-real-life trope. The humour was good as well and I want a Zolkov book, I just adore his snark!
! There are homophobic characters and slurs
Why is it not five stars for me? - It misses a bit of tempo for my personal liking, but it's not boring or anything - The characters miss a bit of depth, but their relationship doesn't! - There's one scene of one MC being woken up through a blowjob, and because that's dubcon/noncon in my eyes, this needs a CN/TW and this is missing
5 stars JJ Mulder did not disappoint with this fourth book in the Offsides series. Grayson and Remy are both amazing characters and very good for each other. I literally adored how hard Remy was smitten and enamoured of Gray: his sexual awakening is very well written, both on the physical and emotional side. And I loved that his insecurities weren't about Gray but about himself, about not being sure of making the right decision. I really appreciate that he never questioned him or strung him along. Grayson is fantastic, he couldn't do anything against the sunshine of a man who fell into his apartment (and his arms). He's steady and confident, but with Remy he just melts and surrenders to his emotions. I loved how he asked for more, even if he was scared of the outcome.
The sex scenes are steamy and very intimate. Remy isn't afraid of having intimacy with Gray and he acts unphased, although Grayson is still able to surprise him in the best ways (I liked so much Remy's astonishment when they had intercourse in a certain way). And, just to put it out there, the size difference trope is to die for here.
Another thing I loved was their ability of communicate: maybe they didn't always have answers or solutions, but they never stopped trying to make things work.
The epilogue is like a warm hug and made me so so happy! Can't wait for the next story! P.S.: I beg the author to take Zolkov out of Calgary right away!
I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.
JJ does it again...writing characters so sweet and endearing, I instantly fall in love with them.
We met Grayson Brody in Changing the Game when he was on the South Carolina team, only to get traded to Calgary, yeah I was as sad about that as his 'little brother' Troy was...
Fast forward a couple of years and Gray is keeping his head down playing in Calgary on a team that has been less than welcoming after he came out to them, playing with fellow SC tradee, and only friend Andrei Zolkov. That is until recently divorced Remy Stone is transferred from California and pretty much attaches himself to Graysons side, and becomes his roommate.
After signing his divorce papers, his best friend Alex asking "Have you ever considered men?", Remy decides to explore and creates an online dating profile. Queue some rather blunt messages from men that Remy skips over, then he meets Brody...6 foot 7, with gorgeous thighs, and a love of snowshoeing and tea. It doesn't take 'Ree' and 'Brody' long to form a fast friendship, with a side of mutual dick pics. All while Gray and Remy are also becoming closer while living and working together.
The mistaken identity doesn't last long though when Remy (with a nudge from Alex) realises that Brody is actually Gray, spills all and they admit to being attracted to one another in real life.
The rest of the story is ridiculously sweet, with Gray knowing he's going to fall for Remy in a hard way but agreeing to a friends with benefits situation to give Remy the change to experiment with his sexuality.
I LOVED the softness of both of them and the fierce protectiveness that Remy had over Gray when he could see how the team were treating him.
One thing that JJ does so well is found family, and Gray and Remy's story is no different. We get to see more of the Offsides boys from the previous books, along with meeting Remy's hippy mother, and more of the love that Grayson has for his little brother Troy. There might even be an appearance from a certain grumpy goalkeeper from the SCU series too....
Remy’s just gotten divorced and moves to play for Calgary. He instantly befriends Grayson and moves in with him. Deciding that it’s also time to explore his sexuality, Remy signs up for a dating app.
Grayson is the only out gay guy on the Calgary team. Despite knowing them for years, he’s been getting the cold shoulder since coming out. His only friend is Zolkov, until Remy joins the team! Gray has been having a dry spell and also decides it would be good to sign up for a dating app.
I guess you can tell where things are headed!
These two were just meant to be. The coincidences were all so adorable! I loved how open and comfortable Remy was to explore his sexuality. Gray being a gentle giant, probably helped a lot.
What I absolutely adored was the communication between these two! What they went through wasn’t easy but they certainly made it work! Their feelings were so soft and the progression of their relationship was so steady! I’m a sucker for gentle love and this was it!!
“Being with Grayson is easy and safe. Addicting. Instead of feeling like I’ve fulfilled my sexual exploration, each time I’m with Grayson I want more. I want a lot more than I have any right to ask for.”😭
“A relationship doesn’t always have to feel like work. Sometimes it can just be beautiful.”
Another master class in characterization from J.J. Mulder. I hate hate hate miscommunication, but it definitely made sense here considering Remy’s character and was resolved relatively quickly, so I’m giving it a pass. My only real complaint is that this book takes place over the course of like 8 months and we miss out on some development between the MCs as a result; I way prefer when all relationship shit happens on page. But regardless, I’m adding Mulder to my auto-read authors list and genuinely can’t wait for her next book to be published.
ugh. i had high hopes for this especially bc of the high ratings and was so beyond disappointed. at the start i was like woah it seems like they will actually focus on the hockey (what i’m reading for) and then they totally drop it abt 20% in and its all just borderline porn the rest of the book. very uncomfortable read for me bc i hate that stuff and didn’t expect it from the summary. i just wanted a good character dynamic and some hockey not just hockey as a plot device for them meeting and homophobia.
