I don't think I've ever read an Oor Wullie or The Broons comic strip before. They are delightful and this is a fantastic collection.

Sixties Broons and Oor Wullie, most of them familiar to me from their annuals in the Sixties and early Seventies. Dudley D Watkins died at his desk in 1969 having drawn nearly three and a half thousand of Broons and Oor Wullie strips. He didn't just do the famous Broons and Wullie, he was also responsible for many other characters in DC Thomson comics, including Lord Snooty and Desperate Dan.

Grew up reading The Broons and Oor Wullie. Also used to love getting The Dandy, Beano, Jinty and other annuals at Xmas. It was always hard going to the paper shop on Dalmarnock Road to select my top 3 picks that mum and dad would buy for me.
