Cherry's Jubilee: Lunchtime Chronicles: Season 7

Rate this book

Cherry Cross is not looking for love. Hell, she's not even looking for like. Not until she meets a man at the last place on earth she wants to be.

There's no way she can be with Daniel Jubilee. On paper, they're complete opposites.

She's your average girl. He's the oldest son of a billionaire. She works a regular nine-to-five. He's second in command of a large conglomerate. Not only that, but he's also her cousin's boss—the cousin she hates.

But from the moment their eyes lock and his fingers brush against hers, they cannot deny the electrical charge. So, they don't.

When one date turns into a weekend, and a weekend turns into every day, they find themselves not only head over heels for each other but completely unprepared for how fast and how hard they've fallen.

Between their differences, her double-crossing family members, and deep family secrets, can they turn this thing into forever?

3.5⭐️ Surprise! This story was packed with a lot more substance and backstory than I expected from a novella. Cherry is a feisty, relatable and totally likable female main character. Daniel, is neither arrogant nor acts as though the world owes him its allegiance. He is not an a**hole but rather he is very down to earth. There is everything to like about him. Cherry and Daniel are the perfect compliment to each other. The book is part hilarious and part yummy-sexy.

There are some family dynamics and angst concerning Cherry, her mother and relatives in the story. I am somewhat skeptical with respect to the reasons why the issues were even a “thing” and even more so to fester for many years. Nevertheless, the novella has just enough angst to add a bit of an edge to counter all the feel good in the book. Oh, for inquiring minds, 🔥 🔥 🔥🔥.

In all, this is probably one of the most “complete-feeling” novellas that I’ve read in a long while. The story is highly entertaining, and it’s one that I’m glad I spent a few pleasant hours reading. I am impressed.

Fun.

This was a fun, quick read. Loved our MCs and hated our antagonist. I know the point of the LTC books are to be short stories you can read at lunchtime, but dang it I need more Cherry and Daniel!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cherry’s Jubilee was truely a 5 star read for me. Cherry is one of those FMC that stands on business! She didn’t care whether it’s her mom, her uncle or her cousins she let them know exactly what’s up!

Aside from her relationship with Daniel, I absolutely adore her relationship with her sister & bro in law. lol Kirby doing his wife’s bidding was absolutely hilarious!
I also love that the vibe was just right between Daniel and Cherry with their first interaction! Bonus points that he fell first lol

All in all this book was 10/10 *chef’s kiss* for me. I highly recommend you getting this book and LOL for yourself

I’ve not read many lunch time chronicles but as a big ES fan I had to give this a go and as usual she knocked it out the park. Loved the characters in this book and would have loved a full book about them but as a novella it’s still brilliant!

Evelyn Sola usually gives us these super feisty, super strong female characters, but this time, the heroine is the cherry on top (pun totally intended). Daniel is the total opposite: calm, collected, so confident nothing fazes him, not even Cherry's feistiness. And well... opposites attract.
One more thing, a mention about the super dislikeable, awful characters that Evelyn creates, and that are the bane of her hero and heroine existence? Come on, she's a master of these "I-want-to-slap-you-in-the-face" secondary characters! Bravo!!

wanted more!

This was some straight up mess and I loved it. The drama with Cherry’s family was so entertaining I didn’t want this to end. I loved Daniel too. The way he moved for Cherry was really sweet. Definitely wanted more of this story.

One thing about this author is that she knows how to write 2 people falling in love and the things they do, showing their love for each other. So you can get wrapped up in their love story. However..I disliked this FMC with a passion. She annoyed the hell out of me.

What an amazing story!! Evelyn Sola outdid herself with this book!! Once I read the synopsis I was all in. Let me tell you what I loved about this book.

Cherry was a no nonsense having type of woman that stands on business 24/7. She makes no apologies to anyone for who she is and what she's about. Especially to her biatch cousins and their parents. But when she's forced to help her sister cater her evil cousin Ashley's bridal shower, she would meet Daniel Jubilee, the man that would set the earth on fire for her. Let me tell you! The Instant, their eyes connected it was fire!! It was like they were the only two people there. But the devil loves misery and misery loves company. I'm just gonna say her mother's side of the family is a piece of work. They all should've caught hands a long time ago.

This book had me in a rollercoaster ride of facial expressions. Wide eyes, side eye, stank eyes, laughing eyes, smiling eyes I had all of them while reading this book. The one thing this book never was is boring. Nope. This book kept me engaged, turning these digital pages greedy for what came next. Daniel and Cherry were tested plenty of times throughout the story. But one thing about Daniel Jubilee was that he didn't play about his Cherry bomb! And neither did Cherry when it came to Daniel. I loved that Cherry and her mom were able to reconnect and start to heal. I could go on and on about this book. It was that great of a read. Trust and believe this book will keep you entertained until you finish reading it. I highly recommend it.

Our story begins with Cherette “Cherry” Cross who is bartending her toxic cousin’s engagement party as a favor to her younger sister and brother-in-law. While working Cherry meets our leading man Daniel “Lee” Jubilee. Both are enjoying a cute back-and-forth until Cherry learns his real identity. At this moment our story takes a turn.
Cherry and Daniel not only have to navigate their growing relationship and deal with her family drama as well. I won’t spoil the story, but I will say I had my theories about a few things especially when it came to Cherry’s Uncle Whit and his family. I will admit that Cherry’s parents upset me at first, especially her mother. However, my feelings changed as the story progressed. I also like how Cherry and Daniel balance each other.
This novella was not short on the snarky humor, drama, and steamy romance you have come to expect from the author. There were a couple of characters and parts that had me cackling. Despite all the complications Cherry and Daniel achieved their HEA. I really enjoyed this story overall.

👍👍

In my opinion they were meant to be, “Fate” wasn’t ready for them to meet when Patrick whatever his name was let Ashley influenced him & turned her down for the job. They would meet eventually!! So, Solange & Kirby you had nothing to do with them meeting each other. 😂 So there!!
Let’s see, it’s a short read, not too too short, but this book is full of humor, rivalry, jealousy, hatred, betrayal… etc but camaraderie between Cherry and her Jubilee will grip your heart and senses. And the chemistry in the bedroom 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cherry is sharp nothing gets by her, she figured out in a split second what Ashley and poor Amiri were up to. Didn’t stop her from seen red and whooped their arses . And Karen, Karma can be such a … 😝
Love the Jubelees !!!
Really enjoyed the read!

crazy family, but loving man

loved their crazy romance. she wanted to know if he ever had some 'sugar' and he had and wanted some more. she liked him also, but didn't want to admit it. and one dinner led to a relationship that was killing her jealous family. and he didn't care, he wanted her and she wanted him. he saw no one but her and claimed her after their first encounter. she was his, and he wasn't taking no for an answer, and she wasn't giving him a no. from her family to his, they were a match made in heaven.
I love the lunchtime chronicles.

Not for me but others may enjoy. The main character, Jubilee was too negative and unforgiving for me to enjoy the book. The romance part of the story just didn't make up for the family dysfunction that was such a big part of the plot. Loved all of Sola's other books and definitely still a fan!.

Contagously funny!

Friends Cherry and Ginger were funny. I love how Cherry handles her cousin Ashley and her jealous family. Story line and characters maintained my interest. My only complaint is that the bonus epilogue was not automatically included. What a shame!

This book made me laugh hard...in public!! It stole my heart from chapter one and never let go. A new-to-me author and I was totally enamoured. Sass factor is sky high in Cherry Cross, she's “The sugar of the brown variety.”
Funnily she's forcefully ( lifted and carried physically) dumped to bartend in her cousin's wedding by her sister. A cousin they hate with a passion, cause she's a total B*i@tch. Who walks in?
cousin's boss- Daniel Jubilee of Jubilee enterprises.
Sparks that fly give macys Thanksgiving fireworks to shame. Daniel is hooked-lined-sinkered in matter of minutes.
I LOVED her bestie Ginger who had some of the WITTIEST lines I've EVER read

“I swear if you don’t go, I will disown you, set your car on fire, and trash your apartment.”

“First of all, Amira would suffocate the poor guy with those giant udders. Second, think about how much fun it will be to visit him at Jubilee. Maybe you can take a walk through whatever department Ashley works in. Make her fetch you some water,”

I'm snaughling, chortling right now 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh heavens, Evelyn writes like a seasoned writer. I enjoyed every second, every line of the book. I dmd her demanding more of this clan, Esp Ginge
Read. Laugh. You're welcome!

Evelyn Sola joins the Lunchtime Chronicles franchise in season seven with a decadently steamy offering, Cherry’s Jubilee! Cherette “Cherry” Cross is a loyal and supportive sister, but when she is asked to tend bar at her sister and brother-in-law’s current catering gig, she must be literally strong-armed into agreeing. The event is the engagement party for her cousin Ashley. Ashley has spent her entire life in a one-sided competition with Cherry due to family dynamics and secrets. As the evening unfolds, the one major bright spot in Cherry’s world is the extraordinarily handsome man, Lee, who relentlessly flirts with her as she serves him. Imagine her surprise when she discovers that “Lee” is Daniel Jubilee, her cousin’s boss and a man who has close ties to her entire family. Daniel reluctantly attended the engagement party of his PA in lieu of his father. He is instantly smitten with Cherry and is determined that nothing will stand in his way of getting to know her better. Ms. Sola has a knack for penning books with family angst and dysfunctionality with secrets decades in the making. I loved Cherry’s strength and her resolve to look after her mental health and peace of mine. Daniel is a swoon worthy partner with unwavering loyalty, he understood the assignment. The story is a novella and subsequently shorter than her usual books, but it is awesome from beginning to end.

My new favorite

Cherry’s Jubilee by Evelyn Sola:

Cherry’s Jubilee is a captivating and exciting romance that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end. Cherry shines as a fierce, no-nonsense protagonist who refuses to compromise her peace, making her character incredibly relatable and empowering. Her interactions are filled with charm, wit, and strength, setting the tone for an unforgettable read.

Daniel and Cherry’s relationship is beautifully developed, with moments of tension, sweetness, and growth that make them a couple to root for. Their chemistry leaps off the page, and readers will find themselves hoping for future stories that continue their journey.

However, not all characters are as likable Ashley, in particular, plays her part as a hater perfectly, and Cherry’s struggles with her mother add extra layers of conflict and depth. These dynamics create drama without overshadowing the heartwarming romance at the center of the story.

Evelyn Sola delivers another winner with Cherry’s Jubilee, a book full of energy, emotion, and characters readers won't soon forget.

Heres another one for season 7 of Lunchtime chronicles, chef kiss, Cheery's Jubilee. Cherry and JR were complete perfection in true Evelyn Sola way! This was one of those books that couldn't be put down. Left me deep in thought with a smile plastered on my face throughout the book. Swoon worthy with a side of family turmoil. The story and drama surrounding Cherry and JR is like getting cozy and watching a good ole lifetime movie. Totally captivated from the 1st to the last word. Lol, I've read it a few times, ensuring I didn't miss something fr. She never misses. Cherry's Jubilee was short but most definitely sweet, sexy, naughty, steamy, with some drama added into the mix. Jubilee was on a mission and wasn't to be swayed even by Cherry. Wow, Cherry opened up THAT can on her hating folks' right! Evelyn Sola consistently checks all my boxes. *ARC generously provided by author in exchange for an honest review* Honesty Evelyn Sola never misses! Great addition to this season's Lunchtime Chronicles!!!

I have only read a couple of books by Mrs. Evelyn Sola but I knew that I enjoyed her writing style so I was anxious to read Cherry's Jubilee.
I was immediately drawn to Cherry Cross because she is a strong independent woman who knows her worth and doesn't let anyone bully her or talk down to her. She sets her personal boundaries to protect her peace of mind and sticks to it.
Daniel Jubilee is an Alpha male who loves his family and has no problem catering to the woman in his life.
This story shows that family can be your worst enemy and sometimes you have remove yourself from a situation in order to have a peace of mind.
Cherry's mother wanted the love and acceptance from her father's side of the family so bad that she alienated her daughter.
I loved the way Daniel showed Cherry's how much she meant to him and refused to let her go.
This was a really good story and I can't wait for the next book in the LTC Season 7 line up.

The problems family stirs up!

This was a very fun to read book even though UT was tired with serious family problems. I love Daniel and cherry is relationship. They really hit it when hey first met even though Daniel told a little wife lie or a lie of omission. Ashley and her mother really had their nerves by belittling Cherry's family. They were mad with the wrong person. Babies have no choice ? N whom they are born to. And it wasn't even the blood family if Karen. It turns out that there are family secrets they didn't know about. Poor Michelle struggled her entire life for acceptance from her father' family. She finally tot to the point where she was not taking it anymore. Even a hit dig hollers.

The families tickled me with the discussion if Cherry should take on the Nubiles surname. Daniel got his wish. His Cherry Bomb will become his Cherry Jubilee for their HEA.

Evelyn sola- A master storyteller ♥️

Let me start by saying that Evelyn Sola doesn't miss - ever! Recently, I finished reading Cherry's Jubilee Arc, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster of emotions.

Not only is Mrs. Sola an author, but she is also an artisan of words. The way she weaves intricate tales filled with complex characters, yet manages to tie up all loose ends in a satisfying manner, is truly remarkable.

The characters in her stories are not just characters; they are vibrant, quirky, mischievous, relatable, and wise all at the same time. Each one adds a unique flavor to the narrative, making the reading experience truly delightful.

This type of book is right up my alley, and I can't get enough of it. I find myself eagerly awaiting Mrs. Sola's next offering, as her writing is nothing short of perfection - it's like a chef's kiss!

Cherry's Jubilee by Evelyn Sola did not disappoint at all. Cherry's Jubilee is part of The Lunchtime Chronicles Series. We meet Cherry and Daniel, and from their first encounter, there is some instant chemistry. When Cherry finds out who Daniel is, she backs off, but Daniel doesn't stop until he gets Cherry. Cherry's family is filled with a lot of secrets and elevations. Cherry's Jubilee had me on an emotional rollercoaster, but in a good way . The characters were written very well, and the author made you feel things and had you in your feelings. This story had some funny scenes in it as well. I definitely would recommend this book to other readers if they are new to Evelyn Sola and to the Lunchtime Chronicles Series. I look forward to reading another book in the series and from Evelyn Sola.

First of all I want to thank Evelyn Sola for an ARC, I’m truly forever grateful for her and all the content she’s provided me as well as for her just being such a sweet person! With that being said I loved this book but it was way to short for me I prefer a longer plot it just kinda felt like they got together and then had a minor hiccup and then lived happily ever after which again I can’t be mad at because I am aware there was a certain word count she could go over and it was supposed to be a short novella, but besides that I loved everything else, if you want a short cutesy romance to reinstate your interest in romance this is for you I could stop smiling. I cannot wait for her next release!

Cherry's Jubilee 💞💞💞🔥🔥

LTC Cherry's Jubilee by Evelyn Sola was outstanding!! Cherry Cross and Daniel Jubilee upon first meet were both hooked!! The way they met was hilarious and magical! Cherry didn't know that Daniel was a Jubilee and Daniel didn't care who she was as long as they were each other's. I love this story because of the conflict and jealousy of Cherry's aunt and cousins. Who were truly cruel and selfish. One of the cousins worked for Daniel Jubilee and was on a warpath to separate and destroy Cherry and Jubilee's connection. And it was pure fire.🔥🔥🔥 I love how Daniel and Cherry handled any kind of problems of bitchiness and pettiness! This book is sexy and hilarious! 😂 Check it out to see how Cherry and Daniel handle these haters!❤️❤️❤️

I had no idea about The Lunchtime Chronicles until I saw one of my favorite authors' new novella, “Cherry’s Jubilee,” recently released. The series has been around for several years and features some of the most talented interracial romance authors in the industry. I have quite a bit of catching up to do. But in the meantime, “Cherry’s Jubilee” is a perfectly spicy novella with a billionaire who adores everything about Cherry. However, he happens to be her cousin’s boss—the one that she doesn’t like at all. I love the payback in this.

The story is very fast-paced, at 149 pages. Evelyn Sola still develops the characters and plot well, plus several steamy scenes. I dont know how she does it, but this was a good read.

I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I don’t even know where to begin! This was one of the most entertaining and amazingly creative books I’ve read in some time! I literally did not want to stop reading this book because it was so engaging and fun! I started reading it at around 8ishpm and did not stop until I finished it around 6:30aish! It was that good! All the characters from the MCs to the supporting were very well written and so well thought out! Evelyn is one of the most talented and creative writers in the field today, and she hits this first time Lunchtime Chronicles story OUT OF THE PARK!!! I highly recommend this book!

Cherry Cross and Daniel Jubilee end up at a party neither wanted to attend, but after meeting, couldn't have asked for a better evening. These two hit it off right from the start with easy banter and undeniable chemistry, but will conniving family members keep them apart?
Jubilee is a easy to read entertaining love story about a couple who fell into a relationship neither saw coming. Cherry tried hard to fight it, but Daniel fought harder to keep her by his side. In the end jealous relatives nor family secrets could tear them apart. This couple is hilariously charming and I loved every minute of their story.

ARC REVIEW

Evelyn Sola did her job!! At first I thought FMC’s name being Cherry was kinda cheesy but it freaking works. Mainly why I’m a reader and she’s the writer! lol Honestly, read it in about an hour and a half. Cherry and Daniel had the perfect chemistry and the amount of smiling I did while reading is crazy! Supporting cast didn’t disappoint either. This book contains all the family dynamics , twists and laughs that would get from her full length novels. You will NOT be disappointed…It really is that good!
