When Callan Hunt arrived at Ryemont High senior year, I couldn’t have predicted the hot Irish football player would become my everything … and end up breaking my heart.
College and dreams of a career in interior design were my sole focus until my new neighbor bulldozed his way into my life.
Callan had ambitions too. He planned to leave Vermont after graduation to pursue his dream of playing for an English Premier League club.
We weren’t looking for love, but fate had other plans.
When Callan was scouted during our freshman year of college, I couldn’t have been prouder.
Until everything came crashing down in one crippling blow.
I was devastated, and it took years to recover.
After finally moving on from the heartache of my past, I now have a successful career and a billionaire CEO fiancé.
Then my first love reappears.
Callan says it’s time I learned the truth about that night.
He claims he’s never stopped loving me and vows to fight for me in a way he couldn’t before.
He seems determined to keep every promise he ever made me, but how is it possible after everything that’s happened?

I am so in love with these two! You asked for another hot Irish MMC and I've delivered. Astrid and Callan do not make the journey easy, but the HEA is so worth the emotional turmoil. I've missed writing this kind of angsty romance!
Also, this book introduces the H from my new billionaire romance series.
I absolutely adored Callan and Astrid. Their connection was so strong. Their attraction was 🔥🔥🔥. I loved how he much respected her. Just watching their love unfurl was such a treat.
Not gonna lie, there was one character that just couldn’t connect too, and oh boy did they prove me right. My JAW DROPPED in absolute shock at things they did!
Great ready to feel ALL the feels, cause Siobhan pulls you through them all. You will swoon, your heart will ache, you’ll get frustrated, your jaw will drop.
“You’re not a distraction, and I have room in my heart for two great loves.”
I’m just going to dive straight into this review. If you pick this up, please be mindful of the content and themes, as it explores some graphic and confronting situations that play out on page and in discussions.
I love Siobhan’s writing and this absolutely delivered. The way she tells a story takes you on a complete emotional rollercoaster and that’s one of my favourite things to experience as a reader. Watching two characters who are clearly meant to be together face tough, heartbreaking challenges, yet somehow find their way back to each other, just does it for me.
I love Astrid and Callan so much they deserve the world. My heart aches for the time they lost, but I can understand the choices that were made and why everything unfolded the way it did. Roni, Callan’s mum, was such a beautiful soul and a standout side character for me. She truly added something special to the story.
This is very character-driven with an intense, gripping plotline. Every time something happened, I found myself running through three different scenarios in my head, trying to guess how it would play out. Sometimes I was right but not all the time. A story that makes you think, question, and theorise is always a win for me.
I will say, at around 15%, I clocked who would be a problem. The hatred I feel for a certain character makes me want to scream.
If you love angsty, soulmate story that hurt before they heal you need to pick this up I highly recommend.

ANOTHER IRISH MAN??? I was locked in immediately. 😍
I’m such a huge fan of Siobhan, so I expected angst, but this was full-blown, years-spanning of emotional destruction. Callan and Astrid start with meddling moms, neighbors-to-everything energy, and the classic “we’re not getting involved” lie that lasts approximately five minutes. The fake dating? Chaos. The jealousy? Delicious. The Spider-Man kiss and the Claddagh moments? I was gone. 😩
And then outside forces completely wreck them. 😡
This isn’t a simple breakup. It’s secrets, manipulation, pride, trauma, and years of heartbreak layered on top of each other. There were multiple times I had to pause because I was so mad. There is one character I hated with my whole chest 🤬🤬🤬🤬and I’m just going to say I had a weird feeling early on and should’ve trusted my instincts.
The “right person, wrong time” trope is used to inflict maximum emotional damage here. Watching them try to move on while clearly never being over each other? Brutal. And when the truth finally starts unraveling, it hits hard.
Callan especially surprised me. There’s depth to his pain that makes the second chance feel earned instead of convenient. The tension when they’re forced back into each other’s orbit as adults? So good. And can we talk about how horrible Sean is? 😑 Like goodbye sir and good riddance!
Is this dramatic? Absolutely. Is it messy and high-stakes? Yes. Did I eat it up anyway? 100%.
That HEA felt hard-won, and after everything they survived, I needed it. 🥹
If you love angsty, first-love-never-dies romance that spans years and tests your emotional stability, this one will wreck you.
Siobhan has done it again! Let me tell you, this book absolutely put me through it. I made an effort to enjoy the happy while it lasted because I knew that when things crashed down, it would destroy me. But I was not expecting the reasons behind it or just how utterly devastating it would be. Every time I thought the worst of it had been revealed, it kept going. I just wanted to reach into this book and hug Astrid... and throat punch Callan. And the one behind it all was truly one of the most vile, evil forces. I would not wish them on my worst enemy. I was not sure anyone would recover and heal from all that. But that ending was everything, and I truly appreciate the included related resources and information. This book was amazing and will stick with me.
I hate when it comes to love triangles authors ALWAYS make the other MMC randomly become a jerk so they can “choose” easier! Astrid said herself that Sean’s behavior came out of nowhere, he’s always been loving to her than he meets Calum then BAM he’s suddenly a asshole who insults her, embarrasses her and doesn’t trust her he randomly became emotionally abusive so Astrid could go back to Callum cause in my opinion she wouldn’t have ended up with him otherwise. Also this shouldn’t be considered a second chance romance like 75% of this book is the past then the last 20-30% is second chance it was more of a 3rd act break up than anything else. Also callum didn’t redeem himself to me I would’ve preferred them just being friends or nothing at all cause I wasn’t buying he loved her the entire time they were apart, the only reason this isn’t a 1 star is cause she slept with other people
Also the summary is VERY misleading, it implies he actually fights for and grovels to win her back knowing she has a fiance! “Then my first love reappears. Callan says it's time I learned the truth about that night. He claims he's never stopped loving me and vows to fight for me in a way he couldn't before. He seems determined to keep every promise he ever made me, but how is it possible after everything that's happened?” Does that not sound like he was gonna fight for her the second they reunite? And yet he doesn’t fight at all his “fighting” happened during the last 3 chapters and that’s only cause her engagement ended plus we don’t get any actual fight he asks her out and she eventually says yes after being newly single for like 2 days
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I have no idea where to start, or what to say and not spoil anything.
This story definitely went in ways I was not expecting. But in true Siobhan fashion, she knows how to deliver the angst and emotions while keeping the reader fully engaged the entire time.
I really enjoyed how Siobhan told this story in two parts. Astrid and Callahan's story starts off when they are both seniors in high school and he just moved to the area from Ireland. We get to see their relationship go from friends to more and how explosive their chemistry is - not just physically, but emotionally. We get to see them move into their college years and start achieving their dreams - until everything is shattered in an instant.
The second part is them years later as adults and in their new lives. They unexpectedly come face to face at a meeting and things go just as one would expect after their lives are irrevocably shattered. All I will say is that Callahan not only shows Astrid how much he still respects her by not interfering in her life, but he will always fight for her, no matter what.
Astrid and Callahan's story is an emotional journey that will keep you at the edge of your seat the entire time. There will be tears, curses and smiles throughout it all and it will be worth every emotional whiplash.
The first half of this book began wonderfully and ended horribly. The whole vibe of the book was rough. The writing style felt rushed and a bit messy. I loved the concept of the book, but I feel like it was a miss. The rushing of the plot didn’t flow. The second half of the book tried to redeem the book but again, was too rushed. It felt overall messy.
A story love, heartbreak, and second chances that will leave you reeling as you read each chapter. “Never Stopped Loving You” is told in two parts and I love that it was not separated into two books because I would not have been able to wait for the second book. The main characters become friends and then lovers after one of them moves into the house next to the other. Their connection is instant, but they try to fight it at the beginning. I love that we got to know so much about the side characters and how much they fit into the story perfectly. You get high school sweethearts, big athletes on campus, best friends, love, heartbreak, betrayal and some suspense all rolled in this adventure. Without giving too much away the main characters must go through some growing pains to see their dreams come true. What would a story be without those pesky tribulations we all go through in real life. Great characters, believable scenes, a lot of drama, and intense kind of love.
This was everything I wanted it to be. It was gripping, it had tension, it had suspense, it had heartbreak, and it goes on my list of books I'd like to read again for the first time.
Siobhan has this ability to write characters that I fall head over heels for, and then she throws in something traumatic, breaks my heart, before slowly nurturing me back to sanity.
This fake relationship didn't stay fake for long, and the build-up to the moment it becomes real is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. She's falling, and he's falling, and there's all this falling, and one says they're falling, and the other says they agreed no falling and there's a rift and then there's grovelling, which just hits the spot. And that's all before the heartbreak comes!
I felt so many emotions reading this and loved every page. This is another book I will recommend again and again.
Thank you to Siobhan for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! I was blown away by Never Stopped Loving You; it had all the angst and twists I didn't see coming that I love. Set in the same world as the All Of Me duet, it was nice to see a nod to some of the previous characters who had ripped my angst-loving heart out.
Callan is an aspiring soccer (football) player aiming to make it into the Irish Football League. He has just moved to a small town in America, where his good looks and Irish accent have all the girls drooling over him. Astrid lives across the street from Callan and has her own aspirations in interior design, so both are focused on their future goals and have sworn off relationships, which are just distractions from those goals.
The storyline is told in two parts: starting in their senior year of high school and college, and then eight years later. I highly recommend going into the story blind so the twists unfold naturally. Raw and gritty at times, I loved the perseverance of these characters. I am giving Never Stopped Loving You a rating of 4.5/5 stars.
Never Stopped Loving You HAS FINALLY FILLED THE VOID IVE HAD SINCE Say I’m The One! It wrecked me in the best way. This emotional, angsty second-chance romance hits SO HARD — first love, heartbreak, closure, and that ache you never knew could still be there years later.
This book had all sorts of goodies: fake dating, first love, devastating heartbreak, hard-earned reunion. The chemistry was slow, real, and deeply emotional, and the truth about what tore them apart had me gasping.
If you love soul-deep second-chance romance with love that truly never dies, this one will steal your heart (and leave you reaching for tissues). DON’T START IT LATE AT NIGHT!! IM STILL RECOVERING FROM THR LOSS OF SLEEP!
Received an ARC of this book and I was so excited. The All of Me series if one of my top 5 favorite reads of all time, so when I was chosen to receive an ARC for a Siobhan Davis book I fangirled a bit, I may have even screamed a little...lol.
Never Stopped Loving You has all of the same feels! Angst, young love, drama, rage, sadness, romance (seriously where are these guys?). I also love when I learn something new in a book, I can now say cuss words in Swedish...LOL! I really did love this story and would probably have finished it in a day or two if I didn't have to work. Plus it's so much read, you want to give it your full attention and it's a LOT of story. I'd love to see a physical copy cuz I bet she's THICK!
Woah!! Just freaking woah! Thiswas my first read from this author and will definitely not be the last.
The villain of this story isn’t someone you will think of at once but will have you in such a rage it’s not even funny. Without giving anything away you need to dig into this book to find out what I mean.
This book is a freaking roller coaster ride of emotions for sure, I loved reading the build up with Astrid and Callan as well as the people around them from an early age. Their chemistry and connection was out of this world and I was rooting for them sense day one. It was along journey for them but I was so happy on the end that they had the HEA they truly deserved after everything that had been going on for them.
I was lucky enough to get to read this as an ARC! It was so good as all her books it was written so well and the story line was so good! It was emotional, funny, serious everything I want in a book!
Siobhan Davis knows how to write a love story that spans years and gives readers emotional depth, has plot twists, and still contains passion, friendship, heartbreak, and so much more. Never Stopped Loving You is that love story as I was riveted and glued to my kindle for this angsty, emotional, true love romance.
Astrid does not have boys on her never ending to-do list her senior year, but when the Hunt family moves in next door she can't help but offer a hand. Astrid has a bleeding heart for those in need, but even more so, her future dream is to be an interior designer so helping the Hunts redesign their home is a dream in the making, and befriending Callan was a bonus she didn't expect. When he asks for a favor, one that would appear to help them both, her only hesitation is the worry of losing her heart to a boy who says he doesn't plan to stay past graduation.
Callan Hunt's family moves to America in his senior year of high school. Not exactly every teenager's dream. 🥺 Especially one who has professional soccer - or football ⚽️- in his sights. That is truly his only focus, which seems further away now that he's starting over with a new team and in a new country. Everything is just too much...except Astrid, the girl next door who creeps into his heart. She calms his soul in a way that only playing on the pitch ever has. When every girl sets her sights on Callan, and he's made it very clear he only has his sights set on soccer, he turns to the one girl he knows will help him out, Astrid. However, Callan never meant to fall for her, since he was never planning to stay, but as time passes he begins to wonder if it's possible to have the girl and his dreams.
Callan and Astrid fall for one another so naturally, it's organic and first love at its best. It's the beautiful first moments that pulled out my own memories of falling for the first time. All the butterflies, sweet kisses, hand touches, and stolen moments. The perfect person that will forever be by your side...sadly until the world falls out from beneath their feet. It's this heartbreak that dug deep into my soul and catapulted me back to my youth, back to my first heartbreak and my empathy soared to the skies with the deep ache in my heart that both Callan and Astrid felt. It was visceral because these two loved so hard and deep. And yes, it hit my own memories hard, but I loved how much these characters affected me that it stirred those decades old emotions. If you take nothing else away from this review, it's this...Never Stopped Loving You is a book that will pull you in, wring out all of your emotions, and capture your heart. It's that good.🥰
This is a big book packed with a lot of big emotions and tough topics, but everything is written with care and wasn't dropped in just for shock value. And what I appreciate most, besides a wonderful happy ending, is that by the end every question is answered, every T is crossed, and all potential plot holes are filled. It all makes me a very happy reader which is why Siobhan is allowed to rip my heart out and mend it back together with her beautiful stories and hard fought couples.❤️
As an avid reader, I love being swept away by the magic of a good book. If we're lucky, we find authors & stories that complete captivate us readers with their stories, Siobhan Davis is that author for me.
As per usual she has once again weaved her magic & exceeded all my expectations. Siobhan Davis never fails to deliver an outstanding book. She never disappoints, she delivers again & again. I was drawn-in, captivated , intrigued & completely invested in this very dramatic romance. I was completely immersed in Never stopped loving you from start to finish.
You want angst? You want a love story that spans a lifetime?! Here it is.
Callen only has one passion in life & that’s football. His dream is to play professionally, to be signed to an English premier league club until his Dad gains a promotion & relocate his family from Kilcoole, Ireland (IYKYK 😉) to the US. Callen is so deeply unhappy as he didn’t want to leave Ireland, fearing his future dreams were being crushed. Until he meets his new neighbour Astrid.
Astrid is such a likeable character, shes kind, caring & sees the good in everyone. Shes a little naive at times. Her sole focus is on her studies, dreaming of becoming an interior designer. Both are focused on their own goals, neither one needs distractions their senior year so decide to ‘fake date’ but destiny has other plans & they can’t deny the invisible thread that pulls them together. Until outside force ultimately tear them apart from one another.
Fast forward several years & fate brings them face to face. Astrid is no longer the innocent, naive teenager. She’s now a successful interior designer. I’m not going to say more, this is one of those stories that you feel, becoming swept away in the emotions. Callan & Astrids journey to HEA was full of spicy twists and gripping turns that kept me captivated from start to finish.
They tugged my heart strings from the opening pages, it was just so beautifully written. loved the characters, the setting and the storyline. The Liverpool FC & Steven Gerrard references was also a big plus from so, so from one red fan to another YNWA 🔥⚽️🔥
Siobhan’s is known for her REMARKABLE stories and I recommend every one of them, however, this book unbelievably pierces you to the core of your soul. Her ability to write something as beautiful as this is truly breathtaking.
This is a an exquisite story about finding your first love, the intense consuming love that completely takes over your entire body. It tugged my heart strings from the opening pages, to the very last page & everything in between
I also loved these character's transformations throughout their journey.
In my opinion Siobhan Davis is the Queen ~ I'm just going to say this, if Siobhan writes it, I'm going to devour it. Never stopped Loving you is full of emotion, angst. Siobhan delivers a heart-wrenching, second-chance, friends-to-lovers romance.
Between the lust, the betrayal, the pain & heartbreak, the strength to survive, the pain, the intrigue, That was one roller coaster I didn't want to get off.
Get ready to experience the full spectrum of emotions as you journey through betrayal & lies that will tear them apart, only to discover that fate has a way of healing itself from the past.
So grab your tissues, settle in, & prepare to be utterly blown away by this deeply moving and unforgettable tale.
Callan & Astrid created a worldwind of emotions. Tears were shed more than once as I absorbed every second of this love story. Their journey to HEA was full of spicy twists and gripping turns that kept me captivated from start to finish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I will only have one girlfriend in my life – the woman I’m going to marry.”
Never Stopped Loving You by Siobhan Davis is an absolute emotional roller coaster, but so worth it in the end. Callan has been forced to move from Ireland to Ryemont with his family and is new to town. Once word gets around that there is a new hot Irish soccer player, all the girls surround him and all he wants to do is focus on soccer. Astrid is born and raised in Ryemont, and when she meets Callan at school the chemistry is instant. They also happen to be neighbors, and their families hit it off. Astrid only wants to focus on her studies and wants no distractions her senior year of high school, namely no guys. They decide to fake date each other to get the cheerleaders to stop bugging Callan, and Astrid’s ex-boyfriend to stop bothering her. Fake dating slowly becomes a beautiful relationship between them and they both recognize that they have true feelings for each other – cue the kicking and screaming because they are absolutely adorable together and Callan is an amazing boyfriend.
“Pretending with her is as natural as breathing.”
Their relationship is not without its bumps, but they remain strong until college when everything changes. Callan finally achieves his dream of becoming a professional footballer for a team in London. Astrid decides she will follow Callan to London, but things take a turn for the worse due to unforeseen forces tearing them apart. These unforeseen forces will hit you in the gut, the turmoil and emotions that both Callan and Astrid go through is so much. I absolutely sobbed through this part, and am so glad Siobhan decided to make this a chonky book because we get to dive right into part 2 and fast forward to 8 years later.
“It was always supposed to be me.”
8 years later, Astrid is engaged to another Irish guy, Sean, and has finally put the pieces of her life back together… or so she thinks. Astrid is basically forced back to Ryemont, which she left and never went back after the events that happened that tore her heart out. Little does she know she is about to run into Callan for the first time in 8 years, and Callan is ready to tell his side of the story.
“No matter what the future holds, know you are always a part of it, and my heart will forever belong to you. Don’t ever forget.”
This part of the story is where my heart was absolutely ripped to shreds and slowly mended back together piece by piece. I’m currently holding back tears just writing this, which shows how much emotion and hurt Callan and Astrid go through to find their way back to one another and get their HEA. The ending was in short perfect. I finished this book days ago, and it has been in my mind ever since then.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I give it all the stars) Spice: 🌶️🌶️ - The spice that is in the story definitely adds to the story and is not written just for the sake of adding spice. Siobhan knows how to write spice too.
As with any book, please check TRIGGER warnings!
Thank you Siobhan Davis and The Author Agency for the eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Siobhan Davis takes readers on a journey of when perfect love goes wrong in Never Stopped Loving You for a powerful and emotional story.
Callum Hunt carried a world of anger in him as he felt that his parent's move to the US from Ireland derailed his dreams of being a professional soccer player. Focused and diligent in his training, the last thing Callum expected or wanted was to be drawn to a girl.
Astrid Nevans was a rare beauty but while her physical appeal attracted people to her it was her kindness that kept their interest. An aspiring interior designer, the future looked bright for Astrid.
As Callum and Astrid's innocent and starry eyed infatuation evolved into love it was not without growing pains. Immaturity and vulnerability went hand and hand in this courtship but it never undermined the potential for a lasting love for this couple. This author used age appropriate insecurities to move this story forward as the characters worked through them testing their love and growing it into one to stand the test of time. Callum and Astrid often got bogged down in miscommunication and assumptions as well as decisions made with good intentions but without weighing the consequences. This work was a testament of the strength of love in adverse situations and the ability to move on from the past.
One of the things that stood out in this work was how flaws were not always seen negatively but as a sign of being human. This writer presented raw and exposed portrayals that muddled through the self doubt of being young and finding their way as individuals and as a couple. Making mistakes and working things out, showing their perseverance and proving the depth of their love as well as sacrificing for love all came into play in this relationship's evolution..
Siobhan Davis took on a monumental feat in Never Stopped Loving You as she developed her characters and a love story that spanned over a decade fraught with yearning and drama. With a quiet build up of subtle hints that manifested in the most explosive way this author artfully captured her audience's attention. Ms. Davis rebuilt from the wreckage of the first half of this book with sensitivity and compassion as she navigated the aftermath of her heartbreaking twist on when bad things happen to good people for a well deserved happily ever after. This author's brutal honesty in showing her portrayals, recognition of their limitations and ability to move past issues was emotional to watch play out.
Siobhan Davis continues to show that she is a writer who deserves her recognition as a go-to author. This writer's command of her characters and complex plots puts her in a league of her own. Difficult subject matter is always handled eloquently and with sensitivity by her. Siobhan Davis' Never Stopped Loving you might just break your heart but rest assured this author knows how to rebuild it for an emotional and lingering read.
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
Do you have a group of authors that are your go-to? The ones that you read and reread their books a million times? The ones that never write a bad book? Siobhan Davis is one of those for me! Never Stopped Loving you is classic Siobhan Davis. It takes you down every single emotion. You laugh, you cry, you hurt. The connections are deep and passionate, the hurt is raw and real, the characters are vulnerable and the spice is red hot as always!
Astrid Nevan’s senior year is mapped out down to the minute, and nowhere on her list is falling for a boy. She has plans to become an interior designer. This girl is everything good. She is so kind and caring and selfless. And innocent. What she doesn’t expect is meeting her new Irish neighbor Callan. Callan Hunt never wanted to leave home. Moving in his senior year, dragged across the ocean when all he wants is to prepare to be scouted to the Premier League. And he’s so angry. Soccer—football—isn’t just a sport to him. It’s his future. His escape. His identity. Befriending him starts innocently enough, her helping with the interior design of his parents’ home, but they both realize quickly what a connection as friends they have which they both start feeling turning into more. She brings him peace and calm. So, when fake dating comes into to play, it seems like it can work. The only thing holding her back is the fear of giving her heart to a boy who has already promised he won’t stay. It’s just so natural and they fall headfirst. BUT, it couldn't just end that way. When they are forced apart by outside forces, you can truly feel the heartbreak and the spiral these two go through. Years later, fate throws Callan and Astrid back together—but this time, she’s engaged to someone else. Realizing he’s truly lost the love of his life, Callan finally reveals the truth about what tore them apart years ago. UGH! It was pure and utter heartbreak! And seeing how deeply it all impacted them both was heartbreaking! But in the end, these two find their way back to a soul deep love forever!
Read this book! It will take you on a journey of every single emotion! And some plot twists you didn't even see coming! Rate:5 /5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 3/5🌶️🌶️🌶️

🩷Thank you to Siohbhan Davis and The Author Agency for my arc!
Siobhan Davis, is known for her emotionally charged romances, and delivers another powerful story in Never Stopped Loving You. This angsty, second-chance romance centres on Astrid and Callan, two teenagers that are navigating the complexities of love, ambition, and heartbreak.
Astrid, mature beyond her years yet naive in some ways, is focused on her final year of high school and her passion for interior design. She’s uninterested in romance, until Callan’s family moves in next door. Their friendship develops naturally as Astrid helps redecorate his home.
Callan, a driven football (soccer) player, is initially resistant to the move across the pond, longing to return home for better opportunities. His senior year is all about football, and he’s determined to avoid distractions. Yet, Astrid becomes the exception, and their relationship deepens in unexpected ways, with Astrid becoming his anchor, the one who quiets the noise in his life.
The narrative beautifully explores how their relationship grows, only to be tested by life’s harsh realities. Plans for the future are shattered, and the pain they both endure is palpable. Siobhan masterfully weaves themes of manipulation, lies, and emotional resilience throughout the story. Something she in an expert in. The hurt Astrid and Callan experience doesn’t fade with time; when they reunite years later, old wounds resurface, and the truth finally comes to light.
Sensitive topics are handled with care and respect, adding depth and realism to the plot. The portrayal of Callan’s struggles and his journey toward healing is particularly moving, highlighting strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
Supporting characters, including meddling mothers and a tight knit group of friends, enrich the story, offering both relief and unwavering support. The manipulation by a certain character adds layers of intrigue and tension, keeping readers invested from start to finish. I knew right from the beginning there was something off about this character and they really irked me right the way through.
Overall, Never Stopped Loving You is a gripping, emotional rollercoaster. This is a testament to Siobhan’s talent for writing angst-filled, heartfelt romances. It’s a story about love, loss, and the courage to face the truth, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.

OH MY LANTA‼️. This book was pushing 700 and i just completely devoured it in like a day. It was just so good. This book for me, wasn’t a book that made me cry but i still felt everything in my heart and the up and down roller coaster of emotions man it’s a ringer to your heart… I was so angry.
Callan Hunt has just been forced to relocate to Vermont from Ireland when his father gets a promotion. Callan did not want the move as he has dreams and the talent to be a professional footballer ( soccer) and it just isn’t the same here in the USA. He has never let anyone or anything get in the way of those goals until he met Astrid Nevan.
Astrid Nevan is similar to Callan in that she knows what she wants to do. She has already started working towards her career aspirations to be an interior designer and after her most recent breakup, is focusing on that. Meeting Callan Hunt wasn’t in her plans and definitely throws her world off its axis.
This book is set into 2 parts. The first part they are in high school and have to navigate not only high school drama, friendships, and relationships but future plans as well. One particular friend, whom, i personally couldn’t stand her character.
But what they never expect was an outsider to be the one that tears everything apart.
Part two is 10 years later both are settled in their new lives. Fate has brought them both back to Vermont. All the old feelings come back to the surface for both of them, only Astrid is now engaged to a Billionaire CEO.
Will Callam and Astrid have their second chance when the truth comes out about what happened? The truth… that was such a bombshell and the interconnected character to another story… i never saw that coming at all. Siobhan has always liked to throw a little twist.
This one really got me in my feels after everything played out. This book, well It makes you believe in soulmates and HEA and everything in between.
Whatever review I give this book, it will not fully articulate all the things I want to convey that would truly do it justice.
The story of Astrid and Callan is a true love story. Callan is torn from his home in Ireland where he’s so close to signing with a Premiere League football team when he’s transplanted in Vermont. He struggles with his new life until he meets Astrid, who happens to be his neighbor. These two equally have goals and neither is focusing on a relationship until they find their attraction is more than surface level. There is quite a bit of the book spent on their high school years, but only so that the reader gets a strong sense that these two are more than your high school crush. They are the exception to every high school relationship making plans for a future together and working through any obstacle put in their path. Their lives and their families become so intertwined it really adds extra to their developing love story. They each find their individual dreams coming true and just when you think all plans are coming to fruition, their plans are derailed in a major way forcing them apart.
When Callan and Astrid are forced apart by external forces, you can truly feel the heartbreak and the spiral these two go through that you just can’t help feeling all that emotion. It broke my heart and utterly shattered it, not to mention I wanted to throw my kindle several times. Astrid must find a way to put all the hurt behind her. You truly feel her struggle in the years she and Callan are apart. But she was strong and put one foot in front of the other to truly fund her healing.
Years later, Callan and Astrid are thrown together through unforeseen circumstances, but this time Astrid is engaged to another man. Callan realizes he’s never going to get the love of his life back and decides to come clean about what really tore them apart all those years ago. I was not expecting all that was revealed. It added extra angst to their story and the realization that they never stopped loving each other. To read how Callan was impacted by what happened shattered me.
It takes time, but these two do find their HEA. Their reconnecting was utter perfection!!! At 93%, I’ve never read a more beautiful, captivating, emotional and intimate scene in a book. It is in this moment, Callan and Astrid are on the road to healing from their forced separation. There is a surprise plot twist that I did not see coming!! OMG, there’s a huge connection in this book that took me by surprise!
Callan and Astrid’s love story was not your ordinary love story. It was powerful, soul deep, healing and eternal. I’d give this 10 stars if I could.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I am so glad I read this book because it took all my willpower away. The things that occur in this book is beyond sad and devastating and to have to restructure your whole life because of things that happened and should not have happened.
FMC and MMC meet while in high school and what started off as a platonic friendship, turn fake relationship to real relationship was great. They were head over heels for each other and were planning their future together and were both going to be living in London and he would be a professional soccer player while she continued with her studies, but then tragedy strikes and blows everything right out the window and hearts are shattered.
The FMC moves far away to not have to ever see the MMC again and they don't see each other again until 8 years later. He tries to explain to her what really happened but she's beyond mad and can't seem to get over it. She is trying to be civil but can't talk to him about the past. She's engaged and ready to marry another man who helped restore her worth, but did he? She realizes that her husband to be is really not who she thought he was and she needs to decide whether she wants to marry him or try and see what the MMC has to explain to her and see if it is worth forgiving.
I loved this book so much. A lot happened between the characters and the side characters were evil as sin and some really good ones too. It really took a lot out of me when I finished this book and I couldn't stop thinking about the events that took place, and what the characters went through. Siobhan Davis is my queen of angst and she shatters me every single time. I should know to expect it but she knows how to make all those little twists and turns that plunge the knife right into your heart.
4.5stars-NEVER STOPPED LOVING YOU by Siobhan Davis is a stand alone, contemporary, adult romance story line focusing on soccer player turned architect Callan Hunt, and interior designer Astrid Nevan.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Callan and Astrid) covering approximately thirteen years (ages 17-30), NEVER STOPPED LOVING YOU focuses on the building relationship and the fall out between our story line couple. Callan Hunt and his family moved from Ireland in Callan’s final year of high school, and our hero never intended to stay in America for very long but Callan would meet the only woman to steal his heart, a woman he would destroy with the demons from his past.
The world building covers thirteen years of young love, appalling betrayal, madness and fear as our couple make promises for the future but a future that will wiped out with a single phone call. Eight years will pass before our couple will once again come face to face, eight years in which life would never be the same for Callan or Astrid.
The relationship between Callan and Astrid begins as friendship turned into a fake relationship that will quickly develop into something more but betrayal will come at a cost, and Callan and Astrid are pulled apart by madness and jealousy. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of energetic, lively, determined and often questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to both Callan and Astrid’s immediate families,as well as close friends, classmates and mean girls, teammates, fellow employees, and ultimate betrayers.
NEVER STOPPED LOVING YOU is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power ans control, madness and murder, family and friendships, forgiveness and love. The slow building premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is fated and flawed; the characters are desperate, dynamic and broken.
Callan Hunt was Astrid's new neighbor, the hot Irish guy, a star footballer, and for her, life-changing. He arrived with a bad attitude and wasn't looking to stay in America, much less looking for love, but there was something irresistible about Astrid. Astrid had dreams for her future. She wanted a career in interior design; a boyfriend wasn't a priority. But she couldn't get him out of her mind. Call it destiny or divine intervention, but love had its way. Astrid and Callan were written in the stars. So, when scouts came calling for Callan, it looked as if their dreams were coming true. Until they weren't. It took Astrid years to find her way out of heartache, and when she has a second chance at HEA, Callan reappears. Now he wants her to know the truth. Now he wants her back.
"Books are mirrors; you only see in them what you already have inside you." - Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I'm not sure this quote has ever been more apt about my reaction to a book. I adored Astrid and Callan. I also have never been more frustrated by the behavior of two characters. I screamed aloud at times. I was ready to write off characters, relationships, and entire towns while reading this. If angst and emotional turmoil are what you are looking for in a book, this is a must-read.
Soulmates + Betrayal - Communication = Heartache. This is a story of right person, right time, wrong outcome. Siobhan outdid herself. Her characters never follow fictional rules or formulas. They infuriate, worry, and vex me, break my heart, and ultimately enchant me. This isn't to say that I don't call for their death multiple times in this book. It's a riveting story. The depth of the writing will keep you enthralled. Astrid and Callan's journey isn't an easy affair. There's bitterness with the joy. Be prepared to shed a few tears, heartbreak, and anger, before the happy tears return. It is Siobhan Davis, after all.
Thank you Siobhan for a chance to review an e-ARC! I fear this book will put me into a slump because it was THAT good!
- Second Chance - Childhood Friends to Lovers to Enemies - Fake Dating - Next Door Neighbours - Time Jump - “meant to be”
5/5 stars with 3/5 steam.
When Callan moves to a little town in the US from Ireland, he is mad. At 17YO, he has soccer career goals that he now has to restart again in the US. Because of this, he doesn’t want to be there. But that all changes when he realises who lives next door.
Astrid is the quiet shy girl. She rather be in the shadows than in the spotlight. But being Swedish & beautiful, the “popular girls” have easy jealousy with her. And when the new popular guy shows interest in her, this makes the “popular girls” mad. And surprisingly, it also makes her best friend: Gwen jealous too. But as Astrid gets to know the popular boy & boy next door, she finds herself crushing on him. However with Callan wanting to focus on his soccer career, he doesn’t want any girl attention & proposes they “fake date” to get everyone off their back.
As Astrid & Callan “fake date”, Astrid’s crush turns into more. And it’s obvious that Callan is falling for her right back. Until she asks him to date officially & Callan freaks out. Only to come back a week later & confess he’s truly in love with her too. They then become the “it” couple.
As they go off to college, they keep planning their future together. Till one night ruins it all. Leaving Astrid heart broken & Callan boycotted and alone in London.
Fast forward 8 years and Astrid is engaged to her billionaire boss. She still will always love Callan but he’s in her past. Until he isn’t.
This is a chunky read as we read from them being 17YO to 30YO. I loved it. I loved reading about their love growing naturally and I cried when they cried. I smiled when they smiled. I finished the book 24 hours ago & I’m still thinking about it.
This was an emotional rollercoaster that I would ride again and again.
Siobhan never falls to get me fully invested in the characters and story only to throw an absolutely heartachingly traumatic wrench in the whole thing before she eventually get us back to a well earned HEA.
Her stories also never fail to keep me on my toes, feels like walking on an emotional tightrope that I could fall from at any point - which I know is an odd way of describing a book but its good I promise, IYKYK.
I am completely obsessed with this book, forewarning it is THICK (like nearly 700 hundred pages) but as someone who loves long love stories with all the emotional angst and growth I devoured it. Admittedly from the blurb this story wasn't exactly as I expected but I quite liked that actually.
It so very difficult to talk about this book without spoiling it - however if you love angst and books that tear your heart apart, you will really enjoy this one. It also had such an incredible plot that I would describe as adjacent to the love story that had me completely and utterly hooked.
If your current reads haven't made you FEEL anything and you are looking for a little pain and emotional anguish than you should absolutely check this one out.
Also if you were a fan of either Say I'm The One or The One I Want by Siobhan Davis I have no doubt that you will really enjoy this one.
With Siobhan you know you can always expect a well-written and captivating story and this one might just be my favourite work of hers yet.

Thank you to Siohbhan Davis and The Author Agency the ARC!
*sidenote Siobhan I am begging you to not use the word mushrooming anymore please.
"But it’s clear that ship has sailed, and I won’t do anything to cause her more pain." Yeah, but definitely ME!!!
I'm not fine!!! I'm so NOT fine! And I'm sure I won't be fine for a long time 😭💔
Did I expect anything less? No! I knew I would end up crying for hours. And I also knew I HAD to read this book. Because I just love Siobhan's books. She can't do anything wrong. And that's why this book is just perfect.
Will I find the right words? No! Definitely not. But I'll it.
Callen and Astrid are so perfect for each other. They are so similar. They both know exactly what they want in life and work very hard for it. Except for Callan's diet plan and Astrid's cake addiction 🤣 Callan is so different from the typical jocks. He is way too ambitious to be one.
I loved how important friendship is in this book. How strong they are together. And they had to go through a lot of 💩 Especially the one thing. I hate when I want to scream about something. To let out all my fury, all my rage 😱🤬 but obviously I can't because I'll never spoil anything! But holy freaking 💩 It's so extreme. Believe me, you'll scream too! And you want to become a 🔪🔫☠️ When you've read the book, or even while you read it and need to talk, feel free to DM me. I'm here for you. I know how you feel, and I luckily had a friend by my side, too 🩷
But the book also has so many beautiful things too 😊
One of my favorite parts was definitely Callan's bathroom 🤣 It so brought back memories of my first apartment... 🙈
And Callan trying to learn Swedish. Of course, only the bad words. 😉
Thanks to the author and Midnight Readers PR for trusting me with an ARC 🩷
