Christmas – the busiest time of the year! And on top of everything, Jillian is throwing an engagement party for two dear friends. But on a final errand before the party begins Jillian witnesses a horrific car crash. She and Teddy pull a survivor from the wreckage, and together they attempt to solve the mystery of the amnesia victim, a 17-year-old boy she and Teddy take under their wing. When Jillian stumbles across a mysterious compound, she is determined to unlock old family secrets to solve the mystery of the boy's identity even though taking the risk creates the ultimate test for her and Teddy's survival.
From the Clutches of Evil is a Christmas story about an amnesiac teenager and captured my interest at once. It kept me wondering who the boy was and how he was connected all the way through. The ending was a nail biter and the true meaning of the title becomes clear as the case is resolved. Great read at Christmas or anytime of the year!
An adventure with Jillian Bradley and her Yorkie Teddy. This takes place at Christmas and is filled with secrets and evil, but another page turner for the reader. I enjoyed going for the ride!
**Note: This is a Christian Fiction book.** **Holiday Themed story.**
This is the second book I've read in this series. Again, I am not a Christian, but I enjoyed this book more than the first one I read in the series. I glossed over the religious parts, and if you are like me and do the same, you will enjoy it as much as I did. I think of this book reading much like an update "Leave It To Beaver," as the feeling is mostly all happy-happy and Jillian is always upright and proper; with the feeling that all Christian are like her. (And sometimes a feeling that only Christian are upright and good....but that's by own perception.)
Again, the dog stole the show. A pet always adds to a story line.
Typos and grammatical errors, but very limited. And the story was shorter (or at least written tighter,) than first book I read. It won;t be everyone cup o' tea, as it is very vanilla in the cozy mystery department, but I wasn't upset I wasted the time to read it.
Jillian Bradley, the heroine in the Series, becomes guardian to a young teen after an accident leaves him with amnesia and his female companion dead. An implanted chip in the young man pushes Jillian to discover who her houseguest is and why no one has filed a missing person's report. Plenty of rest is prescribed for Luke, the temporary name given the young man and with around the clock nursing, Jillian is given the freedom to put her listening ear to good use. A fun cozy mystery, I highly recommend this book.
