An action-packed Apocalyptic System LitRPG for fans of Primal Hunter, Apocalypse Tamer, and Defiance of the Fall!
Noah thrives on battle. He won’t stop until he’s the strongest around. When the System Administrators arrived on Earth, they forced those of the younger generation into other worlds to fight for multiversal entertainment. Bored of life on Earth, Noah has trained to become one of the chosen. He even had his class all planned out – a Mounted Monster Tamer.
But he was never picked. So he put matters into his own hands and volunteered.
Arriving in a world thick with jungle and hotter than the most boiling desert, Noah finds himself face-to-face with a kobold, which he proceeds to beat into submission and turn into a minion.
In this realm where both humans and monsters wish to tear him apart, Noah doesn’t just want to survive.
He wants to thrive.
In this place, he’ll become king.
Volunteering himself into a new world with stats, levels, and a promise of power, Noah finds himself in a race against thousands in this LitRPG Apocalypse Adventure from FreeiD. With a unique spin featuring tamed monsters that grow and evolve alongside Noah, becoming a cruial part of his strength.
Sorry Author, Not for me. I actually never bothered to try and finish it. Quit it shortly after the main character got his first minion. Felt too much like THE HUNGER GAMES, and I was bored, and the story wasn't really making any kind of sense to me.
I hope other readers liked this better than I did.
This book has many great things going for it. I struggled between 3 and 4 stars because I feel deeply that the main character has thick plot armor. Suffering feels meaningless when he constantly has a health potion. I'm looking forward to what's next in the series, but if it continues where the main character just wins battles over and over again and everything always goes his way, I'll drop it quickly.
Ended up going 4 stars because the plot is promising.

Author is sloppy. System spear or handmade? Gets stamina potions then buys stamina potions and never uses any. Challenge quest for 20 [thrust] then never counts, level 18x2 is not 32, etc. Author is confusing. Why have a system quest if you aren’t going to count them? Why include things that you don’t care about? We readers care. Overall good book with excellent action, adventure, and characters. Minus a star for sloppy confusing.
Pretty good first in a series. It has a common enough theme, in that a character gets portaled to another world, then that character has to grow and survive. Only thing is, this guy wasn't taken from his home, he voluntarily jumped into a portal meant for one of his friends. The friend gets to go home, and he gets to go adventuring, which is something he's been planniing for since before he was of age to go through a portal. It shows in his preparedness, even though it's difficult to prepare. It's a very well done piece of the LitRPG genre, and I'd expect many LitRPG fans will enjoy this one.
This book was recommended to me, and I'm glad I picked it up. It's a wonderfully written tale. I absolutely love Taming novels and the fact that Noah took that path made me really excited to continue to read it. I like your take on the whole otherworldly adventurer novel. I can't wait to read Book 2. Also, Krall the Scourge of the Jungle is awesome. He's become of of my favorite tamed monster characters.
I really don't know how much I liked this book... the beginning was awesome and there's plenty of good stuff that I loved, starting with a MC that I mostly enjoyed, but he sorely lacked people skills, and didn't try to improve. I loved his Beast Companion though. And there was enough action to make my heart sing 🎶. But something just didn't quite click for me, prolly his people skills. So yeah I guess that settles it, it's 4⭐'s But Pavi Proczko is as fantastic as evarrr!!!
It was just ok if you view it from the viewpoint of it being a YA novel. A simplistic story that spoon feeds the MC anything he needs upon thinking it no matter how dumb. A tamer class that doesn't really tame anything. The whole everything is entertainment and I need sponsors was not very well done. Pair that with little to no character development and you get a book that has a great cover and nothing else.
This is one that I know I've read, every page is familiar. However I can't recall many details and have zero idea where or when I read this book. I just know that I have. I'm giving it four stars because I can't remember any problems with the story either. I need book two.
This was interesting, and the first part I got a Hunger Games vibe with him volunteering for his friend to go to the new world to fight and survive for the entertainment of others. It was interesting that our MCs pet was a Kobold, which in most games and book is a sentient race. An his juvenile companion. This was a very enjoyable story, and I hope there is more to come.
Okay. I did like this book. It was well written, and there are quite a few laugh out loud parts.
The problem is that the characters are not likable, like at all. It might just be the first book, but holy hell, they are hard to pull for. Of course, this might just be a me thing. So take it with a grain, or truckload, of salt.
Worth the read! Refreshing take on the genre. It has been a while since I have enjoyed a book in the genre this much at the start. Looking forward to more!
The book moved along at a steady pace. The MC is quirky and likable. He is always prepared to be challenged. And good quick paced read. MC reminds me of MC from Hell Tutorial.
This was fun. I particularly enjoyed Noah’s uncommon path choice and the system’s usage of pathstones to determine someone’s class and skills. The story itself while rather simple was well done and enjoyable.
This novel manages to hit all the tropes while still staying interesting and unique . Court is still out on whether I actually like or hate Noah but I'll definitely pick up book two
Really nice book. There was never a time when I felt forced to read the book. I don’t feel like I have to read the next book but I look forward to reading it.
Well, some of the name coming from the previous series also by the same author. The story quite light to the point you would know the plot by just read the bold (emphasize one).
