I got this board book to help my grandson with his colors. I find that he really responds well to these touch and feel books. They are interactive and give us something to talk about beyond just reading the text.
I expected that the pages of this book would just have blobs of color but was happily surprised to see that the illustrations are animals of different colors. Some make sense like the yellow duck and the green frog. Others are more imaginative like the green bear and the blue elephant.
Learn colors, animals, and textures in this touch and feel book. Yellow lion, soft yellow duck. Green bear, bumpy green frog. Blue elephant, shimmery (bumpy) fish. Red cat, fluffy red bird. Yellow, green, blue, and red sparkley (shiny/reflective) butterfly. My 15 month old and I like this a lot. Aside from the corrections of texture description that I made in parenthesis, I have no complaints.
Good for little kids to experience colors and textures. It's a little simple for my taste, but it you like few words (and only concepts) for your toddler, it's great.
