An informative non-fiction text (32 pages) for primary age children. I've read it several times with my 3 year old, who loves vehicles. Filled with illustrations and diagrams (no photographs), and small chunks of text which allow me to pick and choose what to point out and read to my child. Lots of interesting details - I have now learned a lot more than I ever wanted to know about tractors!
This was a great book for explaining farm equipment - what it looks like and what it does. It includes blow-up images so you can see what goes on inside the machines as well.
I think this is a great book for introducing folks, especially young ones, to farm equipment. The descriptions are complete but in simple language that is easy to understand. And, thanks to the descriptions and the images of the internal workings, it also gives readers a very basic introduction to basic engineering and physics.
