After the attack at the Yule Ball, the Council (aka my mother, Head B*tch Lucille Rostoff Drew herself) locked the entire population of Capital Prep down while they investigate.
Keeping a magical rebellion secret isn’t easy, I guess.
Cori and Rufus are holed up with their honeys in the secret townhouse lair, so I’m left to soak up the attention of my five unbelievably hot and devoted boyfriends.
What’s bunny to do when the snow falls and traps us in our cocoon?
Relish every single second, that’s what.
Happy New Year to me.

I thought this was the last book of the series since it said book 4 out of 4 books but it’s more of a filler while they are on Christmas break. There wasn’t much in it really. Just them spending time together in and out of the bedroom. Now I’m really glad each of the first 3 books at the start had a reminder of what happened in the previous books as they are really large compared to a normal series, that are max 300 hundred pages and book 2 and 3 were like 600-700 pages. This one said it was 149 pages but it ended at 75%. I wanted to see the smack down with professor Rockwell, and I wanted to see more of Dolly standing up to her mother Lucille. Cant wait for the next book of the series.
Snowed in with five deliciously devoted boyfriends? Yes, please. ❄️🔥
This Capital Prep holiday novella gave me everything I wanted: steamy moments, cozy vibes, and a found family that made my heart and my Kindle melt. Dolly and her guys are absolute perfection and each of them bring out a different side of her bunny energy. 🐇💋
✨ What to Expect: 🎄 Reverse Harem (one bunny, five men… chef’s kiss) 🔥 Spicy snowed-in tension 💀 Magical rebellion scheming in the background ❤️ Found family feels 🖤 Flirty, fun, and unputdownable
There’s no villain crashing the party here, just Dolly’s horde soaking up every second of their magical winter cocoon. The perfect little treat before we dive back into the chaos of Apex Academy Capers.
📖 If you loved Zodiac Academy, Royals of Villain Academy, or Fate Hollow vibes, this novella will leave you feral for more.
🎀 “Relish every single second…” And trust me, I did.
The Story continues and the MC and her band continue to grow together. We learn more about each member and about the politics that have influenced shifters. Delores and her entourage are going to have to take on the Shifter Council to get changes made to shifter society. What about the magic using “rebels” or Delores’ awakening magic? Lots of questions.
Ok I love this almost as much I have the previous series of Ms. Featherstone that I read. ( still think Rogue is my fav) Dolly has made a lot of progress to who she is meant to be. Fitz is my favorite mmc in this series, I loved the crazy nicknames he comes up with for his people
A short novel in the Apex Academy series. It was Christmas in July reading this. Our bunny was able to spend quality time with her guys. Very cute addition and read.
As always very fun , this was a tease for the next book.
Our Del is coming along, growing and getting more sure of herself, the guys are building their relationship with her. I really can't wait to see where we are going!
I absolutely loved reading this Christmas in July novella. It indeed was a sweet tease for what yet to come in this amazing series. Looking forward to reuniting with Delores and her misfits. So looking forward to the next book in this series.
What I mean by that is that Dolly is finding herself and spreading her wings with the help of her guys. And they are all noticing that she gets everyone of them individually. She brings out the best in them. Can’t wait for the next book.
Loved getting this holiday snippet into my favorite found family, as they hunker down for a freak snowstorm. No bad guys coming at them or besties barging in during this story. It was just the Drew fluffle hanging out and enjoying themselves! I especially loved getting to peek into Aubrey’s horde!
Short but full of a lot of growth, this isn't a side story you can skip in the series, it adds to characters and world build as well as giving us more spice to dream about.
I love this series, and this is a super cute, snowed-in-type novella.
However...
Since it’s taking so many years to be completed—and there’s such a long gap between releases—I’ve had to reread the series every time a new book comes out.
I don't think this is to the author's benefit. Every time I reread, I notice more errors, plot holes, and annoyances.
👎 For instance, I didn’t realize until now that Dolly openly admits she’s not trustworthy in this book:
I probably look slightly abashed—he knew I’d tell Rufus and Cori even if I’m supposed to keep all of this a big secret.
‼️ She doesn't even feel bad that she would tell her friends everyone else's secrets—even when asked not to. That one line completely changed how I see her. Now I feel like the guys deserve better. Dolly obviously isn’t mature enough for a serious relationship.
When she was telling Rufus & Cori dangerous secrets about dragons & gargolyes in earlier books I was squirming uncomfortably because she was breaking Aubrey & Renard's trust... but I made excuses for her: she's naive, she doesn't know these things are secrets. She doesn't know telling people these things could put lives in danger. Now I know for sure that she knew exactly what she was doing. I can't make excuses for her anymore... and I'm disappointed.
I'm annoyed with myself for noticing this. I’d really like to just enjoy this series until it’s complete.
Anyway, I'm worried that I'll be burnt out of reading about Apex Academy before even getting a chance to finish the series. I've been struggling with this read-through.
