Now that they are home she is hoping her father will wake to help her and Trey discover who sabotaged their boat. As they work together Trey and Missy grow closer. Trey Book 28 of The K9 Files by Dale Mayer is another exciting read set in this series. A perfect amount of twists to keep you up reading much later than planned. I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Another exciting mystery in Dale Mayer's The K9 Files series. Kat loved matchmaking and Badger could see the gleam in her eyes, she had teamed up so many ex military personnel with their partners as the search for war dogs that have gone off the radar continues, her cupid's arrow is now pointing at Trey. Trey Dorchester had accepted the task of finding war dog Schooner, the only problem was that Schooner had been lost at sea, it did mean that Trey could have a long awaited visit with his brother Jackson and his sister in law, Elizabeth. Trey arrived in Maine to find that not only was Schooner missing at sea but also Vet, Silas Ragner who had taught Trey to fish and his daughter Missy who had just qualified and was joining her father in his practice. Trey was furious to find out that the search for them had been called off after a short while, the sheriff wasn't much help so Trey set off to find them, there were so many isolated islands and hidden coves but Trey had spent many hours at sea with Silas. Missy was so relieved to see Trey, her father was unconscious but it was what he said beforehand that worried Missy and Trey, thank goodness that Schooner's handler had been a survival specialist, his special talent had helped save their lives but who wanted them dead and Why ? This story has so many suspects each with their own agenda, Missy stands guard over her unconscious fathers hospital bed whilst Trey tries to unravel the clues and make sense of them. The author has written really likeable characters and as expected the pair fall gently in love. I am now looking forward to the next K9 story.

Missy feels like she has been waiting for weeks, waiting for rescue, waiting for her dad to die, then after a miraculous rescue waiting for him to wake up, waiting whilst Trey uncovers the threat, so much waiting and worrying. A twisted tale of greed and obsession shows that you never really know anyone... Trey returns to his home town and immediately does what the rescue teams failed to do, he finds Silas, Missy and Schooner - but did the rescue teams fail or were they purposely misdirected? Sabotage or bad luck? Attack or accident? There are no easy answers, limited evidence and very little help from local LEOs, not that Trey lets that stop him. He is determined to find out who tried to kill his childhood hero and why, and if he manages to win Missy's heart too? What a bonus! I love this series, Veterans helping Veterans to find a new life and new purpose is amazing, but to then go on a K9 mission and not only find the War Dog but also find their future, their forever, is awesome and secures this series as a firm favourite.
I really enjoyed reading Trey . This is the twenty ninth book in the K9 Files series . Trey is sent to his home town when a man Silas and his daughter Missy Ragner and their retired war dog Schooner were lost at sea during a storm . Trey arrives and quickly prepares to head out . He remembers a few fishing holes that he fished with Silas many years ago . With Luck on his side he Finds and rescues The three unfortunately Silas has been injured and has slipped into a coma . After talking with Missy he finds that their ship was sabotaged and they were left to die . Trey decides he will figure out who is behind it and get justice for Silas and Missy . Unfortunately they're not sure who they can trust . As Trey sticks close to Missy because they're still in danger . Trey and Missy 's attraction turns to feelings . This story is intriguing and suspenseful with a bit of romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Returning home for Trey sas always something to do but down the track. Being asked to find a war dog after he goes missing is something Trey can not say no to. Than finding out he was with a man who gave him time when he was young and that man's daughter is also missing. First arriving home and greeted by his sister-in-law who has a big surprise and seeing his brother is soul finding. Looking at what searching has been done and with the town giving up, Trey sets out. Using his pass adventure with Silas, Trey has the luck everyone else was missing. Getting them home, finding out this was a attempt on their lives, bring's Trey and Missy together. Working together they share their past and future dreams but can they solve what happen so they get a chance to provide an old man's dream of grandbabies? A great story.
An unusual, but also intense story. I felt Missy and Silas were in a deadly situation right from the beginning when they realized things were not all it appeared to be with the condition of the boat. I felt Missy’s anxiety and fear regarding her father’s injuries and their seemingly hopeless situation. I applauded Trey and his uncanny ability to find the two and get Silas to a hospital.
The story remains intense throughout because no one knows wh sabotaged Silas’ boat and why. They also haven’t learned if Missy was also a target and if she could still be in danger.
I just love Schooner and his ability to comprehend when he is needed, both for safety and for a big doggie hug.
This story moves right along with suspense and danger. It’s a heartfelt time for Missy and her father with a sweet HEA! Great story
The opportunity to return to his hometown allows Trey to reconnect with family and to ensure that Schooner, a K9, is found. When he arrives, he learns that it wouldn’t be as straightforward as he believes as Schooner isn’t the only one missing. Using his skills he can track down Missy, her father and Schooner but that is only the beginning.
Missy had started to give up hope that they would be found especially when her father’s health continued to deteriorate. Being rescued is the first step but now her father needs to recover and uncover who was responsible and why before they strike again.
Intrigue and revelations as even though Trey and Missy are brought together under less than ideal situations they begin to realize that sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it.
Trey by Dale Mayer The K9 Files Book Twenty-Eight Trey Dorchester was hoping for an assignment to find a War Dog. He didn’t mind working on houses and helping other vets, but helping a veteran dog sounded great to him. He couldn’t get to Maine fast enough when he heard about the dog’s owner and that he was missing…and the daughter. His old hometown and helping find people he’d known. It was time to go home. Missy Ragner figured she was dead. She had no idea how long they’d been on this island, their boat unusable, her dad at death’s door. She wouldn’t have made it this far without Schooner, their rescue dog. A great mystery read, with romance, of course. Several characters seemed sketchy enough to be the villain, so it kept my mind busy the entire read, trying to figure it out. **Mild sexual content and language https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Trey has asked about helping with the K9 program to search for missing retired K9s and has been handed a interesting case involving not only the dog but 2 people he has known from his past as well. Silas, a veterinarian and survival specialist had taken his daughter Missy out on his boat to celebrate her finishing her veterinarian exams when a storm came up and they did not return home. 3 weeks had passed and the rescue teams had been called off. Schooner the K9 had been trained with Silas and now retired, also had survival specialist training. With many unanswered questions this story keeps up the mystery and is difficult to put down. Great read!.

Trey's mission to find one of the K-9's was back home. His brother and SIL welcomed him. Lost at sea the dog and his family Silas and Missy turned out to be known from his childhood. Knowing the fishing spots it wasn't long for his rescue despite everyone else had given up ages ago. Sabotage rather than an accident made this a great story and a little different from the previous. As the dog was found early so it was Silas who remained in a coma being guarded. Someone wants them dead, why and who. The story was a little twisty, I didn't know until the reveal as my mind went elsewhere. Great story, exciting outcome and not to forget the romance between Trey and Silas's daughter Missy.
Wonderful depth of characters and town, there is history and it's voiced, fishing derbies, school ect which is great. Plot was suspenseful, interesting and twisted. It gave to readers right to the end. Trey was invested in the rescue from the second he heard the names of those missing and not just for Schooner. Romantic undertones I felt from the minute they met and they built as the story progressed, I loved this, Missy was dealing with a lot so the slower connecting felt right for the situation and friendship start. Perfect balance of mystery and romance for me, loved it.
Did not see that perp coming. Trey is back home searching for K9 War Dog Schooner as well as Missy and her father Silas. Its soon apparent their being lost was no accident. I loved following the clues with Trey. He's also reconnecting with his brother Jackson and people from his hometown. Missy stays glued to her father's side, which is totally understandable. Schooner for the win in this book. I appreciate some of the thing dealt with in Trey. Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely volunteer my honest thoughts and opinions. #Trey #K9Files #DaleMayer #ValleyPublishing #Booksprout
Another great K9 war dog mystery. Trey returns to Maine to look for war dog Schooner who went missing with his owner. It just so happens that Trey is from the area and knows the veterinarian who is missing. He searches for Schooner and his daughter Maisey who is also a veterinarian. They’ve been missing for weeks and when Trey finds them they are in pretty bad shape. Another war dog found however now the mystery of how did the boat get in a puck bad shape and what took so long to rescue them. Lots of twists in this one!
Trey is going home to look for a war dog who has disappeared with the veterinarian and his daughter Missy. Missy is giving up hope when Trey finds them. Thankfully Schooner is with them and helped to keep them alive. Now that their back Trey finds out someone tampered with the boat, and someone wants her father out of the picture. Who and why is someone after him. Lots of suspense and twists to keep you reading.
Trey doesn't have to think twice when asked about following up on a missing War Dog, Schooner, since it will give him a chance to visit with his brother and he knows the family that owns the War Dog. Schooner is certainly a star in this story due to her training, especially in survival. It was full of suspense as Trey worked toward finding out who was behind the sabotage of Silas's boat, especially with all of the different characters involved and the small town atmosphere.
Another amazing read for an amazing series. Love reading about the War Dogs. This storyline was a true who done it. So many ups and downs. Love the happy ending. Love that Trey found everyone on his first day. Trey and Missy are really a great team together. A very fast moving storyline. It kept you riveted as you wanted to find out who would do something so heinous. Can't wait for the next installment of K9 Files.
I don't think I will ever get tired of this series and always love when we get one of the guys reconnect with the past. So seeing Trey visit home and have a connection to Silas makes finding him, Missy and Schooner all the more important as well as keeping them out of danger.

The people in Trey's hometown are very interesting. Lots of twists as we read to figure out the who and why. Love Badger's comment to Kat at the end. Kat's final words made me laugh.

This was a very suspenseful and intense read. It was super easy to get caught up in Trey, Missy, Silas and Schooner's story. The action, emotion, drama and twists are skillfully crafted into a thrilling tale that was an enjoyable way to get my read on.
Yet another book I just had to finish reading from Dale Mayer. My attention was grabbed from the beginning and held throughout the book. I highly recommend Trey as the plot keeps you guessing as more characters are added with possible motive. Well done Dale on another excellent book.
Absolute perfection!! These characters captured my heart and soul and had me rooting for them. Beautifully written story and an addictive page turner! Had everything I love for a fantastic suspense book and more. Just love this book and series. Can’t wait for the next book. Happy reading
I love the k9 Files Books, I have all 28 books and hope the author plans for many more. The books are well written and the stories keep you reading from beginning to end.
Great characters, plenty of suspects, lots of mystery. Excellent storylines and wonderful small town dramatics. Wonderful, loving romance with an endearing couple. Fun and interesting book to read while second guessing the mysterious ending.
Trey headed back to his home town to find a lost war dog. What he finds is, its not just the war dog that has gone missing. Can he find the missing little group and then solve the mystery within the mystery?
Dale Mayer has done it again!!!! A fantastic book with suspense, romance and an amazing K9. I can't believe there has already been 28 books in this series!!! And I have loved everyone of them.
Men, women, dogs, intrigue, murder? There is nothing missing in this book. It is all there, plus some. Great storyline, beautiful background, and a wonderful ending. Well worth reading.
