Great story, Poor Characterazition
The plot and flow of the story was really well written. The reason I can’t give this book 5 stars is because for the first 60% of the story the characters were annoying and childish. It was like reading about 10 year olds trying to decided how to make it through problems. Very little actual logic and a bunch of temper tantrums. I essentially found a unique hate for Drale and the “golden turd”. Constance and Anastasia were annoying only for the fact that they had no backbone and barely contributed to decision making. The author doesn’t really flesh out the female characters. Beyond that, I loved the progression and the focus on Levy. Interested to see what comes next.

Great book!
I love reading this authors books! He really gives just enough on each character to bring them to life. I read all of his work twice now and honestly can't get enough.
This book was no exception. It took me down a road i did not see coming without feeling "plot forced".

Great read couldn't put it down.
This was a riveting Nd intriguing series. The character made you root for them every step of their journey. The story had a flow tonight was captivating and made you want to continue to read. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasy told in a gaming type of structure.

This was much than book 2 in terms of plot vs stat ratio. Right from the twist at the start of the book, there was a nice blend of story progression and action. The stat discussion and synergy stuff still went way over my head, but it was easy to skim them and just focus on the narrative. The climax was good, but I wish it had been a peaceful resolution.

Ahhh the fun of reading a good book!
You can tell a good author when you wait for the next book to come out and when you read it, you can pick up the characters and their story and their lives so easy and quickly that the story is just that much better. Completely recommend this book and the ones before it.

The story picked up the pace of progress and it got really good! And the characters even grew a lot more in this one. The author managed to keep a good amount of tactical action, but not just show every single move in every fight, so we were able to move faster to the big change points. Can't wait for the final book.
