You Can Say No to Chemo: Know Your Options, Choose for Yourself

Rate this book
It's Your Body and You Do Have Choices Beginning in 2011, journalist and health coach Laura Bond and her mother Gemma visited 60 of the world's foremost cancer specialists and healers who are getting remarkable results in treating cancer without radiation or chemotherapy. This book shares the most exciting discoveries they made in their travels. You'll read about everything from hydrogen peroxide therapies and juiced cannabis to highdose vitamin C, coffee enemas (The Gerson Method), eliminating sugar from the diet, drinking green vegetable juices, and infrared saunas. Quick to point out that every cancer and every body is different, Bond does not offer a onesizefitsall approach but throw the doors open wide to thinking about your treatment options--and even about cancer itself--in a whole new light. This book points the way toward making informed choices, based on information, not fear. Whether you are exploring treatment options, looking to build your body's own resources to heal and restore itself, hoping to find ways to supplement conventional care, or all of the above, look no further. This is the book you need.

An interesting and informative read but I found a lot of the advice to be anecdotal. There were several modalities that have since been proven to be downright dangerous. For example the apricot kernels, black salve, and ozone machine reccomend for $7k from a fraudulent man. With that said, I got a lot of ideas to research and try to see if they work for me.

I inherited this book from someone who passed away from cancer after spending $70,000 on these natural treatments that ultimately didn't do a damn thing to reduce or remove their cancer.

You can say no to chemo. But be aware that there are many, many grifters out there waiting to prey on your desire for hope in the face of a terrifying medical ordeal. They'll terrify you with stories of evil, money-grubbing oncologists and harsh, ineffective treatments, then offer false promises of gentle, natural remedies that sound more appealing. It sounds nice. It's tempting.

It's false.

Many of these remedies are great as a complement to conventional treatments, to reduce symptoms and boost your immune system.

But please, please don't fall for the grift.

This book is so true to my current condition. It gave me more hope than my oncologists did.
