I found this book to be an interesting read. Each shot is painted for you, from the distance to the lie and other conditions. In fact, they seemed to be so specific I was not sure if they would help much.
I did enjoy reading it. I feel that if I can remember some of them when I get into those situations it, it could be helpful.
I can not say I would recommend this over many other books if your goal is to improve your game. If you want an interesting read with specific shots and conditions that may help you one day, then yes, I would recommend this book.
