Masters of the Prairie Winds Club #1
Out of the Storm
Warning: For Mature Adult Audiences. Contains wording and actions some may deem offensive. Sexually explicit content. Menage - MFM In book one of Masters of the Prairie Winds Club: Tobi Stobel's life is a never-ending string of disasters interrupted by an occasional bit of chaos. The small magazine she works for is looking for any excuse to trim their staff and Tobi is next on the list unless she can land the interview with the sexy owners of Texas's newest and hottest BDSM club. After a chance encounter with their mother, the interview is scheduled and Tobi is sure fate must have been on a break. With her job hanging in the balance, the little blonde bundle of energy isn't about to let a little thing like a thunderstorm stand in her way. Kent West can't decide who he should be the most frustrated with, the annoying reporter that has hounded him and his brother, Kyle, for weeks for an interview or his mother for insisting they grant Tobi Strobel's request. But the weight of his exasperation swings toward the reporter when he fails to show up. When Kyle brings home a petite stunner and introduces her as the missing reporter, Kent is shocked and beyond pleased. Even soaking wet, the woman is spectacularly beautiful, but there is something else about her that captures both brothers' interest. Fate hasn't completely forgotten its grudge against Tobi, and its reluctance to let go not only endangers Tobi, but Kent and Kyle's mom as well. The West brothers are convinced Tobi is the woman they've always dreamed of sharing, but a stalker threatens to snatch her out of their grasp. Keeping the little trouble magnet safe proves to be a challenge for the former Special Forces soldiers, and sometimes all the financial resources in the world aren't enough to help-it all comes down to luck and timing.

Writing is an escape from normal - which bores me to distraction. I'm sure my family would assure you I haven't even been in normal's neighborhood in years so I probably don't have a real solid grasp of the concept.
I like writing characters that are flawed, but lovable. And I like creating strong women who aren't afraid to speak their minds to the men in their lives.
I also love hearing from readers! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and avery.gale@ymail.com are the best ways to get in touch with me. Let me know what you like and which characters you think should get their own stories!

From an interview in 2017:
"I don’t share a lot of personal information simply because I live in a small town and the genre I write doesn’t appeal to everyone.
My educational background includes a combined degree – psychology-criminal justice-sociology and a teaching certificate for secondary education. Lots of various jobs, something common in rural communities because there isn’t much available, so you need to be flexible."

It amazes me that people have given this book such a good rating. It not only contains usage errors and typos, but the heroine cries every couple of pages. Despite people referring to her intelligence and independence regularly, neither quality is evident in her actions, and the dialogue frequently slides into atrocious info dumping. Most appalling is the scene where the heroes' discipline of the heroine's infraction results in what a supposed physician refers to as a psychotic break, due to the Doms' not having fully discussed the heroine's negative reaction to a previous spanking. Even after discovering (too late) about the abuse she endured as a child, no discussion, resolution, or apology takes place in view of the reader. I certainly lost all my trust in the heroes.
I won't be purchasing any Avery Gale books in the future. I'm glad other readers enjoy her work, but I can't join them.

January 26, 2014Polyamory....Is it for everyone?
No of course not. The first book I read about this subject made me think nope not my cup O' Tea....However, when you get your hands
on book like this with such a beautiful love story you can't help but change your mind.
This story made me laugh and cry and I can't wait to read the next Doms' story. No spoilers here...don't worry folks. So keep a look-out for Avery Gales next story in this series.
BTW Ms.Gale does a great job with the whole BDSM subject, which again ,not my cup ,but she again does a great job of putting you into that club,so maybe I'm not so vanilla after all..;)
Thank you Ms.Avery. YOU are now on my Indie author list if favs..
Give this book a try..some will not like it,but I bet more will love it!

More please!!
Author Avery Gale is one of the best menage romance authors. Her books are well written, with strong characters and amazing females full of infectious charm and appeal.
I love the interaction between Kent and Kyle West. They are great find that will do anything to help someone in need, especially if that person is Tobi.
The chemistry attraction between the twins and Toni will draw you in. Tobi is a sweetheart that will make you fall in love with this story. Together they face obstacles of jealousy and hate. Our of the Storm is incredible, charming, and sensually erotic tale.
It's hard to put this story down. Highly addictive. I'm looking forward to reading more. As usual, another fantastic story!

I was disappointed with the book... it was a typical cliche menage romance... the thing that leaves me most sad about it, is that the characters had potential for a good book, but that’s not what happens...

Decided to step out of my comfort zone and try new authors.
Book 1 of my book adventure is a fail. DNF chapter 12.
Tepid dialogue, stiff boring one dimensional characters. I was bored and nodding off during their sex scene.

This review contains very light spoilers
This book truly does not deserve a five star review from anyone. Its male characters are all cookie cutter perfect men and the women are all damsels in distress without a backbone. The portrayal of BDSM is terribly inaccurate and grossly misrepresents the community. In absolutely no scenario would a respectable and experienced Dom just throw a new sub into the deep end of kink.
Kyle and Kent literally take Tobi who has only ever known a vanilla lifestyle and take her so far outside of her comfort zones it should not be a surprise she retreats into her head often. Not ONCE do Kyle or Kent discuss limits with her. They just use their assumed and very very very very small list of limits with her. If they had discussed them, they likely would not have caused her to have a panic attack that rendered her literally catatonic for hours! They just completely steamroll her because "she is submissive to the bone....." literally gag me that is so ridiculous.
At one point, she is terrified for the safety of her friend so she rushes outside and almost gets hit by her friends car. Since she didn't "trust her Doms to handle it" (oh you mean the people she has known for a week?) she is to be PUBLICLY WHIPPED. Please remember this woman has only been just introduced to the lifestyle one week ago, so this punishment is too extreme and simply unacceptable. They end up triggering her PTSD from when her dad would beat her and caused her to catatonic. The second one of them noticed she was disconnected from the scene and not in the right headspace they should have stopped, but no, they had to continue to show the rest of the BDSM Club members around that they deserved respect because they own it??? After this performance all you deserve is assault charges honey.
Kyle and Kent never apologize, we never see them having a discussion with Tobi about what went wrong or the limits of the scene. THEN SHE MARRIES THEM! I seriously wanted to set this book on fire and cry the entire time I was reading. It is just so terrible in terms of romance and its portrayal of BDSM. It is getting two stars because I liked her friend Gracie, the side characters are the only thing that saved this book. However then Ms.Gale goes on to ruin her in the next book sadly.

Loved.Kyle, Tobi, and Kent
Toni Strobel 's life hasn't been easy. She.lost her mother at a young age. Her father was an abusive drunk. Her much older brother verbally abusive and always disappointed in her. She made it though college with a degree in marketing and design, and has a job at a magazine.
Kyle and Kent West, are twins, raised in a poly family. Come from money. They served their country as SEALs. Now out they have built a successful BDSM club. Employ many of their former team mates.
Kyle meets Tobi in the middle of a storm, when she flags him down. She was on her way to Prairie Winds to interview the West brothers.
Kyle is smitten with the beautiful spitfire. Intrigue that his mama was behind their meeting. He quickly realizes Tobi is a submissive and has an interest is learning about the D/s lifestyle.
Kyle and Kent are more than happy to introduce Tobi to their world. The brothers thinks they may have found their one.
Tobi has a lot of baggage, and triggers Her esteem is low. The brothers work to build her up. Then it becomes clear that someone is out to get her. They will do anything to protect her. Their team/family are ready to help.
Fast paced and steamy MFM, BDSM romance. Great secondary character.

I've read another series by this author that I thought was just okay and decided to give this book a go. I really didn't enjoy this book. The author seems to make all of her female leads "think out loud" without realizing it. That was okay for 1 book, but not at least 3 in 2 different series, nope, I just couldn't enjoy it and had to force myself to finish the book.

Oh my god
This book was absolutely amazing. I had to read it in one day, hell in 5 hours. If I didn't have a child I would have read it in two. Avery had me hooked from the first line.

Avery Gale, Out of the
Storm...first of three PrairieWinds Club stories. Initially a fun premise, with twin brothers
seeking to share a sub, and they are sons of just such a
menage...interesting. But, the bdsm club they own is the most
extravagant on earth, as is their home and other properties. Virtually
every other character in the book (of their friends) is either also in a
menage, or wants to be. Their family and friends are so perfect it makes
my teeth hurt. The villain quickly destroys the female character's job,
home, and friends, leaving her no one to turn to, but our heroes, who,of
course, offer her money, a perfect job, a home, and ecstasy in their
arms. Who could say no?

Edited 7/11/22 to add:
Having just read Miami Bound, book 13 in the Masters of the Prairie Winds Club series, I knew it was time to re-read the entire series. Tobi West remains my all time favorite female character with Lilly running a very close second.
This was my first Avery Gale book and I absolutely loved it. I've been a devoted fan ever since reading it and Tobi West has become one of my all time favorite female characters. I love her sassiness, her lack of filters and the merry chase she leads her two oh so Dominant men on. Kyle and Kent West? Gorgeous Alpha males who protect and love Tobi with everything in them.

Out of the Storm wasn't a bad story. It had several moments of sweet and several moments of steam. My only problem with it was that it was virtually indistinguishable from the Club Isola series. Tobi had the exact same mind wandering, ADD tendencies as Holly and Callie in that series. Another similar element was how life had completely bedraggled the heroine to the point that it was almost depressing--dead end job, stalker, dysfunctional family ... GAH! It was an easy to read story, but I was expecting something different from the other series.

Meh, so so menage
Meh, so so menage
I love menage books, but this was a juvenile attempt. Tobi spent most of the book crying. She had no backbone. The story was just so so. The grammatical errors were plentiful (women instead of woman and sentences that made no sense until you removed words). An editor for the book would have been appreciated. I thought I had run across a promising new menage romance BDSM series, but after this book I won't be reading anymore of this series.
