Cruising the "information superhighway" by way of electronic mail, Katherine Simmons eventually puts her own marriage at risk as an idle curiosity about two men develops into an obsession with a computer-generated Mr. Right.
An absolute oddity from 1996 and a fairly rare book to find. I heard of it from a review in Edge videogame magazine. It's told in the form of emails like Matt Beaumont's "e" series of novels, but it lacks the fun of e.
A married woman with children discovers internet chat boards and pretty much has an affair with a few men , discovers cybersex and talks about her love of art.
This book is a real slog to get through. It's lengthy compared to "e" which is mercifully short, almost a novella. The sexual details are far more graphic than I expected and unless you are into it the descriptions of African art are surprisingly tedious. As expected it has dated internet language like when people use lol these days.
It's hard to recommend, but other readers might enjoy the characters and descriptions more than I did.
