Like the other Lovevery books, this follows the journey of JJ, slightly older than in the “learning to go pee” book. Now, follow JJ on their journey to pooping! Easy to hold for little hands (while sitting on their pottys) and easy to understand the emotions that might come with using a new toilet system. Does show a real poop in the end for those that are squeamish but it’s important (I think) for children to see what poop looks like and that it is totally normal and not something to be scared or ashamed of.

This book is part of the Lovevery potty training kit, which we gave to Jack today. He's not quite ready for potty training yet, but we wanted to be prepared for when he is. He always loves the Lovevery books, so he was excited to receive more and asked to read this one right away. We read it together, and as usual, he enjoyed the photos of a real kid, and I think he was interested in the potty part, as he has grown interested in the real toilet.

I have to admit, the poop photo shocked me. Yes, the book shows poop in the kid's training toilet. At first, I was grossed out, and I still kind of am, but in all fairness, it is the whole point of the book and it's good to set expectations for kids about what will happen and what things really look like.

Exactly what my toddler needs to prepare for potty training! Straightforward, age-appropriate, and with great photography. Just the right length.

My daughter is honestly obsessed with this book and I’m optimistic it will help us in our potty training journey. I could do without the photograph of real poop though.
