Trigger warnings: Cheating, fraud, emotional abuse, class difference, and a hella lot miscommunication.

This was a decent short story. With some romance, and some intriguing dialogue, it could've seen better days with a far stretched out story, more banter and wit, more show of their past friendship and love story, and maybe more into each other personalities.

More detailed is what I am saying would have been preferred rather than a short story.

Finally Yours is a book that covers quite a few tropes, haha. You've got your second chance romance with your first love, billionaire, small town romance all covered in this one. And to top it all off, it features GROWN ADULTS... I mean adults in their 40s. I can't even tell you how many GOOD romance books I've found that feature adults even close to my age and i'm in my 30s. [ because it's almost none ]. So I have to admit that was refreshing to see.

We have our male MC Phillip Conrad whom is our billionaire here. He offers our female MC Abby a proposal to help her financially after her husband leaves her broke and struggling when he is arrested for embezzlement. Is she too stubborn and proud to accept it?

Their history is covered a bit in the book as well. Apparently Phillip and Abby's husband were friends, and even though Abby & Phillip dated first, she somehow married the ... dbag husband instead. There are a few flaws in the plot that I didn't like... and that left a bad taste in my mouth about Abby in general. She got away without any legal troubles because she "didn't know" her husband was stealing, but at some point, she stole as well?

I didn't particular love Abby as a character either way, which is why I didn't give the book more stars.

Meh. 2.5 stars.
Didn't like the heroine. She was dishonest and I couldn't get past her stealing money. Particularly since her ex-husband had just been convicted of embezzlement, but she got off because she "didn't know"- whatever... I just couldn't like her at all.

The hero has been pining for her for 15 years, since she married his friend -the douche. Even though they were dating first, and he loved her, he didn't put up a fight at all when she got engaged to the other guy.

I didn't really care what happened in the end, because I didn't like the characters.

This book contains descriptive love scenes.

2.5 stars. The story was fine, but they just didn't communicate or act like they were trying to have an actual relationship. Phillip was also hot and cold so much, which was annoying.

I loved this second chance book! Poor Abby was a pariah now since her ex husband stole millions from their rich friends. She is struggling on her own and believe it or not works in the sporting store at their rich country club. I am sure you can imagine how some of those rich witches treated her. Abby does something stupid that helps bring her first love Phillip back in her life. I loved how he gave her an ultimatum that she couldn’t refuse. With the urging of her best friends she takes it. You need to read what happens next! I encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Abigail found ‘the one’ as a young woman, but was swept off her feet by one of his friends, and was disappointed that Phillip didn’t fight to keep her. She fell into marriage with Daniel, until he was found out to be a liar and cheat, who had conned their friends and many other people out of a lot of money. She divorced him, and was left with nothing, she wanted to return to college and finish her education, but couldn’t afford it. She was forced to take a job in the shop at the country club, where she used to be a member. She is looked down an by the members who privately wonder if she had been involved in Daniel’s scams. If it wasn’t for her small group of close girlfriends Abigail wouldn’t be able to cope.

Phillip comes into the shop and it is a reminder of how close they had once been. She makes a mistake, and he catches her, and makes a (possibly) indecent proposal, if she won’t accept he will report her. Although she is fairly sure he wouldn’t actually report her she agrees to the proposal. It all starts very badly … but improves over the course of the weekend.

And so begins the very happy rest of her life!

Love after 40!
4.5 Stars.
It is really refreshing to read a romance novel where the main characters are not high school teens, college kids or twenty somethings, but adults who have already been round the block once or who prioritised different things in life and are getting a first or second chance at love, and that it what this is.
It's a second chance love story with romance, passion and red hot sex scenes which is great to read as hot sweaty sex should NOT be reserved for the under 30s crowd! The story was easy to read, albeit a little short, and I loved the group of strong independent women who made up Abigail’s girlfriends; all of them great characters themselves who I hope get their own stories. This was a great series starter and I’m looking forward to reading more about these women, their lives and experiences in Aspen Valley.

What is it with these billionaire book tropes?

Mills n boon with sex.

Boring, corny, formulaic and beyond average. Nothing special, like every other book of this trope. Add in 2nd chance and plus 40 character trope too gives us an incredibly below par book.

No depth, no pace, absolutely dreadful, I mean this is something like I read 30 years ago, we've come a long way in what we want from our romance books and this is so old fashioned I cringed reading it.

Wonderful Read. Abigail had led a wealthy life unknowing that her husband was a thief. When her status changed dramatically, it was very difficult. Then an old flame came in where she worked and things started looking up (not before she had a moment that she forgot who she was) When she learned the conseqences of her actions, her friends thought she should go for it. Phillip wanted her to spend the weekend with him and they had some rough moments where she took what he was doing the wrong way. He loved her and she had loved him 20 years ago. It took a little talking and some hot sex, but they finally got on the same page. The story had catty women, some very strong friends, some hot sex and a wonderful HEA

This second chance romance is for the “mature” crowd…the characters are in their 40’s and proving that love is sexy and beautiful no matter what your age!
Abby and Philip have finally learned to communicate…years after he walked away and let her marry another man. Abby is strong but broken down from the failure of her marriage and the scandal that came from it. She still loves Philip but is unsure of getting involved again.
This book is a steamier read than others in Elena Aitken’s catalogue and I adored it! Her writing is just as wonderful as it always is, but that bedroom door is wide open! In this series, that’s a definite plus! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

I received an advance copy from the author for my honest review. I love that the author gives both main characters points of view. Elena Aitken, the author, does this with her books and I highly recommend that you read her other books. For this story, Abigail, who is recently divorced, is working in a pro shop at a club. Phillip, an ex-boyfriend, comes in and unbeknownst to her really wanted to see her. This is a second chance romance and even though the book is novella length, Elena does a great job pulling us into the story and giving us enough character development. I really enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to reading the others in this series.

Finally Yours is the first book in Elena Aitken’s new Finally series. I love a good second chance romance and this did not disappoint. Abby and Phillip share a long history and when Abby’s life falls apart, Phillip finds a way to bring happiness back to her again. Although he does this through a bribe, per say, this is a quick read filled with wonderful characters.

Elena Aitken is one of my favorite authors, so I knew I had to read the Summer Love anthology, when it was available. I fell in love with Finally Yours, which is centered around Phillip and Abby. If you enjoy second chance romances, you will want to read this introduction to her new series set in Aspen Valley. Please do yourself a favor and grab Finally Yours and see what happens.

I don't normally like second chance romances but this was a good one. Abby and Phillip had dated many years previously but split up when Phillip's friend pretty much stole Abby away. They then reconnect under very different circumstances following Abby's divorce. I won't spoil the story by giving any more away but it was a really good read which I really enjoyed. Lots more heat than Elena's usual books but I don't mind that! I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Lovely start to this series of more mature couples finding love. Abby and Phillip were together before but through lack of communication, Daniel moved in on Abby and Phillip lost out. Years later after her failed marriage and need for money, Abby makes a poor choice that leads Phillip to devise a plan to get them back together. Hot and steamy second chance romance. I loved this book. It transported me away from my everyday to a place that I could relax with an amazing story. It moves along at a good pace which made for an enjoyable read. The characters are great and seem so real that you feel as though you know them and the story will grab you and keep you interested and reading until the end. Abby and Phillip had a brief love affair but then he walked away leaving her confused. She ended up with the wrong man and she paid the price. Now years later, she's single and Phillip sees his chance to win her over. Plenty of chemistry (and misunderstandings) for these two as they give love a chance. An enjoyable second chance romance for this more mature (in their 40's) couple.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. We meet Abby who is now divorced from her cheating and fraudulent hubby. She is left kind of destitute and shunned by ppl who used to be her friends. Now working at the country club to make ends meet. Phillip, a friend and pat crush catches Abby in a compromising position and offers her a way out.. that works for him. He has always had a thing for Abby and now that's she's divorced there is nothing stopping him from taking what he wants. Will this work out for them or will Abby he left heartbroken again?

This story takes place in a small town. Abigail/Abby Blakely has gone from being part of the country club scene to a worker in said club after her ex embezzled most of it’s members. When her first love, Philip Conrad, now a very wealthy man, shows up in her place of work, it’s evident that the sparks are still there. But she’s done something she would have never dreamed of. He gives her an out. Will this lead to a second chance in life and love?
Don’t miss the epilogue offered at the end of the story.

I always get excited when a favorite Author has a new book and it starts a series.
Elena Aitken’s, FINALLY YOURS, is full of surprises, along with touches of humor. Abby and Philip are characters that are over 40 with charming personalities. Abby has gone from riches to rags because of an ex-husband. Philip is wealthy with a proposition that Abby can’t refuse.
This is a second chance romance, I loved and highly recommend!
Looking forward to the next book in the new series.

I love Elena Aitkin's books and this will not disappoint.
