I can’t get enough of her and now I’m stuck in this ridiculous friends-with-benefits arrangement I never wanted but agreed to so I could be with her in any way possible.

I didn’t like his name especially when they call him hawk. His long hair was bad but at least they only mentioned it a few times. The end was lame with her thinking her brother has a say in her life. It also just kind of ended abruptly.

So I definitely liked this one more than the last one. I still didn’t like Dex in this book. I swear he only wants his girl because of the sex, that’s literally all he talks about. Never about how much he loves her. Anyway this story was not about him but about his sister and his bff.
Rory was a great female character. She was funny and actually pretty tough. I just didn’t like when she messed up everything between her and Hawken. She was so strong for the whole book until then so it didn’t make sense that she just blew up her life like that.
Hawken was really sweet. I loved that he was the one pursing her. It was him that wanted to be all in with her and at a point he didn’t even care if his best friend knew. The only thing that bugged me about him was apparently he wanted Rory for years yet still chose to sleep with women left and right. He told Rory it wasn’t how he wanted to be, he wanted to settle down but it was hard finding someone who wanted him for him. But that didn’t stop him from leaving with a woman, sometimes two? He had no self control? He wanted Rory so much? (This is not shown in the book but is discussed in a conversation between him and Rory)
There were a few too many sex scenes. I feel like I’ve said this in every review in this series but the sex talk here makes me cringe. It’s not sexy and they talk way too freaking much during sex.
And sorry Rory but talking to your brother on the phone while you’re having sex with his bestie is NOT hot. (According to her it is) Any relative would be cringy.
Also I have no freaking clue what these two MCs look like and I have no idea how old they are.
So overall I did like this read. Nothing has beat Milo and Charlee so far though.
The excerpt of the next book has me excited for Quinton and Kinsley!

The beginning wasn’t my favorite; kinda weird and boring. I came to realize that many of the characters are immature, like to talk dirty and have weird talks. Also, non of the stories happened during other books, especially this one.
When SPICE hit between Rory and Hawk (what a name) it was easier to read although, it was a little too much.😅 There was possibly to put something else than just s…. e…x.
Dex was smart too. He knew what is going on but played it nice.

REVIEW:
Forbidden Game is the fourth book about Dex's best friend Hawken and Dex's sister Rory falling in love with each other after several years of friendship. I enjoyed reading how both Rory and Hawken finally let the love they have for each other be more than as friends. But there were times that I really had a hard not skipping ahead because it was so slow how these two were just dancing around each other. The moment that Hawken found Rory's sex toy she named after him The Hawk was when he decided to take his shot with Rory. It was the moment that Rory got hurt at one of the hockey games that had Hawken realize that he wanted the friends with benefits to be a real loving relationship.
It was very lovely when Hawken was first to tell Rory that he loved her as the woman he wanted in his life forever though she runs scared after that. There were a few funny moments between Hawken and Rory as they tried to keep their sexual relationship from Dex. The ending was the best because Dex had known they were both having a sexual relationship and supported their relationship even though he never let either of them know that he knew from almost the beginning of their relationship. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Rory & Hawk! They have secretly liked each other for years but because of Dex neither were willing to pursue each other. I love how the bonus epilogue from Dexters book was the beginning of this book but from Rory & Hawks POV.
Rory is this bright bubbly woman who is full of life and loves her kids. Hawken is such a sweet man especially when it comes to Rory. It was so cute in the beginning when Hawk meets Rory he refers to her as a pack of skittles because of her choice of outfit.
Each book in this series the banter between the characters only gets better and funnier. Especially when “Code Pink” is accidentally revealed to Rory and she loses her crap on Dex. When she disappeared from the group because she was so mad, Hawk was the one person who immediately left the group in search of Rory to make sure she was okay.
I love throughout the story we get to see how much Hawk truly cares for her by his actions, he is not a fan of chocolate but keeps chocolate syrup in his home because he knows Rorys favorite drink is chocolate milk; he keeps her favorite coffee so she can have some if she wants; shows up for her school carnival because needed him and hes willing to protect her at all cost even when its hurting him. And he builds her a freaking FORT to try and make her feel better.
And we can’t forget she names her toy after her “The Hawk” after him.

So many LOL moments!
I love this series. Each book is seriously better than the last. Once again, Susan Renee delivers characters that are completely relatable and authentic. The banter and lines in this one will literally have you laughing out loud, so make sure you read this somewhere that’s ok. You will probably need to google some things and will learn about a whole new kind of mitten.
Forbidden is one of my favorite tropes. I just eat up the tension that builds and boy does it build between Rory and Hawken. They already have such a great relationship as friends, while both secretly harboring dirty thoughts, that you would think once they give in all will be easy between them. And it is, as long as they act like the outside world doesn’t exist. Rory’s big, caring heart gets in the way while trying to make room for someone else. Hawken delivers so many swoony lines along with all the filthy things he kept inside since he’s known Rory.
If you haven’t read the first three books of the series, you got some reading to do.

I DEVOURED this book!!!!
Rory and Hawk have a beautiful relationship that might have had a couple bumps in the road but is one that any girl dreams of having. Even though hes supposed to be off limits because hes the brothers best friend, their chemistry is just off the charts!!!! Hawk is so caring and does such a good job taking care of Rory. He accepts every part of her that she is insecure about and embraces it with open arms.
This book has so many points where I just had to sit it down for a minute while I composed myself from laughing so hard. This group of people are just the life of the party and I love them so much.
These books are honestly one of my top favs, i always look forward to the next one and I am not someone who usually continues reading series when not all the books are out. I cant wait to see what the rest of the guys have in store for us!!!

Hawken si Rory se cunosc de cativa ani, de cand acesta a inceput sa joace cu fratele ei in aceeasi echipa de hockey. Rory e educatoare la gradinita, toata viata a stat in umbra fratelui ei si fiecare relatie pe care a avut-o a fost de scurta durata pt ca si-a dat seama ca toti vroiau sa fie cu ea doar pt cine e fratele ei. Hawken observa cum toti prietenii lui au gasit fericirea alaturi de persoana iubita si isi doreste si el acelasi lucru. Prietenie lui cu Rory e mai mult decat isi dau seama amandoi. Hawken are grija sa aiba intotdeauna sos de ciocolata pt ea la el in casa desi lui nu ii place, cand aceasta e ranita la un meci de al lor , Hawken accidenteaza pe cineva doar ca sa fie trimis pe tusa sa poata sa vada daca Rory e ok si mai tarziu o duce la el acasa sa o supravegheze peste noapte, cand Dex, ii sare in ajutor oricand are nevoie si ea acolo pt ea. Rory and Hawken are fire!!!
We met Rory in Beyond the Game as Dex’s sister. She quickly became a character I wanted to know more about and this book did not disappoint!
Hawken is on her brothers hockey team and also happens to be his best friend. He is instantly attracted to Rory but Dex has a strict no fraternizing with his sister rule so he never makes a move.
One night, he can’t take it anymore and kisses her which leads to a delicious friends with benefits, secret relationship that was absolutely worth the wait!
Rory doesn’t take anyone’s crap and, outside of the third act drama, doesn’t let anyone tell her she can’t have what she wants.
I loved the dynamic between these two and how they work through their feelings while trying to keep it a secret from Dex all at the same time! It’s a quirky rom-com that I can’t recommend enough!

Ms. Susan Renee never disappoints and this book is further proof of that.
The adventures of the Red Tails continues with Dex and Rory and in all honesty, this is my favorite book. To me, the characters are the most believable, have some of the best lines ever, and their chemistry is palpable. Like, you can feel the tension between two completely fictional people. That's how talented Ms. Susan Renee is.
Whenever you are close friends with your sibling's friends, things get complicated. They way they maneuvered around it and the way they found the path through to each other was beautifully and soulfully written. You will laugh out loud, cry, want to throw things, and fall in love throughout the whole book. Just perfect.

Hawken & Rory
I have to admit that I had a hard time liking Rory and Hawken at first but as I got further along I really started to enjoy their story. They’ve both had a crush on one another for years and finally had their moment. While they were working up to their HEA there were so many funny and sweet moments between them and some really spicy ones too. I adored Hawken getting a penalty so he could check on when she got hurt. They had some really great moments when they were hiding their relationship.

Oh my holy hell!! I have been waiting for this book since I binged the first 3 books of the series! The books just seem to get better each time, and even though I knew this would be good it still was so much better than I could've hoped. The author out did herself and jumped right in with the story, I laughed so hard throughout the book. The author definitely has a way of hooking you with both a lot of laughs and hot and spicy relationships! I LOVED absolutely everything about this book and I'm so sad it's over because it was AMAZING! I absolutely can't wait for the next one and I can't recommend these books enough!

Rory has liked Hawken for as long as she can remember. She even named one of her toys after him. Rory's brother Dex has warned Hawken and all their teammates that no one is allowed to date or sleep with Rory. What happens when you want to sleep with one of your brothers teammates?

Rookie Red Tails are given one big rule when they join the team don’t look at, flirt with, or otherwise try to hook up with team member Dex Fosters sister Rory. A rule Hawken Malone followed for many years especially as he and Dex became best friends, but things change and rules are meant to be broken because Hawken has a secret he had spent years crushing on Rory, when fate presents himself a chance to have a piece of Rory he makes it his mission to prove he will always choose her, even if it means ruin his relationship with her brother.
This story was a wonderful brothers best friend with an element of forbidden romance. Funny and sweet with plenty of spicy high jinx afoot

Hmmm
Okay I really liked all the books and I love Rory and Hawken together. This is a personal opinion/frustration, but I was so mad at Rory bc like come on she just kept going in circles and making me mad. I still love the books and I get that it’s a bit different from the others. I really didn’t get the feel of the brothers best friends sister vibe from them which I liked and was mentioned in the book. I will still keep reading unfortunately I read one out of order (I read book 5 first) but I still love this short and sweet series. It’s a nice breather from some of the books I’ve read that are at times a bit too detailed and long.

I will Hustle, hit and never quit this series. To say I have been waiting for Rory and Hawken (The Hawk) is an understatement. I've been anxious, impatient and so ready for this book for so damn long.
This amazing Brother's best friend hockey romance has me believing true love still exists. These two are my OTP of the series and I will not leave room for discussion.
Great read, amazing chemistry and love story mixed with characters we know and adore. I will never get enough of the Chicago Red Tails and their shenanigens.

I LOVED Hawken and Rory’s story. They are adorably cute as friends, I mean come on he keeps chocolate milk just for her! But man oh man did I love when that friendship developed into more. Hot, swoony, all the wonderful things that make a great hero. I related to Rory’s fears (even if I wouldn’t have gone about them the way she did). And that ending! OMG I almost died laughing and then crying at the sincerity of it.
Long story short if you want a fantastic friends to lovers hockey romance, I HIGHLY recommend this one!

Yes, please!! This was fabulous! There were so many times when I was like. "Oh no! They're going to get caught" but then...(no spoilers here).. how it all gets unveiled was nothing like I expected. It was amazing!!
I don't know how you can't fall in love with all the characters.
This one I would say is spicier than the others. So if you don't like descriptive love scenes, do not read this book.
Would I recommend it to someone who loves this genre? Absolutely!

Ok, so this almost had 5 stars....almost. The reason it doesn't is Rory's melt down. She comes across as a strong independent woman the entire book, and then all of a sudden she's ridiculous. It really annoyed me honestly because Hawk was so head over heels ready to tell her brother everything in love with her. And she said all the words, had all the sex and then dropped him because of her brother. What redeemed her actions were Dex's reactions. Loved it! All in all I do love Rory and Hawk though....great book for sure!

Wow ! Ok, so first you gotta start with the whole brother-sister relationship of Dex and Rory. This is what I always thought it would be like to have an older brother lol, the love, the sarcasm, and the joking and the protectiveness of their relationship. Then you have hawk .. he flies off the pages of the story. His sexiness, his protectivness, his loyalty to his friends . Then you put Rory and Hawk together and it's a recipe for spice! It's a must read and a page turner ! Loved this story! As always the wittiness of the hockey group together is fantastic .

Another fabulous read from Susan. Been waiting on this book for what feels like forever, it didn’t disappoint, laughter + tears.
Pink code, yellow chair, the hawk, darts, key west are few things to look forward to, I don’t want to give story away.
Can’t wait to read Quentin + Zeke’s story’s, was lovely to see updates on previous characters, hopefully have more updates on the mini red tails in future books.

I've been waiting to read what is happening behind the scenes with The Hawk and Rory!! I've been imagining what was happening since reading this series and the story was WAY better than what I was imagining!!

Finished this book in 1 day!! So good! Loved the banter, the couple!! The BOYS! One thing is that the reasoning of why she wasn’t with the MC was a little stupid to me and in reality she knew it but then she got over it so fast. Would have loved to see a more detailed breakup and realization of that he loves him. Loved the story but that felt a little off and just that we wanted to end the series not complete a book.

Just keeps getting better.
My new favorite of the series. I've been waiting forever for Rory and Hawk's story, and it did not disappoint. The dunk tank was hilarious, and the big reveal from Dex just made me love him even more! Rory is hilarious, and it was nice to get a look at her vulnerable side since she has always been portrayed as a strong character. Hawk surprised me and has become my favorite Red Tail player! Can't wait for the next book!

This book was a hit. MFC falls for her brother’s best friend which is his teammate. Rory is hilarious. Definitely the sister of a hockey player. She takes no shit and the best part about it is she’s a kindergarten teacher. The MMC is swoon worthy. He’s the most caring and couldn’t be any better for Rory. She needed a man like him. Loved this book but again book 5 of this series is still my favorite.

This book started strong, I love a best friends brother trope and hockey romance in one. Hawken is really likable and tried his best to communicate with Rory. She was kind of irritating especially towards the end. The whole book she complained about her brother getting in the way of relationships just for her to use him as an excuse not to be with someone she loved. The book also ended rather abruptly, overall it was fine. Wouldn’t read again.

Forbidden Game
Oh my! I cried so much during this book - mostly happy tears though. Hawk and Rory are absolutely magical together and I totally fell in love with their story!! So. Freaking. Hot. Hawk with his hair long enough for a man bun and Rory with her tough but cuter than anything attitude will melt your heart!! Plus the nice little surprise 3/4 of the way through the book made me do a happy dance. This series is beyond amazing and I’m down for all of it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
